Show me trans characters who don’t pass
Companion thread to my "Show me stealth trans characters" thread; consider posting there as well if you have characters who fit the prompt!
Hi! I know there’s a couple of “show me your trans characters” threads out there already, but I wanted to make one with a twist! This one is only for trans characters who (usually) do not pass as their true gender in-universe, as I feel like they’re not that common on Toyhouse.
The reason why they do not pass can be anything: maybe they’re closeted, maybe they don’t have access to ways to transition, or maybe they just don’t feel like it! Feel free to ramble, I'd love to read about it.
Some rules/guidelines to keep things nice:
- Please stay respectful of both other people’s characters and yours! No misgendering, use of transphobic language or the like. This includes both your posts and the profiles you link.
- No NSFW; I’d like this thread to stay accessible to people of all ages.
- For now I’ll allow cis allies to post here, but if I feel like too many issues arise, I might only allow trans people to post. Know your place.
- Stay civil and normal and everything should be alright! Have fun!

Just uploaded this boy a few days ago! He hates wearing a chest binder or binding tape, so he has just decided he's not going to. And if you misgender him, he will simply step on you.
This is Piichi, my transgender Miltank! The point of his existence is to show off a more feminine side for myself. He is curvy and prefers feminine clothing, and because he's curvy, he gets mislabeled. Despite that, he doesn't ever intend to conform to the expected binary roles -- he loves makeup, feeling cute and looking pretty!

Sable is a trans mare! Where she comes from, the biological males of her race have the forward-curving horns she does, and this, combined with her having a naturally masculine build and flat chest (she hasn't undergone surgery), has often gotten her mistaken for a guy :'D
She has trained her voice to sound more feminine though, so that does help some :0c

Leeks presents fairly masculine and prefers it that way. Thankfully transphobia doesn't happen at all in this story, but she's pretty heavily trans-coded
I decided on their gender 2 months after I designed them- So they get misgendered a lot cause they present as female- Though they prefer it that way and say frick societies rules, im gonna be an enby an d you're gonna refer to me as such-
The males of her species have longer, bifurcated antennae, Females don't. Xuri'ya, Being MTF trans, Still has the antennae that a male would have. She's pretty happy with her identity nonetheless. Despite being pretty easily mistaken for a male of her species, She's female and prefers to be referred to as such.
