Show me trans characters who don’t pass

MYtckxp.gif

Companion thread to my "Show me stealth trans characters" thread; consider posting there as well if you have characters who fit the prompt!

Hi! I know there’s a couple of “show me your trans characters” threads out there already, but I wanted to make one with a twist! This one is only for trans characters who (usually) do not pass as their true gender in-universe, as I feel like they’re not that common on Toyhouse.

The reason why they do not pass can be anything: maybe they’re closeted, maybe they don’t have access to ways to transition, or maybe they just don’t feel like it! Feel free to ramble, I'd love to read about it.

Some rules/guidelines to keep things nice:

  • Please stay respectful of both other people’s characters and yours! No misgendering, use of transphobic language or the like. This includes both your posts and the profiles you link.
  • No NSFW; I’d like this thread to stay accessible to people of all ages.
  • For now I’ll allow cis allies to post here, but if I feel like too many issues arise, I might only allow trans people to post. Know your place.
  • Stay civil and normal and everything should be alright! Have fun!

More of my "Show me..." threads:

Johnny flatworld

johnny is transmasc!!! he has really mild shapeshifting skills so he theoretically could get rid of his boobs but he thinks theyre fun <3

Koda queercoded

koda is trans(he/it pronouns)! however he's very closeted and can't transition, he wears a binder instead

acronycjellyfish

hm thinks about it!! i think my characters dredgen and siryl could fit in here for different reasons but fskdfj

dredgen (they/them) is a big minotaur w a deep voice and has gotten misgendered but yeah. they dont change anything abt their appearance bc they dont want to fjsdkf. they would rather not be perceived at all in all honesty!! head empty no gender no one look at me

siryl!! (he/they) is a whole mess but uh Yeah i think theyre pretty androgynous and their gender has come up in game but androgyny is their own double edged sword bc theyre transmasc and does Not want to be read as a woman but it happens. they do have dysphoria and also just have a huge disconnect from their body. its like just noticing something is off and then agonizing over when you realize it, if that makes sense. they can do their duties and go about their day whatever. that said they also dont really bind BC LIKE. okay. bc of like backstory stuff and then Dying and then added amnesia (like A Lot) the disconnect is even bigger but they dont necessarily have like. An Idea of what to do about it. its a whole thing but yeah imagine dying and then waking up and rediscovering you have dysphoria and not knowing how your body became your body and just knowing Something is wrong. i have completely normal thoughts about siryl

Fixie flatworld

lady is transfem and she doesnt pass!!! she has a rly 'masculine' and muscular frame and a deep (albeit gentle) voice. she loves metal music and loves working out and doesnt rly see a necessity in 'passing', since her workplace is pretty progressive and accepting. YAY

 Maisy ayuyu

i haven't rly wrote much about bun yet but

she presents very fem obviously...

non biney!!!! haven't rly thought about it but maybe demiboy?

ChanteRyuutai

Please excuse the not even close to finished profiles.

But, ye, so, Otte ( https://toyhou.se/11018816.otto-otte ) is genderfluid, on most of the main point of the story she's a woman. And the thing is, as much as visually they can mostly get away with being perceived with waterever they try to due to them just "looking somewhere in between androgynous and masc because if their physique based on the standarts of their universe", Otte's noice is the ""problem"" or that's what she calls it at least, she tried training her voice for quite a while and she does thing it did get slightly better, but just not enough to pass :')

And here another one, this little rat dude ( https://toyhou.se/13131413.ogey-rrrraaaaat ), he is a closeted transmasc, but since he was pretty androgynous at a younger age with his choice of clothing he used to get "confused with a boy" as he used to say, now that puberty hit, and that's no more, he gets misgendered pretty often even tho he actually came out, has some really supportive friends, parents didn't do the worst, but the most they agreed on letting him have is a binder, but he's saving up to get out of his parents house as soon as he can and do their best to live life to the fullest in his own Accord!

I probably have one or two more that I'm forgetting, but it's way too late, O should sleep, lol. Great idea btw!!!!!! As a trans person myself it's very nice to see the comments here!!

Alexis Tuymoe

Alexis is nb but passes as male due to them only being out to their closest friends (and later their parents). They don't mind thaat much when other people misgender them, though they'd definitely prefer they/them being used on them :)

ElkCreek-Archive

FINALLY.

alfie is amab nonbinary (they/them), they enjoy having facial hair nonetheless and are generally happy with their appearance

bebe passes kind of well physically, except she has a very masculine voice and she probably wouldn't pass in our world

carson is often mistaken for a male as she doesn't want to physically transition

davey is still physically feminine and has major dysphoria!

these two are trans women, but are GNC as hell and often get misgendered

romeo is transfeminine and a shapeshifter but she prefers to stay in her masculine form

Micah (4-5) BoggieGoose

*muffled screaming from being suffocated by the patriarchy*

everyone still calls her prince, save for her sister. this makes her want to punch a lot of folks

Micah, MtF, pre-surgery

Chalcocite BoggieGoose

Chal is also MtF, but they can't pass because hormones are not a thing in a world where the star disappeared

Currant BvnnyStitch

currant is a trans guy who uses exclusively he/him and yeah he looks really feminine but doesn't care
