Her prop isn’t the most wonderful in context but I’m content with its design. It’s a metal bonnet that functions as an ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) helmet. Chanel’s enhanced neural activity comes with a downside, which is her catatonic fluctuations. This helmet sends low-frequency currents of electricity into her brain periodically to reset its chemical composure in the form of minor seizures, which helps prevent stuporous episodes. She had this helmet installed by her “agent” who gave it to her to benefit her during battle. Though, this process isn’t painless at all and she suffers greatly in her situation. Unfortunately, it’s the only way she can consistently remain motile.
