Yay another digimon fan!
I hope this thread does well.
I'm not sure if this will be well recognized as Pokemon. But I'm a fan of Digimon too and would love to see a thread like this perform well!
Basically, It plays the same but instead you are choosing Digimon for the character above and giving a reason why. Perhaps based on the Character's Appearance, Personality, Story, If they would make a good partner, etc.
In Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega, DNA, Spirit Evolution, All are welcomed here just as long as they are actual Digimon characters.
Example: My Vendetta would match up great with Archnemon because they are both able to take a humanoid appearance, can be evil, and can be quite short tempered at times.

Admittedly since Digimon all have different personalities I'm basing this more on vibes but I thought of Floramon!
I really love it when Digimon contrast their partners and thought Floramon's bright and colorful appearance would look nice when paired with Grace's more muted color scheme! I could imagine her partner having a bit more outgoing and outspoken personality so they could help her feel more confident around men and also to help around at her workplace! I tried to tentatively look for a potential evolution line and thought of Floramon -> Kiwimon --> Lilamon but I feel like you'd probably know better which evo line would really reflect Grace herself the best haha

paris definitely fits the vibe of some holy digimon by aesthetic first glance, so perhaps seraphimon w/ the patamon evo line. or, maybe even calumon as a rookie partner (tho calumon in the anime was a baby boy and im not sure if their personalities match).

I wanna try & give her a partner digimon rather than just any digimon, because she seems like the kind of protag who'd have one...
okay, reading thru her profile I notice Evie's goals an personality are more self-oriented rather than particularly justice/protection oriented, so I wanted to pick a digimon with a Data attribute... but I couldn't think of any data types who'd match or compliment her mischievous, energetic, daredevilly antics--I could never imagine pairing her with something like Gabumon lmao poor gabumon
Gatomon is the way-too-obvious choice, since, y'know, they're both cats, but I feel like that would be a bit much...
So I'm gonna say Veemon? Veemon often has a kinda energetic and mischievous personality, and I think would be able to keep up with her energy and risktaking. Also I could imagine Veemon definitely being a bit of an enabler when it comes to shirking her studies lmao so I could definitely see her getting along with a Veemon. Veemon also might provide an interesting contrast to her (what I'm reading as) aimless & kinda people-pleasing nature, since it has a strong sense of justice and might encourage her to think more about what it is that she wants and what she's trying to actually accomplish... c:
So yeah I picked them because of their shared mischief but I think they could compliment each other in a cool way too. Plus I think they work visually too--veemon's not really catlike but it doesnt clash with her either. Two cats might not get along either :')
This might be a bit obvious but I'd say Impmon. It enjoys rebelling, stands up to digimon stronger than it, but it also has a hidden lonely side. And if it evolves into Beelzemon they'd be rocking the same style lol.
I can't help but join in on this. So I noticed a sea theme with Mant. Big claws, blue and white ascetic. Thought Gomamon might be a good partner with him. Both are good swimmers and could be rather playful.
Since I see that Talos is a villainous type character, I think an evil-looking Digimon like Impmon would be their partner :>
i read over larissa’s profile and i’m going to say pabumon! i think, because she’s a kind girl who is beginning her journey through life, it makes sense for her to have a digimon that’s still beginning to grow itself. and, based on her pokemon being larvesta, this baby digimon can also digivolve into a couple digimon that kind of remind me of larvesta so that’s the association for me haha.
I want to say Veemon just because of his name, but I choose BlackGuilmon due to it's ability to blend into the shadows. much easier than Guilmon and it's attribute being Virus, a nod to his spy work
Being a huge fan of digimon I’ve seen how partners are either complimentary to the personality or the opposite. So for Aiko I can actually see Floramon. 
They are usually sweet, energetic, warm, social, and kind. I can see Floramon cheering up Aiko with something sweet to eat or lending a helping hand when she can.
(I haven’t developed my human characters just yet so just imagine Jesse as a human)
