Rate the Character Design Above You (GAME)

RATING(1-10): 8/10

EXPLAIN RATING: I love characters who looks normal. Okay this one is not totally normal, but if you forget the tail and horns, he is a random dude with long brown hairs and...'kay, yellow eyes are not "normal" but still. I mean. I love characters who does not rely on weird markings and colours. This guy as a simple and rather natural design and I like it. Because it gives more importance to the character itself (background, personality, ongoing story...) than the design and "species". And this is the kind of character I love! 
Also, it may be a detail, but I love the fact that his tail is the same colour than hos skin. Because now that I see it, it would not make sense if the tail was of a different colour, right? Like nekomimis whose ears and tail have a different colour than hairs. Does not make sense. This guy's tail really belongs to his body and this is nice.
His clothes are really good too. They are not overdone, they are normal, the kind of clothes someone would actually wear.... but not in our current world. We still can see that this guy is at least from another time. I guess this is medieval fantasy. Yeah, this guy has interesting clothes overall. Not too excentric. Still his own clothing style.

However, I while I like his simplicity and the overall idea, I still would not say I love him. He does not catch my eye that much. This is why I only rate him 8. Higher notes would be for characters that makes me like "woaah I love him so much!".

YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME: Hyrokin

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: He's from a dice roleplay. His design had to fit with the race (cat-folks, basically just anthro cats). But he probably would not have been more "special" than this anyway.

Explain rating: I love characters that look like they do, although I have seen a lot of characters that are red furred and such. I wish I could understand what was said in the profile because I am sure it is amazing! I'd really love to learn more about them, maybe see more art of them in different outfits and the like? To see more of a personality. I have a weakness for feline characters who aren't very special but are special in their own way! *Terrible at explaining*

Your character's name: Prince Lano

Anything you'd like to say about your character: He's a well known prince from a desert like kingdom which a few others of mine live in. He has a sibling who likes to cling to him on a daily basis, althought he doesn't enjoy it very much. He lost his arm in a fight with another fellow Naga who was wanting to take the throne but he had won the battle. The rules to rule is you have to kill the previous ruler, and he has come very close to death many times but refuses to give up. Nothing super special about him of course.

EXPLAIN RATING: Like last time, I have my rating divided by two for design and backstory.  I'll begin with the design.  The color choice is fantastic with good harmony and tasteful contrasts.  He also seems complex without over-doing it or forcing it on if you know what I mean.  Overall, he's a beautiful character. 5/5

As for the backstory, it is short and sweet.  I'm surprised that you can explain who he is with little words and I admire how he managed to overcome his limb loss.  Sadly, there is a lack of development after that.  What happens during his life as a ruler?  What's his relationship status with that female naga?  Does he have any enemies or traitors?  There is so much to know. 3/5

EXPLAIN RATING: He's interesting but has his own vibrant design. Nothing I would do myself, but it has it's appeal. No complaints, so perfect rating.

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Just made this one, looking for advice on her design. She's simple, but I guess that's an appeal.

RATING: 9/10

EXPLAIN RATING: I love the gradient on her body and how it darkens near her face! It really emphasizes her eye. I also love how her socks are striped... It just looks real cool! My only issue with the design is that there's very little contrast with her clothing, so it's hard to tell if it's she's wearing a jacket and shirt or a dress.

EXPLAIN RATING: I love the vibrant colors! And the contrast with the black is very nice.  I generally love seeing character eyes (pupils etc) as they tend to draw me in the most, and probably would've rated higher if I could see them

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: I generally would like to know how difficult my oc is to replicate/redraw so focusing on his design would be great ; always heard he is wayy too hard but only one of my friends say she love his design

EXPLAIN RATING: He is "too much" to me. Too much shinyess, too much shapes, too much gems, too much things and stuff.... I love unique and complex outfits, but this one really is too much. And the head seems a bit off? I feel like the head does not fit with the outfit. Maybe vecause his head and haircuts are too simple compared to the clothes. Or maybe it is the colours. I feel like blond or white hairs would fit better. But well he has no reason to dye his hairs just because of his outfit. The white outfit is a bit better, but still too much sharp shapes to me. But way better! I would prefer him with long white hairs but maybe this would be too obvious. I don't know. Still too complex. And I don't imagine the nightmare it must be to draw him, ahah.

Explanation: That's one good looking guy! His hair is on point and combined with those glasses, he makes for an A+ cutie. Him looking normal plays in his favour, because it's still a design with distinct details and at the same time it's not cluttered and it's along the lines of the canon Pokemon professors while still having its own style. His attire is very fitting for a professor, though one point of criticism I may have on it is the "scientists wear labcoats even outside of a lab" trope, which isn't that bothersome at all but ever since I was made aware of it I've been noticing it around :'D The Pokemon that accompany him go well with his design and in general he's one of my favourite designs in your character gallery.

Additional info: This fella here's my current main character. In the past I used to looooove his design but lately I've felt like something was missing and the colours don't fit together as well as they used to anymore. His most up-to-date design would be the six drawings at the top of his gallery and the chibi next to his colour palette at the top of the profile. Be as harsh as you wish, I appreciate honest feedback.

EXPLAIN RATING: He is well-designed overall, but there is a lack of balance from the colors here.  I suggest finding a way to add a warm color to his lower half like a chain-mail belt made out of gold or brass to fix it.

Explanation: His design isn't really my favorite. Not that his design is bad, I just personally don't like mustaches. I do think that the colors go well together. Brown and green is one of my favorite combinations on a character. 
I also like the fact that he has two outfits rather than one

Additional Info: His bio isn't filled in yet, but he's listed as wingless because his wings were stolen by a demon.

Explanation: There isn't really anything bad to his design at all. The colours go very nicely together, like his white hair with his skin tone, the pink with the brown boots, and is overall a very attractive character, and the look fits with the personality he has. The only thing I feel that could be changed are the boots that look like "camping boots" to me (well, it looks that way to me mostly due to the fluff but I feel it doesn't really suit the rest of the outfit Compared to his other accessories) but honestly I don't think that really needs to be changed

Character's Name: Florence Luff

Additional Info: He/she is a demon that embodies lust and is one of the top ranked demons in his/her world. I don't really know what else to add here...

EXPLAIN RATING: When it comes to the design itself... It just does not fit my tastes. I do not like the colours and I do not like much the shape of the clothes neither. I don't really like the face features neither. It just does not appel me. But this is just personnal tastes, maybe ? But considering this is supposed to be a lust demon, I feel like this design could have been better. First, if s/he embodies lust, thus sexual desires, I feel like s/he should be more...sexy ? S/he should wear something that represents lust and luxure. S/he should have another set of colours and another style of clothings. 
So, yeah, I do not like the design and I feel like it does not fit the theme. Still, it is not ugly, it is not the kind of design were I am like "eeeww!" then it still deserves apass mark.

YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME: Seiji

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Yes, he's just a fox, and he is 100% simple and unoriginal. But I am posting all of my characters then I'll post him too, even while I know his design is not interesting at all. Any tip to improve him is welcome.

Explanation: I can genuinely say that Margo is a gorgeous character. Both the angel and messenger theme are very clear in her design, and she doesn't look like a stereotypical white winged blonde angel in a dress, which to me is a big plus! The browns work together really seamlessly and I love that hairstyle. Her wings are so interesting and at the same time provide a good amount of contrast and balance in the general colour scheme.

Knowing myself, I usually wouldn't like the added green of the plants and the flower crown, but whenever I look at them they just seem stunning and are in perfect balance with the other colours of the design. Not to mention that they're a very clever and pretty way to make the design more unique!

Her clothing looks very modern and stylish without being bland. The combination of that vest with that dress really works well, and her design isn't sexualised despite some stereotypically sexualised items of clothing that are used. All in all, she has an amazing design!

Name: Pride Mom (no actual name yet)

Additional info: NSFW for tiddy in one picture and general nudity in design. I've had this lady for some time now and I love her, but I feel like people don't like her design that much, so I could definitely use any feedback on what I can improve and what is bad. Note that her longest pair of arms doubles as wings, the fingers extend and skin grows between the fingers.

EXPLAIN RATING: I'd say people don't like her because most of them are into pretty bishie characters. Even demons have to be handsome, classy and sexy, you know. She's not "in the trend", I'd say. And I have to admit I was all like "eeeww!!" when I saw her. I don't like her at all. She kind of disgust me. Animal demons can be ugly, they're still cool in some way, but ugly humanoid demons are just...ugly ? Or maybe it's just me ? I don't know. But characters do not have to be pretty, do they? Not everyone, and, mostly, not everything is pretty in real life, and I find handsome characters to be boring, and I'd like to see some more plain-looking or "not ugly not handsome" humans. Then, that's a good point for her? Rather than asking myself "is she pretty or not?" I'll rather go on "how accurate is this design?".
So. Okay. We got some hell demon. Demons are not supposed to be pretty. Then she's good for the role.
Her limbs are a bit weird... The "second" hands are not the same, there is a lack of symetry, but why not ? They have a very demonic shape, kinda like these ghost hands. But I do not like the feet. They kind of... Look like nothing ? I mean, how could she stand with that? She cannot. Also I am not sure about her balance. I feel like she could not stay upright. I do not like the tail neither. Looks a bit basic too me. Spikes and lizard tails are a bit overrated. Also, arms growing from armpits cannot work. Beside this, the head is quite good. Good demon look, good anatomy. Good amount of details. She is unique but not overdone. So... Yeah. I'm a bit unsure about her. I don't like her, mostly because the anatomy does not work well to me, but she seems good for the role, and she is original and unique. Most interesting than the usual bishie. So I'd say... Mid-grade. I don't find her good. But she's far from being bad.
