I thought of Never Cared when I saw him--
He's a bit more cynical, and his views on life are negative, in addition with his younger age and mannerisms. Comparing this to the song, he does not really care about sharing the opinion, but rather experiences everything around him and pays no thought to it.

I thought of P'tit Belliveau - Stand There ! It's a fairly upbeat song but the lyrics (with English translation for the French parts) are pretty somber. The whole "Why do you always stand there, why you always stare?" makes me think of someone who uses some stand-offish defense mechanisms.
He seems like the cynical, straight-man type of character, integral to keeping his friend group in check, so I'm inclined to give him Mouth Of The Devil!
