I'm starting us off

Wraith Stormheart SpiritdragonRyuu

Wraith's eyes, one seeing and one blind scanned the scenery frame the window that he was currently sitting in. Lucky for him the windowsill was easily a 2ft in depth making it an ideal seating area as he watched the night go by. After Gabe got him out of the underground arena, the pair of them decided to seek shelter for the night, Wraith told Gabe to take the bed as the shifter would take watch, not wanting to drop his guard around a stranger or in case his kidnappers came back for a second go. Thanks to his dark clothes, Wraith blended in well in the darkness, seeming to disappear in the dark room, even the crescent moon in the sky barely made any of his features visible.

A sound diverted his attention, the sound of movement. He turned his head to Gabe who had been sleeping up until this point, and saw that the other was twitching and turning in their sleep. Frowning Wraith cocked his head to the side, debating on what he should do, maybe they were just a restless sleeper by default. It was then he saw Gabe's expression show a sign of fear or pain, or potentially both, no this wasn't just someone trying to get comfortable, Wraith knew the feeling well, this was a nightmare. Sighing he got up from the windowsill, giving one last glance to the outside before cautiously approaching. He did a brief check on where the others flame thrower was and was glad it wasn't near by; at least he didn't have to worry about accidentally getting burned by startling Gabe awake.

Extending a hand Wraith grabbed Gabe's shoulder, maybe a bit too roughly, and shook him awake. "Hey.....get up." he grunted. As soon as he was awake, Wraith returned to his perch in the windowsill explaining what had happened.  "You had a nightmare so I woke you up." He said plainly as he resumed his watch. He wasn't good when it came to comforting others, and he doubted that seeing his scarred face after a nightmare was potentially worse than the nightmare itself, so his attention went back to looking out the window.

Follow Up:

Wraith's body tensed in his sleep as he let out a loud and desperate scream as the memories of his childhood plagued him. He fought his invisible foe, tossing and turning his sleep, tears streaming down his face as he did so. He felt someone trying to hug him and the shifter was quick to push them away, his mind making him think it was another enemy from his nightmare. His breathing was strained due to the tightness in his chest from the amount of pain and fear he was currently feeling. He couldn't hear anything Andrea was saying but he did notice when he felt her fur against his face, warm and soft, a complete change to the nightmare that was playing out in his mind, the images of which were slowly fading away. The fur along with the warmth of the hug he was receiving seemed to slowly calm the shifter down as he settled into a more relaxed sleep.

Andrea LuluToro

Andrea was laying down, wrapping herself with her long tail. She heard loud crying, her ears looking like radars, it was coming from a nearby room. The hybrid ran to the room to see a crying Wraith. "Is there something wrong? It's middle of the night, so I think you had a nightmare." Andrea paused to hug the human, only to get pushed away. "It's just a nightmare, it won't come true, your brain is trying to trick you with real or fake." Andrea explained, she knew this because the goat-wolf hybrid had horrible nightmares herself, but managed to face those scary sleep episodes. Wraith was tossing and turning, making loud sobbing noises, and Andrea looked at him with slightly wrinkled eyes. "Shhh, ignore those nightmares and calm down." The hybrid hugged Wraith, her thick fur covering his face, his crying muffed because of the dense fur. "You can stay here and cry on my fur, I will be here until you peacefully fall asleep." Andrea said hugging tightly around the human.

Zinnia salternate

Zinnia fluttered her eyelashes, allowing her lips to smack. Her eyes scanned the book she had in her lap. Other than the occasional glance at the wolf-goat nested in a pile of blankets at the foot of the bed, Zinnia was completely invested in the her book.

That is, until she saw the canine's limbs beginning to twitch. The teenager quietly shut her book and placed it on her nightstand, shifting her focus on a sleeping Andrea. The blonde was visibly enamored by the canine; she intently watched the canine-goat and heaved out an exhale. However, upon hearing the whimpers sounding from the back of the animal's throat, Zinnia realized that she was having a nightmare.

"Ooh, no, Andrea—Andrea, wake up," the blonde whispered, shaking the canine's shoulder as she spoke. As soon as the canine began to stir, Zinnia planted her hands back on her lap and fluttered her eyelashes.

"Ooh, I'm sorry for waking you up, puppy, but...are you okay? Do you want some water? Maybe a snack and—or a hug? Tell me what you need, and I'll get it for you," she whispered, stroking the top of Andrea's head.

"Are you okay? Did you have a bad dream?"

Brown (Human) kafkaesque

"Buttercup? I didn't expect you to be up and about this late. Do you need anything, dear?"

Brown was quick to peer over the edge of her encyclopedia, before quickly closing it and planting it in her lap. Sure, the book concerned fossils, but... Even if fossils were fossils (and holy shit, did Brown absolutely adore fossils), the middle-aged woman quickly shifted her attention to the teenager as she cocked her head and frowned at the blonde with evident concern. The book remained on her lap - because of course it had to be available to be picked up as soon as the girl left - but she thumbed the leather cover while carefully scrutinizing her charge's expression.

"Come here if you want," the aristocrat attempted to coax her over by cooing, "I'm not that busy, really..." It didn't excuse the book still being in her lap, even if she did nudge it off to the side as she leaned forwards slightly and attempted to reach an arm out to the girl's hair. "Or busy at all, actually," she quickly corrected herself with a slight cough, "so you're more than welcome to come over, mm?"

And with that, the aristocrat leaned herself back against the recliner and held her arms out, as if ready to embrace the teenager at any moment now. Though it was outside of Brown's notice at the moment, it was also abundantly clear that the book had since slumped away from her lap and settled in the spot next to her. She, in the meanwhile, fluttered her lashes in an attempt to look as friendly as she could - and for once, this was a genuine act of kindness and not an excuse to tease and set up an innocent façade.

Wow! Who knew having not-children could have that much of an effect on her?

Nonetheless, the older woman eventually raised a brow at the younger party as she started to inquire, "But... By the way, if you don't mind me asking... Did you have a bad dream?" The question, unfortunately, caused Brown's stomach to churn slightly as she lowered her arms slightly and blinked. "... I mean," she mumbled in clarification before adding, "Though I can't predict what sorts of shit was going on in your mind at the time, I can at least... Try to guide you through it... Yes?" She paused and attempted to grin sheepishly, but all it did was just reveal her insecurities through a seemingly beaming smile. Great.

"I can also warm up some milk for you if you want," she suggested as she then leaned over, this time to actually reach for the girl's hair and gently comb her fingers through it. Regardless of whether there were tangles or mats in the teenager's blonde hair, Brown's motions remained rhythmic and fluid while she hummed, "It's a bit of a folk remedy, but I heard that it does wonders for those who are struggling to sleep and cannot take some melatonin..." Brown paused again, though she remained calm (for the most part). "... Or would you rather just talk with me? Or perhaps stay with me for a bit?" She glanced over at her lap, then where the book now lay upon the recliner. "I won't mind, really," Brown reassured the girl with a nod, "Just... Please... Don't fret like that, buttercup... All right?"

@ NP: characterization notes are under a spoiler due to length + (non-graphic) mentions/discussions of childbirth!!

Brown isn't normally the type to have dreams, let alone nightmares. if she does, she barely remembers them..... most of the time. as a result, expect her to only be able to remember fragmented, vague versions of what she had dreamt, especially if the events in question are relatively mundane.

now the nightmare stuff. most of her nightmares tend to pivot around flashbacks to her time being married to Skinner, especially the days surrounding her daughter's birth. (both the actual experience and subsequent puerperal fever are valid subjects to be going for if using this route.) she's pretty much always alone (whether it be due to timing, or withdrawal) when they actually occur, but if someone manages to interact with her DURING an episode...... she has a very sensitive startle reflex and will thus be quick to wake up and lash out regardless of how close she is to your character. she might also withdraw further or just start bursting into tears depending on the character she interacts with - but either way, don't expect her to reveal much even if she trusts your character.

if your character is interacting with her AFTER an episode, she'll probably act quite emotionally exhausted and withdrawn. don't be surprised if she starts lashing out or acting defensive if the questioning continues. this applies regardless of how close your character is with her, but she miiiiiiight hint at something if she trusts your character.

maybe I'll also do a follow-up for NP if I have the time??

Maribelle Burnett Vapor

Maribelle... was incapable of feeling any empathy for Brown, unfortunately.

She stared down at the older woman, expression blank. Whatever thought there was at the back of her mind was all too familiar -- nightmares were something she had experienced, but of course, everyone did. To think that other people could have them, however, was sickening to her, sickening in the same way one would feel looking down at someone more pitiful than themselves approaching. She wondered if people felt this way about her, but didn't ruminate on the thought, before bluntly spitting out,

"You're pathetic."

With that, Maribelle moved on, pushing her way towards where a small book laid on a counter. "I only came back to this cottage so I could get my shit," she said, "But not deal with your shit, obviously. I don't know why anyone would ever care for your kind of damage, anyway -- it's the hag's fault for getting too emotional, you know. Hysterical. You always are. I'm sure that's exhausting to you, too, just as it is everyone else." Aren't you tired of going ape shit? Don't you just want to go ape shit? "They say being exhausted only causes more nightmares. I'm sure people have nightmares all the time because of you."

She tucked her book under her armpit, and then stood on her tiptoes to grab something else from the cabinet -- a box of tea bags. With a scoff, she glanced back at Brown.

"Because of that, you deserve to have nightmares." she added, "Probably worse nightmares than you've had. I'm sure the one you had was just fucking heavenly for you, since the only thing you like is--" She waved the box around and crowed, "Blood, guts, gore! Gods."

She rolled her eyes as she placed the box under her arm with her book. "Hopefully we won't have to do any more of your stupid fossil hunts. I'd hate to waste my time with you anymore than I already have." As she took a step back, she hissed out, concluding, "I hope your next nightmare lasts even longer. It's only fair for everyone else. Maybe, while you're asleep, everyone'll be at peace."

its time to bully roswell now .

The first thing Maribelle did when she was finally thrown out of her nightmare was jolt -- and slam the top of her head against the bedframe.

Sucking in a breath, she whimpered a small, quiet "fuck" as she curled in on herself, alas not laying back down. She hadn't heard Roswell at first, busy with the pain radiating through her head, but she startled again when she did and saw him out of the corner of her bleary eyes. She shrank back, and though she let him grab her hand, she kept her eyes on his hand. She winced as he pressed down on her bruised knuckles, wrapped in gauze. She stiffened when he mentioned dogs. Dogs? ..Right, there were dogs.

Maribelle glanced over at the tinderbox as he pulled his hand away, rubbing at her injured thumb anxiously. She supposed it made sense they couldn't smoke, but... "I don't want to really talk about it." she said, putting her hand in her lap, "They've been getting worse lately. Wine helps, though." It was bad enough to encourage underage smoking, but underage drinking... "Maybe-- Maybe tea, I don't know. Is it going to rain soon?"

She went quiet, laying back down in the bed. Her nerves were still out of wack, of course. She occasionally fidgeted under the covers, pulling them tighter around herself. She might have preferred the quiet if it was raining, but... y'know.

In response to his offer, she scoffed, and then said coldly, softly, "No, I-- I didn't bring any of my own books, did I? I-- No..."

Maribelle huddled further in the blankets, shivering as the man carried on, picking up where he left off in the novel. She was really wishing she had brought a book along with her. If not a book, then wine. Would they have even been able to sneak wine into the hospital ward? She was sure she was just cold at first, as she buried herself deeper in the bedding, but...

"Roswell," she hissed, cutting him off, "Stop it."

Jesus. Okay.

Roswell van Breek fizzelston

“Wow ey, easy now Angelcakes,” Roswell said. He sat on the small chair beside her bed and had dozed off himself until Maribelle’s thrashing around had woken him. The leidsman rubbed his eye. Then placed down his romance-novel he was reading. Hours ago. They weren’t in Roswell’s apartment. They weren’t back in the base. No, the dormitory reeked of ether, talcum powder, and disinfection. They were in a ward.
“Yer ‘ad a noightmare,” Roswell said. Between a yawn and a stretch. He cursed when he moved his back. “ ‘ow is yer hand? Dat dog got yer pretty bad,” he muttered. The old crook didn’t wait for her reply and silently picked up her hand in his own. Testing her fingers as he pricked, with his free hand, a cigarette between his teeth.
“De dogs are gone,” he told her. As he pressed his finger on her knuckles. “If dat’s what yer’ve been dreamin’ about.”
He let go of her hand. Reached for his tinderbox. A nurse glared at him, so he snorted and defensively raised both hands.
“Dey keep yer ‘ere to monitor yer recovery,” he told her. Biting the edge of his cigarette. “Yer canny recover if yer keeps splashin’ around loike dat. And Oi canny smoke when yer ‘ere. So yer better go back to sleep,” Roswell said. He slumped in his chair. He plucked the cigarette from between his teeth. Then studied his bitemarks. Placed it back.

“Or… Yer tell me whaat yer dreamed off?” He said. Roswell raised his eyebrow.
“Dat always ‘elp me.” Then shrugged. The silence between them got an uncomfortable edge. Roswell spat. Right on the floor.
“Or, oi can read yer sum of me book if dat helps you calm yer down?” Roswell leaned forward and started to laugh at Maribelle’s reaction to his proposition.
“Aye.” He smiled. Roswell picked up his book ‘forbidden love underneath the silver moonlight' back up. Then cleared his throat.
“Roi, where was oi,” he said. Allowing his fingers to flip through the pages and then cranked up the small oil-lamp on the nightstand. He leaned forward the lamp. Allowing the gaslight to light up his stinky-romance book.
“Oh, yes. Yer see, Anne is a shepherd girl, Pablo a lumberjack. Dey are meetin’ in secret, roi? Too smooch,” he said. Roswell pushed his chair closer.
“ Ooh Pablo,” he spoke in a high-pitched voice. “Oi canny believe yer came. Me beloved. Me strong Pablo-”

--

Snarking is Roswell's only way of communication

Sweat had drenched his shirt. The salt in it was crystallizing, leaving white stripes all over his top.Roswell reached for his face. His shaking fingers rested on his jaw.
He'd been there, Roswell breathed out. He had been there.
His head piqued up from Peaches in his door frame and he kept quiet. Blood had drained from his face and his sole eye was hallow. His eyepatch rested on his nightstand, and while his 'other eye' was nothing spectacular, the one-eyed thief scrambled for the patch. Placing it on his face. Then tying it.
"I-Oi 'as a noightmare," he confessed. While his shaking fingers slipped over the eyepatch-laches. "A dream! Oi..oi saw me brother-" he paused. Finally secruing the eye patch. "Me brother."
Roswell set up straight in his bed and cranked up his oil-lamp. He picked it bin it's handle, swinging it around like a lantern. But Marshall was nowhere to be seen. Not even in the darkest corners of his room. Roswell breathed.
"He was der," he said. Giving the lamp another swing. "Like oi've seen him de last time. Young! Sick," he said. "B-but it was a..dream," the crook realized. "A dream." Roswell set down the lamp. Then rubbed his face. "Warm milk? Oi… oi got some milk in me icebox," he muttered. Hollowly. Roswell looked up from the hug and couldn't help but smile. He carefully petted Peaches had.
"Well oi 'ope yer mum is a big taller dan yer. Cause yer hardly can wrap yisser arms around me."

Peaches yanderechips

Rushed panic breathing came from the other room. It was the middle of the night, and Peaches had woken up in a flash. She heard Roswell's panicked breaths coming from her next door. Worried, she rushed over to his room. When she got there, she stood at the front door, as if she was the one who had the nightmare. She just didn't want to see her ""uncle"" in pain. "What happened?" She questioned, on the brink of tears. The dream was quite terrible, yet the little girl didn't fully understand it.

Roswell had explained that he had seen his twin brother in his dream, but he had vanished. Or- that's what Peaches could get out of it anyway. "Oh- that sounds bad. You know what my mom always tells me when I have a bad dream? Drink warn milk. And then she gives me a big hug, like this!" Peaches proceeded to wrap her arms around Roswell.

Peaches nightmares are solely more like little kid dreams, she'll dream about monsters coming to eat her and losing her parents, but that's about it. Have fun!

Ennette PicklePantry

Hearing a cry and a scream in the near room, Ennette quickly burst in. Wide eyes scanned the room, and when she was sure there was no threat, she looked over at Peaches, her expression immediately softening. "What happened? Are you okay?" she asked breathlessly. She wandered towards the bed and sat at its edge while listening to her, frowning more and more with each detail. "Oh no, I'm so sorry. That must have been so scary. Here, let me check for any monsters."
The princess looked under the bed, in the closet, and behind the door. "Nothing," she announced before smiling at Peaches. "Maybe they saw how strong you were and ran away!" An idea made her perk. "Oh! Why don't I get my lyre and I play you a bedtime song to help you get back to sleep? I'll be gone only a second!" The door was left open a crack so some light could shine through.
True to her word, Ennette shortly returned with instrument in hand. She sat at the bed's edge once more, and with quiet, gentle plucks of the strings, she lightly sang a song about a little girl that was brave and strong enough to fight of all monsters.

Ennette typically gets more embarrassing kind of nightmares than anything. The whole going to school without pants on kind, or imagining embarrassing herself in front of someone she likes, that kind of thing.

(I forgot to mention KEKEKE That's a great song sobs and I love his voice)

What a horrifying situation the princess had found herself in. She had attempted to make some delicious cupcakes for herself, but the minute she took a bite she'd realized she'd eaten not a cupcake, but a crab cake! How disgusting! What's worse, when she went to rectify her mistake, the entire castle staff started laughing at her! She looked at where they all pointed and gasped. Her dress was on backwards! Oh, how mortifying...!
The dream got worse and worse until a soothing voice shook her from her sleep. Ennette opened her eyes and blinked once, then twice. It was just a dream... She sighed softly and slowly sat up as Eclipse walked in and sat besides her. "I'm sorry, was I loud?" she asked when he wrapped an arm around her, nodding when he asked about her dream. He offered to listen, but the idea of having to explain that only made her face redder, and to hide it she buried her face in his shoulder.
After a silent moment, she ceded and explained the dreadful thought. To her relief, Eclipse seemed understanding about it and didn't mock her. He suggested her going back to sleep. It was an attractive idea, and Ennette yawned and rubbed her weary eyes to agree, but shook her head. "I'm afraid I'll get that nightmare again, o-or one similar," she said sheepishly. To her surprise, Eclipse rectified the situation by... laying down with her?! And singing?!
Ennette stared up at the tiefling, bug-eyed for a good minute, still not believing what was happening. Oh, her face was so hot and red she thought she might have a terrible fever! His voice, though, was soothing. Very... soothing...
With another yawn, the princess closed her eyes and drifted to sleep in his arms.

Eclipse Constallis SpiritdragonRyuu

(Was I listening to a song from Phantom of the Opera whilst writing this?.......yes.....yes I was xD )

Eclipse could hear the faint sound of whimpering in the room next room to him and immediately got up and knocked on the door to the guest room. "Ennette....you okay dear?" He said, only getting the sound of muffled crying in response. "I'm coming in." He said opening the door and peering in. He waved his hand slightly making the room light up slightly so he could see what was going on, he soon saw that Ennette was upset, thought trying to cover it up, but it seemed she was also embarrassed as well. Concerned he sat down on the large bed. "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" He said wrapping an arm around her and pulling her into a hug. "Did you have a nightmare?" He asked, getting a nod in response.

The onyx skinned Tiefling kissed the crown of her head. "It's okay, it can't hurt you anymore.....would you like to talk about it? It might help you feel better." He said tilting his head but continued hugging her. He watched Ennette shake her head in response saying it would take to long to explain. "Well, I think most dreams take a while to explain and I'm all ears for as long as you need me to be, but I will not force you to tell me if you do not wish to." He said rubbing her back. After a few minutes or so Ennette began to explain what had happened, the Tiefling kept quite and listened to the whole story, nodding a few times in understanding. Once Ennette was finished explaining, Eclipse gave a smile. "I can understand why that upset you so much, it's not a nice thing to experience whilst your trying to get some rest huh?" He smiled softly as he watched his friend rub her eyes tiredly.

"Let's get you back to sleep, we still have several hours before the sun comes back up. What do you say?" He asked, his golden eyes shimmering slightly. "Hmm? You're worried you're going to have another nightmare? Well....I may have a way to help with that, but first let's get you comfortable so you can fall asleep easier." He said fluffing some of the pillows before leaning back against them with her in a one armed hug. With his other hand he waved in a brisk motion causing the lights to turn off. Not long after a sound began to fill the room, a ethereal and enchanting voice that was singing (so hard to find a voice that fits, close enough xD ), it was Eclipse. As he continued to sing softly his tattoos gave off a shimmering glow, nothing too bright but it looked like soft waves of gold running down his torso in a calming fashion. As he continued his enchanting, almost hypnotising song, he could feel Ennette relaxing in the arm he had kept wrapped around her.

Eclipse loves meeting new people ^.=.^

Follow Up:

Eclipse had been plagued for a while by nightmares of the creature he fought a few weeks ago. He was part way through his nightmare when he felt someone shake him awake. His yellow eyes snapped open and the Tiefling sat up straight, chest heaving slightly as he tried to gain his bearings. His eyes eventually focused on Noboru and greatful accepted the water skin, taking a quick drink of it.. "Thanks, I didn't mean to dose off in the back, let alone have a nightmare." Eclipse said sighing, his ears twitched when he heard Noboru asked what he dreamed about.

"I had a run in with a Bone Devil a few weeks ago, I got asked to assist some guards to get rid of the creature....we killed it but.....there wasn't many of us who survived. Horrible looking creature, pale skin, bony protrusions, insect wings, sharp claws and a large stinger on the end of it's tail, very large in size." Eclipse suppressed a shudder, the sight of this creature alone was frightening but seeing what it could do to someone was something else.

The onyx skinned Tiefling gave a half laugh as he handed Noboru his water skin back. "I understand that, adventure can be a great thing, but you can also have some unpleasant and dangerous experiences as well." He then stood up from the bed. "Well if you have questions about the beast, I will give whatever information I know, but first let's get those herbs you wanted yes? I'll sell them at a discount, as a thank you for waking me up." Eclipse said with a charming grin, his tail swishing happily as he did so.

Noboru (D&D) fizzelston

Noboru looked around the small herbalist shop. The familiar scent of spices tickled his nose. He peeked at the list in his hand. A grocery list. Punctual. Written and ordered in alphabetical order. Just to make shopping easier. Speaking of which...
Noboru's ears pricked. Someone behind the counter would make it possible to shop.
"Hello? Is someone there?" He asked. No reply. The only sound audible was his sandals clicking on the floor. Or at least as far as he could hear. (He got a listen skill of -1.)
The bard folded his list and slowly made his way to the backroom of the shop. Surely there must be someone there. Right?
Noboru grimaced. He'd found the shop owner, laying on (what Noboru presumed to be) his own bed. The tief's onyx skin glimmered with sweat and the water genasi could see the other's fingers move in an almost spastic manner.
A nightmare?
"Hey. Uh, mister? Is everything alright?" He knelt beside the man and carefully reached for his shoulder. Giving it a soft shake. "I want to buy some herbs," he said. As he still shook the other's shoulder.
Noboru's ears pricked when the other opened his eyes and directly straightened his back. He smiled. As innocently as possibly could. "I got a whole list of them." He said. Waving his folded list around. Noboru then set down his adventurespack, and helped the tiefling to sit up straight.
He offered his waterskin. With a smile. "What did you dream about?"

Noboru grimaced at the reply. He ran a hand through his hair.
"And you defeated that critter?" He asked. Starry-eyed. "I had my fair share of monsters," he said. As he failed to suppress a shiver. "But none like those that you described just yet."
Noboru sat down on the shop owner's bed. Though at it's foot end.
"I fought rats, fish critters," he summed up on his fingers. "The basic."
The bard laughed as he retrieved his waterskin. "Maybe you can tell me about that beast you slain! I-if you like of course," he said. As he rubbed his own knees.
"I mean, I love adventure...stories. As long as I don't have to be a part of it."

I forgot I posted here but that's so cute thank you ;__;

 Tudor VictoryDrawsStuff

Tudor would hear the sounds of agony as he was wandering about a building he decided to explore. He quickly rushed over to see a man named Noboru in agony as if a nightmare was haunting him around the side of the building, shielded by the nearby greenery. The Flagbearer quickly rushed over to him, shaking him awake.

Noboru would wake up after a few minutes of shaking. Despite being unable to use more complicated English, the young man comforted the older by giving him head pats and trying to say comforting words. Tudor knew he could not do much, but he stayed with Noboru until the man recovered from the shocks of a horrifying nightmare.

"You are doing good...Doing good! 落ち着いて…落ち着いて…(Calm down... Calm down...)" Tudor whispered to Noboru gently, continuing to pat his shoulder.

Tudor's innocence was enough to cease the existence of nightmarish negativity.

.

Note for @NP: Oh boy would Tudor's nightmares be dramatic and very graphic to him. Doesn't help that he suffers from severe separation anxiety and autism. Would take a lot to comfort and calm the boy down as he can barely express his needs in English once under stress, most likely to scream in Japanese.... So keep that in mind! Might do follow-ups! *read his profile for more info and what nightmares he could be having!

Kenshin Yamada PicklePantry

Ken stared down at his phone, flipping between songs, unsatisfied with what was playing.
Unsatisfied that he could still hear the whimpering.
He grit his teeth and shot a glare to the side at the young man twisting and turning in his sleep. He'd been like that for a good while now, whimpering something that the music managed to muffle. The look on his face was pained and frightened, he was clearly having a nightmare.
But it wasn't Ken's place to wake him. That's what he thought, at least. He expected a friend or family member to retrieve Tudor, but it never happened, and the nightmare only seemed to get worse. With the vein at the side of his head pulsing, he gave up listening to his music and took out his earbuds. Able to fully hear, he could make out some of the guy's whining. Something about looking for someone and not being alone? Mixed in with what seemed to be flinches and apologies, like he was being attacked. All in Japanese, too. Was this really a normal kind of nightmare? It sounded too real...
The vein at the side of his head got even bigger until finally Ken had had enough. "Shut up, already!" he barked in Japanese. Watching Tudor's reaction, Ken clicked his tongue in irritation and held his phone out to him. "Here," he grunted before tossing him a look. "Stop looking at me funny and just take it, but don't keep it. Just listen to some music to help calm yourself down and get a better dream. Music helps when I have nightmares. Sometimes." He quickly bristled, "And don't think I'm doing this to help you, weirdo! I... Your whining was annoying, that's all!"

Ken can get nightmares about his first love rejecting him, or he can get pretty simple nightmares like performing a concert without his voice or other embarrassing things.

Virgo LuluToro

The young buck was reading his book, Virgo appeared lost in the words of the mystery novel he was reading. Then he heard cries nearby his room, which was getting louder as seconds passed by. Virgo went to the other's room to see Ken crying, who was rocking back and forth, because Ken woke up from a nightmare. "What's wrong my guy? Did you had a nightmare?" The deer examined Ken, he was asking him of what type of nightmare Ken woke up. Only to be told that Ken had a nightmare about losing his voice, Virgo giggled a little bit, but shuffled to a serious manner. "It's just a dream, it's not going to be true, silly." The deer comforted Ken, giving him a pat on the back. "There are dreams that might become true, but yours won't, trust me." Virgo continued to chat with him, the deer had several vision dreams, which are mostly typical stuff. "Hey, I'll get you glass of milk, if you want." Virgo offered, getting up from the bed he was laying in, in his pajamas.

FOR NP: Virgo can be stressed out after a scary nightmare, he'll toss and turn a lot. You can comfort him with anything, SFW please. Also it could be any dream! <3

Lorento Achterburg VictoryDrawsStuff

Lorento was assigned to look after the buck named Virgo as a undercover mission. He never really liked his job with the Revolutionaries, the gang reminding him of the mafias in the U.S and his memories of war in Europe of WW2 in his past life.

And he never expected in this mission that he was supposed to give comfort to the buck once he can realize that he was having a nightmare. A bad one. The man with his rather poor understanding of English (despite being able to speak it well) could not make out what the buck was muttering as he thrashed and moved about in his sleep, but he was reminded of his fellow soldiers, German or American, suffering from nightmares as well.

Lorento sighed, muttering some things in German, before waking the buck up with a good shake. He gave a gentle look at Virgo, his parental instincts coming in, having memories of his adopted daughter also suffering from nightmares.

”Hey. Virgo? It’s me, Lorento. Hey...I don’t know what to do...But I can see that you are having a bad dream...Hey, I am here. I am here with you. So if you need anything just let me know...I won’t be leaving a comrade behind suffering.” He told the buck gently, patting him on the head.

He swore that he will not leave any friend behind in pain. He will not.

He will never.

Note for @NP: (Spoilers for mentions of d**th , s**cide and implied gore perhaps) You can read his TIH profile for more info, as his nightmares are connected to his TIH/Past life story!

Lorentos nightmares can range from his experience in WW2 as a German soldier, especially the death of his brother Billy on D-Day, who was killed by enemy machine gun fire protecting Lorento, which traumatized him. Or it can be the moment he committed suicide after the war and he sees the point of view of his husband and adopted daughter grieving the moment they found him dead. Either way it would feel really real to him due to Lorento suffering from PTSD, and he might just throw his English skills out the window and be suffering in German. Soooo just do what you want, be gentle with him tho, poor man has been through so much :(! Might try to do follow ups!
