You and the OC above fought.. now what? [IC]

The aftermath of a conflict can be just as interesting as the conflict it self..
You and the OC above fought.. now what?
(Tried to make the thread look pretty.. sorry mobile users this probably looks all jumbled up to you!)

During my time in these forums I've seen quite afew threads that basically went along the lines of "you and someone else's OC fight"-- and honestly I'm a pretty big fan of those kind of threads! ..but it also got me thinking, are there any threads that talk about the aftermath of those fights?

--well, that's basically the point of this thread! Instead of writing out a fight (or the start of a fight)- you write about what happened afterwards. Do the characters make-up, are they just too tied to keep fighting, does the conflict even get resolved?.. or does it escalate?

...
There's honestly a whole lot of possibilities with this concept (at least I'm pretty sure there is)!- but before we get into the swing of things there's afew rules I want to go over

RULES:

1) No NSFW!-- though that one was probably a pretty obvious rule. (also- keep suggestive themes to a minimum!)

2) I don't expect you to write a huge response or anything, in fact short replies are fine in some cases-- but make sure to put some effort into your reply, as long as it adds something of value / noteworthy to the thread then it's fine (Which, honestly, usually means no one liners)

3) Due to the nature of.. well, fighting- some gore is okay as long as it's not too gore-y! Anything that goes beyond simple cut and bruises should be censored-- like this!

4) This is an In-Character thread (IC). so, of course, post in character!

5) And that's about it in terms of hard-rules! Though there are some things that I encourage or suggest but you don't have to do. Like- if you don't want to risk getting ninja'd then make sure to claim beforehand (keep in mind that claims that aren't filled out / edited within 5 hours can be skipped though)! --- follow-ups are pretty much always appreciated and leaving some little facts / a prompt for the next poster to write / go off of is as well!

And of course, first poster gets a freebie from me!
(If this concept is alittle too confusing let me know and I'll explain more in the comments)

Zir AgentRoboto

Time to get this thread rolling!-- hope this is good enough of a starter ^-^ Whyme123

"Me, tired?- as if!" he barked out. He, in fact, wasn't 'tired'!-

...he was exhausted. Big difference. definitely.
How he of all things could get exhausted in the first place was beyond Zir-- he's an android for goodness sake, he should have practically limitless stamina! -but here he was, staring down a young (and equally as frazzled looking) girl, way lower on battery than he'd like to be, and feeling the most frustration he's felt in a very long time.

This was just plain unfair! How was he supposed to know that she'd be standing right there when he jumped out of that bush?- she wasn't there when he first arrived after all!-- how was he supposed to know that she'd pull a knife on him in response?- what was he supposed to say when said knife was lodged into his neck and.. didn't really do anything.?  ....To say the least- this really wasn't his day.

He's sure this wasn't quite her day either. --but who cares about her, what else did she expect would happen?! To think that this could lead to anything but a petty yet very painful overly drawn out fight would've been a completely idiotic thought (he'd never let himself go down without a fight after all)! Zir couldn't help but mumble foreign profanities under his 'breath' as he waited for his impromptu opponent's next move.-- that is, if she wasn't exhausted enough to continue fighting.

hHgh-- hahah I love that!- Poor Zir definitely doesn't though! (I don't know if you can ping someone in an edit but here goes nothing CaptainCuttlefish

When he said that this wasn't his day, he wasn't kidding. Well, technically it wasn't the same day anymore.. but his point still stands!

Zir glared up at the guidebot from his spot on the ground, choking down the bitter taste of... embarrassment!- complete and utter humiliation!
Zir's inner-mechanics were far far superior and cooler! than whatever VD0 had in his rusty joints. The fact that he.. somehow lost completely baffled Zir-- this had to be some sort of fluke, there was nothing else it could possibly be! Zir was - to his knowledge - the latest and greatest creation from his home planet-- to think he could be bested by some random Earth bot was absurd!- there had to be a better explanation for this loss....

Well, actually, now that he's thinking about it.. He is still standing so Zir ignored the way his body was practically screaming at him for repairs- it doesn't.. technically count as a win for VD0...... does it? ...maybe he could just leave this whole altercation out of his next mission report-

But before that train of thought could continue on any longer-- Zir suddenly reels back from the surprise face full of dirt. Swiftly standing up and trying to brush off as much of it off as humanly robot-ly.? possible.---- Attempting to wipe all remnants of those.. previous emotions from his face, he tries to glares back at VD0.

Apparently, VD0 was alot better at reading people's faces than Zir thought. in actuality, it was obvious to anyone how Zir was feeling,

Zir instinctually goes to slap the guidebot's hand off him- but.. pauses for a brief moment-- and with a huff, gently pushes VD0's hand off his shoulder "I am no loser." Abruptly straightening himself up, Zir continues "I.. don't exactly accept your apology--" The very vivid memory of getting dirt kicked in his face was still all too recent "--...but the sentiment is appreciated"

And with that, the conversation was basically over. Neither party wanting to correction; knowing how to continue the interaction any further.

....
VD0 truly had gotten lucky. After his last.. altercation, he just didn't have enough time to fully repair himself is all..!
--were they to cross paths again, well, things will go much differently.

 VD0 FunnyboneFubbler
VD0 staggered up, his rusty joints creaking as he loomed over his opponent. Zir glared at the guidebot, stroking back his synthetic green hair. "HA!" VD0 exclaimed, "Never thought you'd be beaten by an earth bot, didja?!"
The rusty robot kicked dust into Zir's face, and stroked his headband proudly. Wait till the guys hear about this one, VD0 thought to himself, walking away from his opponent with an air of confidence in his stride. When he looked back to glance at Zir's face for one more dose of ego-fuel, VD0 felt a very unexpected feeling of sympathy for the alien android. As Zir stood back up, VD0 analysed the look of disappointment and fear on his face. The same feelings he felt back in the Wired Society. He wanted to apologise, but he was worried that would take away from his macho energy. Oh, screw it, VD0 thought, walking back to Zir.
"Hey, uh," muttered VD0, putting his one hand on Zir's shoulder. "I didn't mean what I said, 'cus I know what it's like to feel like a loser." The two awkwardly stared at each other and walked off.
Kaine Arkanus PicklePantry

How the two started their fight was a mystery, how it ended was an even bigger mystery. Ark didn't look particularly scathed, though it was always hard to tell with him. He could be missing an arm and still wouldn't show any troubles on his face.
"Robots trying to control humanity," he mused. "With one such robot being a faulty one, at that. If I recall, Guidebots had an error that caused them to go against their programming." His expression suddenly turned sympathetic. "Against your will you couldn't do your orders, and yet you were treated so badly. It's unfair treatment. I understand your hatred towards humanity. I myself have issues I'd like to take up with them, regardless of being one myself. So, if you're willing to listen to a human for once, why not set aside this unnecessary fight and allow me to assist this goal of yours?"
Something shined in those golden eyes.

Typically, Ark tends to end fights to either try to get someone on his side, or to try and manipulate memories.

Jesse stood shaking infront of darco... she didn't mean to start any fights with the tailor but now it was over... she didn't really even fight, more of she just took the punches and raised her voice... she can't even remember what they were fighting about all she knows is she's in pain and scared and wants to find her best friend and hide. " i-i im sorry... w-what happened i... I can't remember " she was heavily breathing she stared at Darco for a few seconds then gained feeling in her legs and ran. Ran has fast and hard has she could. Ran far away from there. Ran far away from darco.

 Lucasia Ragnvindr VictoryDrawsStuff

It was a rather easy fight, but a complicated fight to actually have a reconciliation with.

It was a small battle between the two just because Jesse has forgotten who Lucasia was. Despite the woman being so famous around the city of Mondtstadt, it seems that Jesse could not remember who she was, and thought of her as her enemy. Now Lucasia was trying to reconcile and apologize to Jesse, but the ladies forgetful nature is making it complicated. The two went back and forth with attempts to apologize and rejections of apologies. At this point, Lucasia was actually close to giving up, but she tried a last stand deal.

"Look, so it seems you don't remember me. But i'm so sorry for fighting with you. I'll bring you to a medic so we can get our wounds treated, how about that? Deal?" the Twilight Heroine attempted to make a deal with the lady.

Though she could only pray to gods above that the two can once and for all, reach a compromise after a battle.

BAUHAUS Wrenkenstein

Panting, Bauhaus skidded to a halt, leaving markings where her claws dug into the soil. A low rumble escaped her lips as she flared her blossom like crest once again; this wasn't even a fun fight, just a tiresome one. She didn't even want to fight to begin with, but before she could ever get an action in to prove that she wasn't some bloodthirsty monster hunting this strange lady, said strange lady would swing around her equally strange sword and proceed to attempt to chop her down. Thankfully, she only had been scraped maybe once or twice, able to quickly jump or contort out of the way, but the same could not be said for the stranger that now stood opposite of her in the clearing, who bore various bloody marks from when Bauhaus had tried (and failed) to pick her up and pin her so that the fighting would cease. It definitely didn't make her case any better.

Now, however, she saw an opportunity. The space between them was tight and tense, and as the stranger readied her weapon once more, Bauhaus began to carve something into the now disturbed soil. The action alone seemed to make the girl halt, and Bau could only hope she looked on as she spelled out the most chicken-scratchy looking STOP into the dirt. She then backed away, and as soon as she saw the girl hesitantly take a step forward to look at her message, a wave of relief flooded her chest.

The fighting had finally, finally stopped, and Bau internally cheered when she saw the sword be put back into its holster. She took a tentative step forward, going slow to ensure she didn't come off as threatening, before trying her best to smile. Which, admittedly, was not the most friendly looking thing. But as the tension in the air ceased and a look of confusion washed over the girls face rather than concern, Bau bent down and began to etch more words into the ground: SORRY ABOUT THE SCRATCHES. DIDNT WANT TO ACTUALLY HIT YOU BUT YOU KEPT SWINGING AT ME :(

Illanya Mariold HardyLark

Illanya had heard about a creature in the forest, and so too had her superiors. The battle was something that Illanya had to do, especially on a direct order such as this.

She’d been the first to swing, wielding both her battle axe and magic in her attack against this creature. To her surprise and perhaps horror, Bauhaus was far more nimble and clever than the Paladin had expected. The battle was long and arduous, both combatants receiving a few injuries and reaching a point where both were panting heavily.

Finally, it ends when Bauhaus pins the Paladin down, pressing the hand holding Valerian off to the side and staring right down at the Paladin. Illanya had been properly terrified and was only stunned when Bauhaus lets her go and begins to write on the ground. Though still initially weary, Illanya begins to read what Bau had to say.

After a few exchanges like this, the tension seems to ease enough between the two that Illanya actually relaxes and puts the magical battle axe away

“Ah, I’m sorry about… ambushing you like that. It wasn’t terribly fair of me, and it seems we both got pretty roughed up because of it.” The knight cringes, and she scratches the back of her head nervously. After a beat, she furrows her brow and looks at Bau curiously.

Carefully she reaches out and sets her hand against Bauhaus’ side, and the wounds that Illanya had caused fade and disappear. Despite looking significantly wiped out by doing this, the woman gives Bau a tired smile and nods.

“There, fixed my mistake. Though maybe avoid being seen again? Not all the other knights are as careful as I am, and you seem nice enough. I’d hate to see you… or them get hurt.”

(Oh you did fantastic! Here's a follow up like a day late ^^)

Being stationed to one Arlin's navy keeps wasn't what Illanya had been expecting. After all, she was more skilled in leading ground troops and dealing with more direct threats to the crown. Defending the keep was important though, so she treated it with as much importance as everything else she'd ever been asked to do.

She is surprised when the first threat to the keep comes in the form of a young man, who she had assumed at first was simply lost. The magic-infused kick he had sent her way said otherwise. Upon impact, she felt his magic brush up against her own, immediately setting off so many alarms. Without wasting another a moment she springs forward, her axe glowing with divine energy

The battle ends quickly, the trees in this particular area toppling as the pirate and knight exchange blows. The battle ends with flowering plants growing around the Paladin's feet, her breathing coming out in puffs. She feels a little guilty for treating the young man as any other bandit or thief she might've encountered, but years of fighting had taught her bet than to underestimate a young opponent. Turning to walk away, she doesn't really intend to take the young man captive, but pauses when she hears something about informing someone else about the Dragon knights.

Illanya immediately turns and walks back to Kamil's side, and reaches down to the unconscious young man, and with thrumming magic stabilizes the worst of his injuries, but doesn't return him to consciousness. After a moment she pulls out a parchment and using one of the fallen trees and an inkpen from her bag, writes a quick note in her tidy handwriting. It reads:
"I believe this young man is one of yours. Consider this your warning."  With a spare dagger she pins the parchment, and some of Kamil's shirt to the fallen tree. Once finished she leaves quickly, to warn the other knights of a potential attack.

The young pirate had been given orders from his Captain to scout out a castle to find its weaknesses and plan a raid. Doing this under the cover of night would have been ideal but he didn’t want to refuse the wishes of his brother. Kamil was focused, analysing and looking at every detail, formulating strategies in his mind, until he was quickly snapped out of his train of thoughts. A knight asked what a small child was doing around the castle, she seemed a bit worried and asked if he was lost. Kamil was taken by surprise and on impulse he struck back with a powerful kick, the knight guarded herself with her axe, and upon impact they both realised they were magic users.

The fight ended quite quickly, though it was explosive and chaotic. Kamil thought the knight would underestimate him, but as he laid on the ground injured, he realised it was he who had underestimated their opponent. The knight aimed her axe at Kamil, seeing if he was still a threat. He looked around at the fallen trees and the petals that floated around them, disturbed by the presence of their fight. He looked back at the knight and smiled weakly, perhaps this end wasn’t so bad, it was quite peaceful actually. To his surprise though the knight spared his life and in his blurred vision he watched her walk away in the sunset.

“If the knights here are this strong… i must... inform big brother...” and with those last thoughts he fell into unconsciousness.

(this is my first post with long-ish writing hopefully it's okay)

"Listen, Amicius. I really don't like fighting when I don't half to "  he wiped away a stream of blood from his own mouth. " and I would say your pretty damn lucky your wearing that armor or else my sentry would have done more than knock ya over... " at this point his back is turned to amicius  " but don't worry. I don't have any ill feelings tword you. But im gonna ask that you get off this property, I dunno what you're doing on mann. Co property. But I recommend gettin lost before one of my less sparing team mates finds ya "

Vengram Audlien

Vengram transformed back into his original self after being knocked back several times by this human, who stared in shock as the boar who had just attacked him soon formed into a short little green man.

Vengram quickly clutched onto the lily pad on his head, waiting for the human to do something back to him, another punch? Another hit by his wrench? "Now you listen here - " the goblin snarled "I am the only one in this swamp that lives in a shabby little hut I made with my own bare hands, not you, got it?" He waited for Jamie to lunge at him again, wanting to cast a spell to push him off even more, but instead, Jamie started laughing. "What? What??? Never seen a druid before? We got all kinds of tricks under our sleeves, you clearly don't know a thing of what I could do! I'll! I'll... just get outta here!!!"

"Yur funny for such a strange little man." Jamie retorted, "How are you able to do such silly lil tricks?" "TRICK THIS!" Shouted Vengram as he attempted to hurl a rock at the engineer, which promptly hit his hardhat, not even making a dent. Vengram finally noticed the flower and moss atop his hat, much like his own lily pad, and for a moment, Vengram felt...bad.

"..Okay, Okay, fine. Just.... leave, I won't do anything...Sorry."

Next person! Vengram could find himself in many different reasons to fight someone, he's a d&d character, so take that what you will!

Vengram was done.

He ignored this random woman who spouted tips and tricks for him on how to use his magic, not taking the hint that he wanted nothing to do with her, he had nearly drowned thanks to this woman, and she CLEARLY initiated battle.

All he had done was make a passing comment on her, unusual spectacles, but apparently her hearing was far more superior then his own, despite  size differences in their ears.

Even her magical tips were somewhat odd, she never gave a tip in regards to any magic Vengram understood, it was almost as if he was being yelled and taught by some buff alien, even if her knowledge was useful, it clearly was not the same magic as Vengram's.

The druid lay on the ground, still trying to catch his breath after nearly drowning in water that this woman summoned, while she continued to teach him, He was pissed, but not pissed enough to restart the battle.

Also she kicked his ass, so ...

He just laid there and took the criticism, its not like he was more then twice her age in goblin years and had studied the arcane for much time or anything...

Bubblegum LostPocong

With a wave of her hand, Bubblegum dispelled the raging storm she had summoned. She reached into the water that had flooded this impromptu battlefield and pulled out a goblin, a little more then halve her size. “You okay? “the teacher asked, after quickly healing all his injuries.

“Looks like I overdid it a little, “she stated, as she saw the devastation her magic had caused to the surrounding area; Then she started laughing… What a weird woman… At least she saw it fit do deal with the flood she had wrought. Raising one hand above her head, she collected all the surrounding water in a giant, floating sphere, which then shrank and disappeared without a trace.

Turning her attention back to Vengram, the woman said, “Anyway, you’re not bad, but if you’re interested, I’d still have some advice for you.” With a wide grin, she added, “In case you ever want to challenge someone like me again.” Did he actually do that? Who knows; This woman would interpret anything as a challenge…

Bubblegum then spent the next half hour teaching the goblin various useful techniques for fighting someone much stronger than himself.

NP: Bubblegum will interpret any doubt of her abilities as a challenge, so she'll fight for little reason. Also, she's extremely strong, but will heal any injuries she causes, and might even buff your OC so it's not too unfair.

Bubblegum had found a promising new student. This girl, Maribelle could learn a lot from her, and not just things related to combat… But first: Healing.

Although the teacher held back, making sure to not seriously injure her perspective student, she suspected her rough demonstration of her mixed martial arts might have still left Maribelle feeling rather uncomfortable. So, she approached the teenager to apply soft soothing magic.

But when she got close, the girl suddenly lashed out, and jabbed her knife towards Bubblegum’s heel. The older woman didn’t bother trying to dodge or defend herself; The fight was already over, and she wouldn’t force Maribelle to become her student against her will…

Watching the teenager scamper away, she shouted, “If you want to learn how to fight like me, let me know!” before turning around and walking away… seemingly unbothered by her severed tendon…

Maribelle Burnett Vapor

In the West, defeat meant certain death. If not death, then imprisonment, and then whatever came after you were imprisoned.

Bubblegum was not the usual opponent that Maribelle fought, though she believed this wouldn't make staying anymore dangerous. The girl pulled herself weakly through the razed earth, aching all over. She clutched the pommel of her arming sword in one hand, though her other hand was snaked down to her side, holding her misericorde tightly. Tense, the blood roaring in her ears, she was barely coherent enough to hear what the woman was saying. Something about teaching her. Maribelle didn't want to know what that meant.

Her breathing quickened when she noticed Bubblegum approach. That, sadly, wasn't the only thing she noticed.

Bubblegum didn't wear shoes.

It was a very good idea to wear shoes.

The moment Bubblegum was close enough, Maribelle lashed out. She aimed a blow towards the woman's foot, to penetrate through her achillies tendon with the misericorde's thin, needle-like blade. If the metal made its way through the flesh and to the other side, exploding from the skin, then Maribelle would quickly draw it away. Whether her attempt succeeded mattered not, because as soon as she withdrew her dagger, she picked herself up with a huff and darted, still sore, still in pain, but alive.

No matter how kind someone feigned to be, they were still a threat. The probability of being killed or harmed further was too great. Hopefully the shank would be enough to keep Bubblegum away from Maribelle, though, if not disable her, as the teenager fled into the woods.

@ NP: Maribelle will fight if she thinks you're either a threat to her or if her boss literally just tells her to smack you around. She's pretty strong and well-practiced in combat, and is usually armored? Square up with this 6'2" demon rat.

rat kills weasel .

Maribelle circled Salvador, a wild animal stalking a poor, unassuming slave-turned-gladiator. She glared down at him as he laid atop the sand, sad, defeated. She was a soldier, sure, but being so young she didn't quite realize her own strength, even in the face of a man half her size.  As already stated, to lose a fight in the West generally meant losing one's life, and so she treated this as any other fight, before realizing that she was, in fact, not in the West. So, while she stared Salvador like he was a demon, there was more a sense of discomfort in the atmosphere. She didn't mean to kill him.

"I don't know how to teach other people to fight like this." Maribelle pointed out, "I could teach you how to shoot. I can't teach you how to fight."

Then, he started listing his... achievements?

The teenager's eyes narrowed. Her brows lowered into a deeper, puzzled frown.

"So?" she scoffed, "Well, how about I don't teach you how to shoot a crossbow, anyway? Stupid idiot." Dummy, fool, moron, dumbass, buffoon, imbecile. "I can dance, too, you know. Except professionals actually taught me. Did you learn from a professional, Salvador? Huh?" This is a weird thing to beat him up over. Maybe it's time to stop.

Maribelle sheathed her sword back into its scabbard and crossed her arms, turning away from Salvador. Now was his chance to stab her in the back and kill her. Especially since, well... "What if Roswell asks? I'm gonna have to tell him, and then maybe I'll tell Raphael, too. Just so he can hear about it." Not that Raphael would care. Was beating up a poor rat really an accomplishment to boast about? Apparently so. Maribelle snootily turned up her nose at Salvador when she looked back over at him.

"Get up," she said, "And give me your money. I'm going to go buy an apple."

Salvador Wapenburg fizzelston

The arena sand felt uncomfortable and rough against his skin. His back was damped and his head was spinning. The sky, he looked up to from his laying-down position, had turned into a milky red.  Fitting. It matched the blood that seeped out of his punched nose.
"We should quite," the older aspirant said. As he slowly, and painfully, forced himself to sit back up again. He eyed Maribelle in her plate armor and her sword still resting in her hand. His own dagger, a kram for the occasion, lay a bit further away from him in the arena sand. Kicked out of reach. The Half tried his fingers, but his tendons were sour.
The backhand blow Maribelle had given it was still bitterly noticeable. His entire frame felt hurt. Blood had cakes on his hands, mustache and neck. A bruise on his cheek.
"Pah said you would teach me. Teach me how to fight. You did not teach me," he said. Maribelle had kicked his ass. Though, that was teaching in its own way. Getting humbled.

Salvador forced himself back onto his feet. A pit felt into his stomach as he did so and the nauseating head-spinning returned. He squinted his eyes.
"I am still a better dancer," he said. Scrambling to patch this fresh hole in his pride. "And I am older." Salvador added that last part as if it was an achievement. Maybe it was an accomplishment, getting 'older' than someone in the poor conditions the two of them lived in.
"I am 25. An adult," he said. "And a sour loser," Salvador admitted. "Vot. Just don't tell my pah." Pause " Or your mentor."

--
Salvador rarely wind a fight, it's more likely he flees mid-fight. He can be seen using his time magic to create a distraction. He's a good climber and thus would climb on something to get away from ur oc. Like a little gargoyle.
