Be it as either a joke or considered seriously. You have probably either seen someone make reference to or pondered what your fursona might be but have you questioned that in regards to characters. If you don't know what a fursona is, well, allow me to inform you. In a slight twist of the thread What Animal Do You See In The OC Above You we will looking at a character. Looking at everything from their color palette, their personality, and all that and we will be picking an animal based on what we feel best reflects that character. However, the twist is that this time we aren't just saying what animal we see in the character. We are guessing what animal the character sees in themselves. That's right! Going through this thread you will be asked to define what if this character had enough internet exposure as you to ponder the question of what their fursona would look like or perhaps simply what you think the above character might look like if they were a little less humanoid and a lot more furry, or scaly, or, well, there's a lot of terms and we don't have time to get into all of them.
However, before you get to posting we have a rule or two as well as a general guide to posting if you are at all confused.

As for the rules of the thread, well, there aren't many.
- Keep things PG-13 at most and PG preferably. Try not to swear or make allusions, or even explicit reference, to NSFW stuff. This isn't a mature thread. Be smart with what you post.
- Try to let at least 3 people go before you go again although if someone hasn't posted in 24 hours feel free to go again.
- Don't be mean or cause drama. By which, I mean, don't purposefully say things in regards to the character above yours with the intent to cause offense and if anyone causes trouble don't deal with it in the thread. Talk to me and either I, or if need be, the admins can deal with it.

ngl the name makes me think of a fish, but a koi by itself would be weird and maybe a bit simplistic (since koi aren't naturally purple afaik), so... maybe a mandarinfish instead??
the purple in her hair sort of reminds me of the blue in its scales + the fact that she tends to be included in multiple universes can be sort of represented by how widespread the fish's range (from Japan to Australia) is- :0

I'm thinking of a dog breed "Borzoi". Maybe mostly because of his design, though I think it fits pretty well :"D They're hunting dogs that has calm and carefull personalities
Would it be too obvious to say ant? Because of well, obvious reasons? Other than that, I could see him as a very grumpy cat... Or maybe even a hawk or an owl? I´m sorry, i´m very indecisive, lol.
I feel like he'd have a peacock sona! Being flamboyant + his love of fancy food and clothes makes me feel like he'd really vibe with them.
I would've continued the peacock chain as I feel that its flamboyance and extravagance would fit well with Jasper's character, but alas... I think that'd be repetitive/redundant, and maybe a bit too obvious as well... thus, as left-field as it is, I propose the blue morpho butterfly:
the first aspect of Jasper that caught my eye as soon as I saw his icon was the blue in his design, as it immediately stood out from the more orange hues of his skin color and freckles. in a way, he'd see that resemblance in the butterfly, which has blue scales on its dorsal side but brown on its ventral, though... I think he'd primarily focus on the former and ignore the latter, since the butterfly tends to be remarked as beautiful, and... well... Jasper sure appreciates the aspects of beauty in himself lmao.
as with all butterflies, however, the blue morpho butterfly is delicate as shit. perhaps Jasper could see that (as well as the brown underside of its wings) reflecting his deeper insecurities?? I noticed that in his bio that he has trouble regulating his emotions, causing him to react strongly to perceived threats; while this would weaken the butterfly comparison from an IC perspective, from a meta perspective, it'd be sort of interesting in that his strong emotions are juxtaposed against the butterfly's more delicate nature. it could be resolved if, in canon, Jasper was the type to aspire to become a better person, and perhaps... the butterfly could represent those goals in a way... :0c
on a less serious/angsty note, I can totally see Jasper picking a weird/left-field animal for his fursona just because he considers mammals in general to be basic as shit, and he REALLY wants to stand out from the crowd. he'd pick up on the fact that insects don't really get picked as fursonas and go straight for that. it may give him wry looks, but Jasper most likely wouldn't give a shit. it makes him look unique, after all, so why complain? (the preceding paragraphs, however, would probably explain why he'd pick this species specifically and not just a random butterfly in general lmao.)
