To be honest, I'm biased against Persona 5- it's my personal least favorite game in the Megami Tensei series- however, I haven't played Royal either. With all that being said, I'm gonna be judging based on aesthetics alone.
I'll say 7/10- I like the aesthetic a lot, Soejima art is amazing as usual. I get what you mean about being drawn to him- I myself was drawn to Goro Akechi when he was first shown way before the game even released and he ended up being the sole character I came out of the game with a notable fondness for, haha. However, I'm not drawn to Maruki in the same way I was Akechi.
Also part of me hopes he's kinda like Ms. Saeko from the early Persona games, a helpful guiding type of teacher.
As for my husbando...
Byakuya Togami from Danganronpa. It's been around 7 years of me being into the series and this asshole has a permanent spot in my heart.
i remember that bastard.. he was one of my favorites from the little knowledge i had of that series. fun fact: i ran an rp group that i inherited from some friends about hope's peak and it was a multifandom roleplay. it was fun! we had a good time and togami was there and the person who rp'd him did a great job! togami is mr. money bags and i wouldn't wanna make him mad..8/10!

Oh wow I've never seen anything about that title but the art style in the last image looks really familiar--- maybe they made Kamigami no Asobi as well? Either way he's adorable and I love his overall design, if I went and played the game I have a feeling he'd be among my faves as well..... strong 8/10!
