So we all know how fandoms are able to reduce and mischaracterise characters down to nothing. Any complex concepts and motivations removed just so they fit better into a certain ship dynamic. Details removed cause artists don’t like drawing them. Older characters being made to look 25. And so on so on.
So what if the person above headworld had a fandom? How would their characters get misinterpreted and reduced down?

v okay but the secret romantic part is lowkey true
-okay I can see people simping like CRAZY over Tru, vampire with a sad backstory?? I think people would LOVE that
-people would definitely be like "I can fix him"
-he would get a lot of people making fanart of him with dark, moody tones, ESPECIALLY art that draw lots of attention to his scars
-if he did any bad things people would definitely defend him no matter what, they would excuse any bad behavior because of his trauma
-going off that, fans would probably try to coddle him, they would say things like "I wanna wrap him in a warm blanket and give him hot chocolate :("
-I can imagine all the mood boards of him in black and white with sad quotes
-he would definitely be a favorite, if not the most popular character

I can also see them completely diminishing her culture. LA girl all the way.
Not being able to focus gets ramped up to 12/10. She would jump from one thing to another and never stop to have a normal conversation ever
- I think that people genuinely forget that Quill has arms, but people would like to draw him because of that
- Lots of babygirl-ism comments about him making flower crowns and living in the forest
- People with anxiety 100% would make 'I'm him' or 'it's me' jokes
- People really like his big floppy hat
- I think he'd be lots of people's comfort character
- Lots of people simplify his character to just a cute guy who has 'no thoughts, head empty'
- Merch of him would fly off the shelf
- His fanart would be very cottage-core

- Either shipped with his actual partner, or anyone who he interacts with
- Would probably make his daughter annoying or overly cute
- He's for sure gonna look either younger than he is, or older
- Lot of people not wanting to draw him all of the (very cool) clothing he canonically wears, so he'll be put in some basic outfits
- Have his late wife still be alive and insist that he doesn't have feelings for Chastice

- Design-wise, I could definitely see people simplifying his horns/drawing them less curly then they are.
- There'd be so many fix-it fics for his backstory due to just how sad it is and some people wanting to see an AU where life is kinder to him. Alternatively, many angsty stories where his past is utilized to hit the reader extra hard in The Feels(tm).
- People would 100% overplay the anxious part of him until his whole personality just becomes that of Anxiety. Either that or many forget that part of him entirely due to his nonchalant behavior.
- On a positive note, I could see people making wholesome fanart of him with his sister.
- they would ''forget'' to include his wrinkles and get his hair texture completely wrong
- they would mischaracterize him as overly mysterious
- I feel like he would also be portrayed as overly empathetic, ''soft'' and the whole tired aspect of him being often tired would lead to a lot of fanart of him sleeping

- He and his brother would get so many anamatics from that one episode of gravity falls where they find out that Dipper is shorter all because Maze is tennically younger.
- His weird voice is gonna be so over used in those ASMR x Listener videos. The comments are always gonna have a 50/50 chance between being filled with tottal simps or people making fun of the voice.
- Raw meat becomes another big part of his personality. No longer is it a just because he can, it's a full on "He walked around my house, broke in through the window, then asked me if I had any meat. I had some chicken in the fridge thawing for my lunch and when he found it he began eating it. HE DIDN'T EVEN BOIL IT FIRST HE JUST DOVE IN!"
- Fandom is gonna create one of those fan characters that becomes so popular people forget they don't exist just to give him a dog.
- People would babify them SO much. The skrunkly. The mimsy. The scrimblo.
- Lots of fanart of them as the tbh creature and similar memes :)c I mean, look at their big big eyes
- Sadly I feel like they would also be a lot of age discourse, similar to all characters whose age is a bit vague and stuff. Some people would draw them much more mature than in canon.
- Even though they can speak, since they have no mouth visible, some fan would probably hc them as using sign language instead.
- Their kleptomania would get flanderized veery quick and be an endless source of memes.
- I can see people redesigning them and give them a bunch of body horror and/or spider-like features!
- I can also see people loving to draw them in crossovers with Bendy or Pomni for some reason haha
- I feel how he'd be portrayed in fanon would vary crazily. One half is a cute uwu little baby and the other half is the type of guy who will kill you if you mildly annoy him.
- People would probably forget he's sociable and confident and make him shy purely based off his looks.

- Already thinking people might have a hard time remembering he's trans and put him in outfits that would canonically cause him to feel dysphoria.
- I think Michel and Gabriel would get the Sans and Papyrus treatment. Fanon Michel kills you if you so much as say something mean to Gabriel while Gabe cowers in the corner and is treated/acts like a child.
- On the light side there'd probably be fun little imaginary matches where it's Gabriel VS. other powerful guys made by those particularly passionate.
- I think he'd get a lot of cool fanfics too, probably many aus too like what if Gabriel was EVIL?!?
