Give the above OC a Pokémon moveset

Posted 6 years, 4 months ago by  Pickles colorful

I made one for abilities, so time for a moveset.

MOVES MASTERLIST FOR YOU TO CHOOSE FROM. It's ordered in index number!

HOW TO PLAY:

You tell the OC above about which moves fit them, and the person below will tell which fit them!

Rules are always the same:

  • Don't be a dicc and respect. 'Nuff said.
  • Signature moves are also allowed! (e.g. OC above is a pumpkin, so it gets Gourgeist's Trick-or-Treat)
  • USE THE MOVES' ENGLISH NAMES!!
  • Wait for 3 people before you could post again, unless 24 hours has passed and you can post regardless of the limits.
  • READ THE OC'S BIO!! DO NOT POST IF NOT EVEN LOGGED IN USERS CAN ACCES YOUR OC'S BIO.
  • This is strictly only for Pokémon moves. No moves outside the Pokémon franchise.
  • You must put four moves, no more or less!
  • OPTIONAL: You can state if you prefer an all-out attack moveset or a supporting one, just whatever you prefer!

Dragon claw: I think this move would be fitting for Ezra because of his arm that is covered in dragon scales! His hand in that arm appears to have claws that look like they could scratch at their opponent and cause some damage!

Iron tail: Since Ezra’s tail is rather large and looks rather hefty I think this move would represent it well as an attack!!

Dragon Breath: Since Ezra is part dragon I thought this would fit him rather well!!

Endure: I thought this would represent how well Ezra seems to be able to handle things (I hope this makes sense!)

I hope this is ok! If I need to change anything please let me know and I’ll try and fix it ASAP!!

Taiva Halla SkywardtheDragon

Double Team: Darling and Mimic would constantly switch places, acting as a distraction and keeping an opponent from telling where they are.

Recover: Represents her ability to regrow her own limbs.

Bite: Should be self-explanatory

Thief: Because she’s an Urchin, and steals stuff.

♥ Gild ♥ Gild

First off, 100% a Water/Poison!

Aqua Tail: While Taiva has fangs, I imagine that the size of her tail means that's a method of attack too, most likely as an opening when on the hunt. Because of Taiva's charm, it would, therefore, make sense that such a move would hold priority due to an element of surprise.

Charm: This is relatively self-explanatory when looking through the bio. Deceptive appearance, so Taiva would use her cute looks to lower defenses as an alternative so something like Aqua Tail if the opponent is bulkier.

Poison Fang: This is for finishing blows, as Taiva is poisonous after all! The move can poison the opponent, which will help out if the battle is prolonged.

Surf: Also relatively self-explanatory when looking through the bio. Taiva can summon large waves, which is the jist of Surf. I imagine she'd use it on the hunt against something like a school of fish.

Koi Mercenary_Ike

Moonlight: His whole aesthetic screams "Moons", so I chose this rather than Moonblast because I figure he'd use it to stall out the cops

Agility: He's described as graceful and lean, so I picked this rather than swords dance

Roar of Time: He's in trouble with the law for a time related crime, so why not give him the attack of the master of time?

Psychic: Psychic types are associated with space mostly and he's got the powers.

Fitzgerald (Human) kafkaesque

Return: as a character based off shippings, Koi initially screamed Attract to me in terms of moveset, but then I changed my mind over to Return since I do believe that she sort of follows that "generally cute but can still kick ass" archetype. this move is surprisingly powerful when a high friendship is involved, so I imagine it being able to hit pretty hard when used in the presence of one of her loved ones. it also highlights Koi's generally wholesome character, since I always saw the concept behind Return as really sweet and that type of move that hits you in the feels haha-

Sketch: as... out there as it is, I can see Koi using this move to better accommodate herself to the various universes that she gets herself into!! for example, maybe in a universe focused on fighting, she learns a more offensive-based move to better protect her loved ones in dire situations; however, she'd likely replace Sketch with a status move in a more peaceful universe. she seems like a flexible character, so a flexible move like Sketch comes into mind!! (+ she's fairly associated with art/creativity, hence why I chose this over something like Assist or Metronome.)

Water Gun: to be... completely honest... Koi literally makes me think of a fish, and fish are 100% Water-type by association, so... quintessential Water-type move it is lmao. plus, it's more towards the cute side of things, and since Koi is overall a cutesy character based on her headcanons in her bio. the only reason I chose this over something like Bubble or Bubblebeam is that I don't see her as a particularly offense-based character, but nonetheless, a move that at least packs some punch would be appropriate at times.

Sing: one of Koi's headcanons did mention that she sings out loud when a favorite song of hers comes on, so... *jazz hands* there was also another that stated that she hums songs while working on things, but I think the former headcanon is stronger evidence haha- I actually don't see her using this move intentionally a lot of the time, mostly because of the whole sleep effect that it has. still, it does make her 100% adept at lullabies imo...

   - dfjhvfhuv oh hell yea I love that tbh?? honestly the fact that it's super status-based and not at all offensive (with Dazzling Gleam being his only strong move wheeze) is actually a really nice touch!! though... maybe battle-wise... Rage and Follow Me could be an interesting combo... :3c

Mires Dohmalore

She kinda reminds me of a zubat or noivern, with her general body shape/colors/habitat

  • Shadow Sneak: The first move I thought of, when I saw she was good at sneaking up on things
  • Double Team(or minimize): Raises evasiveness, fitting since her strategy tends towards avoiding being hit or seen.(aesthetically it doesn't really fit but there are not a lot of evasion-boosting moves)
  • Hone Claws:  Raises Accuracy & attack; her evasiveness sets her up nicely to just spam those stats to max
  • Night Slash(Or Wing attack): Just a nice regular physical attack.  You don't need anything fancy if you're buffed to god status
Rowan Luo (Resident Evil AU) danlion

Ok, I'm gonna with their element being wind and therefore flying type, plus their trollishness - flying/dark type.

Sky Drop - Dropping their enemies from a great height feels like something Mires would do.
Feint Attack - "The user approaches the target disarmingly, then throws a sucker punch. This attack never misses." This definitely sounds like something they'd do and have done with the trusting newbs.
Fake Out - Disrupt your opponents plans by making them flinch and giving you extra time.
Teleport - To GTFO when they've gotten in over their head.

Rayna SkywardtheDragon

Bulk Up: Represents his B.O.W. form. If this was an actual Pokemon game, his other form would probably be caused by an ability, but this works for now.

Flying Press: Hawlucha is another Pokemon with gliding abilities (technically Inteleon has membranes more like Luo does, but as far as I recall it only uses them when switched in).

Extreme Speed: With how fast he is, a +2 priority attack would fit.

Recover: Represents his natural regeneration.

Petrel malaquill

Brick BreakHer trivia section tells me she's got a lot of physical strength, so I think fighting type moves might be a good fit for her! I can picture her just slamming into an opponent and smashing through their defenses like this move does.

Fury Swipes: I associate this move with Meowth a lot, and in turn, her five cats. Perhaps they're a secret weapon. Because she can be destructive, a move that hits multiple times also seems like it would suit her well!

Double Edge: Another damage dealing attack! Her destructive nature also seems like it could get in the way, so a move with recoil might be an interesting counter to that... and since she has a keyblade, it's also wordplay!

Hone Claws: She seems like a very diligent character, and while I can't help but feel like she might focus solely on damage-dealing moves, a move that boosts her attack seems right up her alley if she did use a non-damaging move.
