Ectomy could probably have managed an introduction without the whole "holding him at gunpoint" thing. But, her intel said this guy was some kind of cop- the longer she could keep him still without calling for backup, the better. That, and she found that she was roughly 20% more convincing in conversations with a gun involved. It was simple efficiency, at this point. All social interactions are about efficiency, right?

"I'm here to talk business, and that's it. No one has to get hurt here. Got it? Now. Word on the street is that you're that cop who can see ghosts. I don't know if that means you're dead, cursed, or what, but you're going to follow me into my next scheduled haunting, help me run things a bit smoother. Understood?"

Folklore said, getting near enough to his target before speaking, though he knew that Ren was aware of his presence.

“That is quite magnificent! You see, i am a scholar of sorts myself. Though, with your abilities, you probably already knew that.”

He moved himself to be in front of Ren.

"I've heard you serve a false god," Picket said without any hesitation. The cleric's feet softly dangled as he observed Folklore from the safety of his chair. Picket's eyes were big with expectation. "A trickster! A soul snatcher! Is that true?" Picket leaned forward and almost fell off his chair. "Are you cursed?"

"I've heard you actually were second place in the Fortnite World Cup." It was shocked for some reason. "The amount of effort that must have been. Even if it seemed like a waste of time."

"Some of the people I know," Dahlia began in a hushed tone, "They were goin' on about you, just got me curious and all."

"..Just the thing is, they all say you're absolutely awful with money, that you just buy whatever catches your eye." Best to just put it out on the table, right? Honestly, Dahlia could believe such comments, take them at face-value and all that, because if there was one thing she noticed of Serena, it was that the other woman seemed a bit... flighty. A good fighter, sure, and with such magnificent abilities and martial prowess to boot, but flighty. Finances were a subject of irresponsibility here, Dahlia supposed, and a bit solemnly too.

But, there was more a topic of judgement here than just being bad at money.

"They also said you got some... real gaudy statue thing, something like that." She scrunched up her nose. "Like it looks like you went and got it at some basic old lady's market stall, right? Kind of painted all tacky like that, like what you'd see. Except, the price of it was more like... more like you bought it from a museum, so a couple grand, maybe... Erm, but did you? ..Do you have it?"
