Ok this is rather general but I really liked reading through both of their profiles and faved both of them! I also like the contrasting dynamics between their personalities n such! ^^
However for the sake of this game I prefer Kayden; I really like how even though he is well-meaning to the point of giving out immortality to fellow students who are going through tough times, he still has his flaws. They're also not flaws I usually see associated with his character type which also stood out to me a lot! The one that stood out to me the most, toxic positivity, is not something I see a lot in general and I think that opens up a lot of possible pathways for that to fold out, especially given how they seem to contrast with his ideals of excessive revenge. I also think that his backstory provides a compelling reason for him being the person he is (in particular the whole "revenge as morals" thing came to mind when I read it) and I'd like to see more of the story he's in since the setting sounds really cool :0
I also really like his design! The blues and grays go superrr well together and the patterns are simple but pleasing to look at!!
This may or may not be a foregone conclusion but... choose your Deadly Sin, lust or gluttony?
Alternatively, if you don't wanna do those two, how about the two reporters, Vox or Elijah?
