(i'm going to safely assume he's an adult, but i do also recommend having a clear general age in a character's profile for threads like these, just to be sure!)
Well, if that wasn't the most flustered confession he'd heard in a long time. The man towered over him fairly blatantly height-wise, and yet he felt instead the one who could scare the other away at any possible moment. In fact, would he turn tail? Caelestis' eyes remained widened for a few moments, near flustered himself if only for the extent at which Milo appeared to be. "I… Well," he semi-chuckled in a mix of still lingering shock, at last gathering himself enough to react more properly. "I must commend the honesty, for certain." Instinctively, his hand reached to grip loosely onto the other's sleeve for the seemingly increasingly genuine possibility of him retreating too swiftly, letting go only a moment later once the intention was hopefully conveyed.
Though he knew it would be best not to delay all too greatly, Caelestis considered his next words with care. While Milo was not the sort he found himself most typically approaching in that regard—beyond an occasional irresistible urge to tease, perhaps, which was still something to consider as well—he liked to keep an open mind in regards to what may develop. You may never know, after all, and that was nothing less than the truth in his experience, even if at times that exact mindset would be the largest source of any future plights. Although that was less exciting to linger on.
After the brief period of silence, he spoke up again. "You enjoy acting, yes? Theatre?" He glanced up at the man, fingers held against his own chin in thoughtful consideration. "I've indulged from time to time as well, so I would love to see what you're capable of sometime, if you would allow me. Perhaps we can consider from there." From someone so evidently timid and skittish, the contrast then of possessing such an ability was a difficult one not to find intrigue in, and it truly did hold a somewhat fond place in his heart. Caelestis' smile grew. While he could not assume what the other necessarily wished for at the moment, nor if his own casual, yet fickle mindset would be the kindest for one so likely far less experienced, as well as whether it would be only a fleeting, mild crush, or whether Milo had only misunderstood the feelings to begin with—indeed, a great deal of thoughts to ponder on—it would be fun to get to know him better no matter.
GAHHH that was so cute I'M
While it wasn't surprising to have encountered Scott properly again, he'd truly intended to keep his distance even still, yet the words betraying him so had already been blurred out—casually and flirtatiously otherwise as they were—before he'd known it. The kindness of his own felt little more than a deceptive mask. In the presence of someone so genuine and pure, he was but an infectious darkness that possessed no true place to speak of, and so to what was there to be provided in approaching the man but only a hidden, bewitching evil? It felt only a given that Scott would see little but the good, although even through the lingering internal conflict within himself, oh indeed—the sight of the other's flushed face and dumbfounded reaction made it a somewhat difficult thing to regret. Caelestis couldn't help but chuckle within his heart.
The shyness was almost surprising to see in a manner, yet it was difficult to not find himself only feeling all the more fond already through it all. Selfishly? He blinked widely for a moment, puzzled at the apologetic words that had followed shortly. Though little opportunity to linger on the confusion was given as Scott continued on, and Caelestis' mind distracted itself as well on instead the eager swishing of the other's tail all the while. Kind, adorable, and amusing as well—alas.
"...Lemonade?" He repeated, attention ignited promptly as his mind returned to the present at the mention of the word. Was this man clairvoyant in addition? "I… That all sounds wonderful, I must say." The sheer enthusiasm itself left him almost feeling lightly flustered in turn, gathering his bearings briefly in attempt to put his thoughts into words while retaining the same calm demeanor of his usual. "I haven't gathered a great deal of familiarity with the area just yet, I will admit, so you must show me around a bit as well." How he hoped Scott could be happy around him in turn. And though the descriptor itself wasn't his favorite, it felt likely for there to be an opportunity to clear that up would it not be too disappointing for the city cop for it to be so. Smiling at the soft warmth of the other's hand, Caelestis' heart couldn't help but warm as well.
Ah, in spite of everything, perhaps it was alright to be a bit selfish for the moment.
