★Would you drink the person aboves potion?★

Posted 5 years, 10 months ago (Edited 4 years, 7 months ago) by Appicot

Okay! So I haven't seen anything simillar to this, so I would like to make a forum! Basicly, what happens is;

Person a will post (in character) Their characters potion and explain the advantages and disadvantages it brings! For example you become really lucky for a hour but you cant talk durring that hour! Person b then replies (In character) saying if they would or wouldnt drink person A's potion, then they say what option you woud get from their oc and so forth! A better example for this is//

Person a as their oc Doe: "I wouldn't drink that potion! Yea, being able to make anyone love you is cool but you have pains in your gut aswell, nuh uh!"

after leaving, doe dropped a potion! The potion is a jump boost potion! When drank, you gain the ability to jump higher BUT, you loose sight when you jump!

Person b as their oc jules: "well, im already blind so why not!"

Once jules walked away, potion in hand he dropped his own! This potion gives you extra speed, but you throw up after running!

And the cycle continues!

★Rules★

- You have to comment in character! When your oc talks, use "'s please!

- Wait 2 posts before posting again, but it has to be with a different oc!

- Nothing nsfw please!

- new update: A least write 2 scentances, just so its fair to anyone who rights walls of text! But at the same time, dont get mad at anyone who writes only 2 scentances as a reply, thanks!

Lets start off with Benny! Benny was running through the forest when he dropped his potion! This potion does +5 healing, but reduces your speed and attack speed! Do you drink this potion or leave it alone?

Doujin looked at the vial with a confused look. He tilted his head and flew around to look at the vial from every angle. It seemed like he'd never completely make a choice until he finally stopped levitating and stood in front of the bottle. "It's real pretty! But, I can't! I like being a sky god!" Doujin slid the bottle away from him. "And besides, I NEED to be a sky god. I have people in a sky village that worship me. People that need me. To become something else and abandon my people... to abandon them more than I already ha-" Doujin stopped himself and gave a pained, forced smile. "Sorry.. I'm not gonna drink it!"

- ------

The potion Doujin presented was in a small dainty vial. The liquid inside was white like milk. It sparkled and bubbled and was almost a little transparent. "Soo, this here will give you the ability to levitate like me for a week! You can even fly real high to the clouds like me. Buuuuut, it makes you real abnormally drowsy. Like, theres a.. let's say... 70% chance that you'll doze off into a long, deep sleep out of nowhere, even when high in the sky. You won't even get a real warning. You'll just feel crazy drowsy for a few seconds and poof! You won't be protected from fall damage or anything. If you're really high when this happens... yeesh..! And when I say long, I mean looong! Like, over five hours or more long! Nothing and no one can wake you up from it. This never wears off until the potion itself wears off. So, once you wake up, its only a matter of time before it happens again and it will happen multiple times! I dunno how much time you'll actually spend flying haha!"

Mo looks at you as if you were stupid. "I cant possibly drink such a foolish potion! The gift of flight aint worth falling from the sky. But i suppose it would be nice just to have... And it is a pretty cute bottle... " The fluffy poodle thing gives into her hoarding addiction and takes the vial. It wouldn't be drank by anyone but it would sit on her shelf looking pretty at least

~

Mo trots towards you. "helloooooooo. My buddy is making me get rid of some junk.  She's fed up with my amazing collecting abilities and is making me give stuff away out of jealousy! You can have this if you want" she says,  rolling a dusty coke bottle towards you. "it makes anything and everything delicious and edible. Only catch is you'll have explosive diarrhea an hour after you eat anything! So,  what do ya say?" the old "soda" sloshed around in its bottle, as if it was awaiting your response.

Java kokebii

Java put her finger on her chin and scrunched up her face. The fennecoon watched the liquid slosh around inside the bottle. could make the greatest weapon of all time with that potion. She decided. “Alright, ill take a sip.” She said, taking the bottle from the stranger and tipping it up to her lips. Java drank it down then belched. Now it was time to see if the shapeshifter was right. She held her hand up in the air, and shut her eyes. Comon comon....Yes! It was happening! The handle started to materialize first, then the rest of the shiny metal object. Java laughed maniacally. “Now i can finally open this can of beans” Java used her new weapon( a canopener) to open a can of beans and eat them raw. “Mm...”

You saw a brown dot in the distance running towards you. A little fox...raccoon? with a sprout on it’s head. The thing stopped short of you with a skidding halt. “Hey, do you think you can take this potion off my hands? You seem like you could use it.” When you asked what it did, Java replied. “Uh well you see, this potion allows you to read the mind of anyone you touch! But some thoughts are better left unheard.” She said with a smirk. “Do you still want it?” She asked.

Wynn dracanboys

Wynn stares at the creature for a few seconds, blinking in confusion and thought. Perhaps it would be nice to know what people truly thought of him? And he always did have trouble reading peoples expressions and such. Knowing what they felt towards him even if it was "obvious" was very hard for him, and this would certainty fix that but... It's too invasive. It reminds him too much of bad feelings that he just cant place, but regardless he finally speaks, ".... No. I do not desire such knowledge, but I thank you for the opportunity."

Wynn approaches you quite suddenly, holding a vial in his hand with blue liquid. "I've been looking for testers for something my father made," he starts off, swinging the vial around slightly. The color turns to grey, and then turns very metallic looking, before going back to a transparent blue, now glowing. "It's something that will make you immortal. You'll live forever, but... Apparently you won't be able to feel things. Emotional feelings will not completely disappear, but they will be muted, and physically, you'll barely be able to feel anything if at all. Still, would you like to try?" He quickly adds on, "My Fathers company does have a satisfaction guarantee. If you try it, and you are not satisfied, he will help you. I've heard him help customers before, they've just... never... come back again. Or shown up again... ever... Likely because they're happy." He smiles, but it's forced and a little uncanny.

Magnolia ducclord

Magnolia perches on Wynn's shoulder. "Be immortal? To live forever?" He claps his little tiny hands together, "why that sounds wonderful! Think of all the friends Magnolia can make if I lives forever!" Then he shakes his head. "But if Magnolia cannot feel any emotions, is it truly worth living?" Magnolia pats Wynn on his cheek. "Magnolia thanks you for your offer friend! Many luck on your selling of potions!" They jump of Wynn's shoulder and flew away.

---

You catch a small pink creature fly with a vial a bit too big for him. He would've hit the ground had you not captured him. "Oh many greetings friend and many thanks for the save!" Magnolia ruffles his fur(?). "Magnolia must thank you! What say you have this nice potion from me?"

He offer you the vial, it's pink glittering liquid splashes around. Magnolia uncorks the vial, you can smell hints of roses. "This potion will bring you happiness! Not in the way of lying, no, but more in the way of luck, yes!" He pats the vial gently, "but there is catch, yes. When you feel many happy emotions, flowers will grow from your head! Happy emotions makes happy little sunflowers!"

He closes the vial. "Of course, if you're not interested in potions, Magnolia has garden nearby! You may take some strawberries with you!" Magnolia blushes and looks away shyly, "But Magnolia will be very happy if you take Magnolia's potion."

 Keats Swably

In another life, Keats may have entertained this curious pink creature's offer.  But things being such as they are, he can't exactly afford to be walking around with sunflowers sprouting from places they shouldn't.  No matter how tempting any amount of luck and happiness sounded right about now, he had more important things to think about.

"Sorry friend," he said, depositing the creature gently on a nearby bench.  "Unless you have something a bit more inconspicuous, I'm gonna have to let you go.  Might take you up on the garden thing, though.  What do you think of strawberry pie?"

You walk up the old, creaking, dust-covered steps to an equally dusty hallway and knock on the door.  After a few seconds it opens with a push from inside as it sticks in the frame momentarily, and the man you're there to see greets you.

"Ah, my apologies.  It seems my letter did not make it to you in time."

He takes a couple steps inside as he explains, inviting you in.

"Unfortunately I do not have the item you are here for.  A rather... unfortunate incident involving a rat and a violent sentient plant - I'm sure you understand."

He plucks a mason jar from a high shelf and offers it.  It's full of a dark liquid which flows strangely and seems less viscous than water.

"This is the only other thing that might be of interest.  You take it before sleeping and it untethers your dreams, allowing you to walk among the dreams of others or to discover what exists beyond the waking realm.  An adventure, to be sure - and many who take it awake enlightened and exhilarated - but you can never know for certain where you'll end up, and what you'll bring back to this world when it's time to wake up.

"So?  It's yours if you want it."

Paige BaskingCrow

She stares intensely at bottle, drumming her fingers in a wave-like motion against the glass. She glances up with a solemn look upon her face "To be able to leave my own nightmares to be amuck in others dreams- even at the cost of vile beings being brought to the earth, past the dream's veil-" She paused and seemed to evaluate her options, being silent for a long time before setting the bottle back in your hands "I'll pass, I've done enough wrongs against humanity, to possibly bring a beast here- for the sake of one night of freedom, I just can't"

She turns up to leave and in her thoughts she doesn't here the clink of a falling bottle. The bottle seemed to have silver glowing spores floating in a liquid so clear you werent entirely sure it was there at all. You pick up the bottle to see a label on it and it reads "24 Hour Wings: You gain a pair of bird wings for 24 hours". You turn the bottle to read more only to see a disclaimer "When the 24 hours end the wings will crumble and tear very painfully off."

What be your choice?

Katai SkywardtheDragon

“Thanks, but no thanks. I’m already immortal.” Katai shrugs, barely even giving a look to the potion. “Save it for someone who needs it.”

She drums her fingers for a while, apparently in thought, before pulling a small, glass bottle filled with blush-pink liquid from apparently nowhere. “All I have to offer. It’s ambrosia. Only the most divine sustenance for the gods.” She swirls the viscous liquid inside around slightly, before setting it down on the table. “Of course, if you aren’t divinity, I can’t say what will happen to you. You may become immortal. You may be poisoned. You may become entranced by its taste, and no mortal food or drink would ever fulfill you again. Drink up?”

Julian BaskingCrow

"How absolutely fascinating!" He grasps at the potion, holding it up to a light and swishing it, watching the colours swirl. "Why in the world would you give up something like this? People would do almost anything for a chance at godhood." He opens the top staring down in thought " My entire life could be ruined, I could even die, but when I think about the wonders it could create-! Someone needs to know what it does!" He clasps firmly and drinks it till it's gone

While waiting to see whatever chaos the potion will bring he decides to show off his own potion online. While scrolling online you find a potion listed for sale: "Fish Potion: Lungs into Gills" You read further and realise that it'll give you gills, and amazing swimming abilities to your greatest dreams but you can never go on land again. Do you buy it?

peaches Joey-D-yvern

The hybrid scrolled down the screen, stifling a yawn. It was nice of the farmer to let her use the computer. absentmindedly, she typed in "potions". a list of many potions covered the screen. she clicked on one. "fish potion: lungs to gills."  well, she always did want to visit her mermaid friend's home... now how to buy it?

"Hey, how does online shopping work?" she called.

A strange hybrid sits at a booth at the farmers market. various herbs and strange bottles sit on the shelves. however, only one was labeled, a square bottle filled with a muddy brown liquid. "rabbit's legs". the hybrid shrugs.

"it's a placeholder name.... i can't think of a good one." she explained.

The hybrid brings the bottle forward, so the potential customer can read it. In large print it reads

"Enhances running and jumping abilities. may cause increased anxiety."

 Chiara blu_orb

Chiara looks at the bottle curiously. "As much as I'd love to drink this... I can already fly at high speeds, so..." She smiles at the hybrid apologetically, then thinks again. "However, I think a friend of mine might like it!" She takes the bottle, putting it in her pocket.

The Rotom girl takes a small bottle shaped like, surprise surprise, a rotom, out of her pocket. It has an orangish liquid inside. She places it on a table between the two of you with a smile. "I've happened to come across this on my adventures! Uhm, I didn't find the bottle with it, but seeing the color of it, it seemed really fitting! Uh, the original bottle was really faded, but I think it said something about being able to float? Something along the lines of you'd always be floating, unable to touch the ground, or hold onto, or even sit on anything touching it until the potion wears off." She smiles at you.
