★Would you drink the person aboves potion?★

Posted 5 years, 10 months ago (Edited 4 years, 7 months ago) by Appicot

Okay! So I haven't seen anything simillar to this, so I would like to make a forum! Basicly, what happens is;

Person a will post (in character) Their characters potion and explain the advantages and disadvantages it brings! For example you become really lucky for a hour but you cant talk durring that hour! Person b then replies (In character) saying if they would or wouldnt drink person A's potion, then they say what option you woud get from their oc and so forth! A better example for this is//

Person a as their oc Doe: "I wouldn't drink that potion! Yea, being able to make anyone love you is cool but you have pains in your gut aswell, nuh uh!"

after leaving, doe dropped a potion! The potion is a jump boost potion! When drank, you gain the ability to jump higher BUT, you loose sight when you jump!

Person b as their oc jules: "well, im already blind so why not!"

Once jules walked away, potion in hand he dropped his own! This potion gives you extra speed, but you throw up after running!

And the cycle continues!

★Rules★

- You have to comment in character! When your oc talks, use "'s please!

- Wait 2 posts before posting again, but it has to be with a different oc!

- Nothing nsfw please!

- new update: A least write 2 scentances, just so its fair to anyone who rights walls of text! But at the same time, dont get mad at anyone who writes only 2 scentances as a reply, thanks!

Lets start off with Benny! Benny was running through the forest when he dropped his potion! This potion does +5 healing, but reduces your speed and attack speed! Do you drink this potion or leave it alone?

 Dai Adrian Tacocado

Dai stares at the little bottle being offered to him for what feels like a solid hour to him, Despite it being only a couple of seconds. Before he pushes it back to the girl with a gentle hand.
"It.. I really couldn't.. Hurting people is wrong.... I would never."

-----

"I... I don't want this." He says firmly, Hand tight around the small flask, Filled with a purple, Bubbling liquid, Chocolate coloured eyes firmly locked onto the other person. "..It's.. Well, It's a silencer... Anything you don't want to hear, You won't.. But that means anything... bad news.. Criticism.. gunshot.. but you won't have to deal with anything that hurts you..."

An almost longing look at the vial, Before he ducks his head low, Holding it out in a shaking arm. "...You have it. If you want..."

Jaydyn Aarix

Jade takes the vial very gently, and holds it up to the light to admire its precious contents... before letting it slip from her fingers and crushing the glass with the heel of her boot. The potion hisses as it stains and soaks into the stone underfoot. Jade grins.

"Whoops! It's a good thing my ego's not that fragile, huh? I could silence anyone I wanted to anyway. Pretty useless drink to me."

--

Jade shakes a small vial of blood-red liquid vigorously for a second, and proffers it. Its contents begin to glow softly as they settle.

"You're up. This stuff is serious business. Drink it, and a random one of your senses gets three times better, but there's a 50-50 chance you'll lose another one. Sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing, any of those. All random. You game?"

Harpalyke Jutta

Harpalyke nudged the vial tentatively, watching the red liquid slosh around. Then he tried to imagine what it would be like if he didn't see the red liquid, or feel the cool glass under his paw, or hear the slight clink it made when his claw poked it. "I don't think the risk of losing one of my senses is worth bettering another, " he said after a moment. "I don't think I need improvement in one that much, I'll pass I guess..."

The sphinx-like creature left, but quickly returned with a dish, a yellow buttery liquid filling its shallow form. He carefully laid it out for the next person to see, careful not to spill a single drop. "Drink this and you'll die, immediately, but you can reincarnate as any creature you could even think of. Dragons, aliens, a god even... but of course, when you're reborn your old memories will disappear with your original body. Same soul though- is it worth it?"

Ilta Omnaris AllSeeingPortrait

"I admit i'm biased, as my.. situation... makes me much better at games of chance, but it does seem interesting! It seems to be limitless, so getting the money back should be a breeze-though i wonder what kind of magic this is...." They shrug and down the potion in one swift gulp.

Ilta tosses between their hands a strange bottle. It looks like a bottle of whiskey- but instead of amber the liquid inside is a night sky full to bursting with stars.

"This elixir is ridiculously hard to acquire- I keep some saved for emergencies but I'd be glad to pour you a glass if you wish. For all of a year, this elixir will give you the omnipotence and power of an Elder God- to see and to know everything that will come to pass. The price is fairly dire, however- any actions you take for that year will carry the same weight as any other elder thing's. You could destroy the entire universe just by moving wrong. You wont have the training most of the Elder Gods have, to move through the cosmos as though in a delicate dance- there is none who could teach you, and any test driving could be disastrous."

Ilta pauses to gaze into the bottle wistfully. "Total Omnipotence and power, at the potential cost of everything that was or will be... What do you think?"

N'deel TenMomentsTill

Careful to not spill it on himself, N'deel tips the small cauldron of fluid over with his foot. "I will not simply abandon my people due to a promise of happiness only for myself." He says firmly. "Besides, its never wise to drink from pots of full of mysterious fluid."

------

From somewhere near his chest, he pulls a vial of silver fluid. "A chance to start things over." N'deel says as he offers the small potion to you. "You will start this life over as the same person you are now with all the knowledge of the events you have learned. The only catch is there is no guarantee that things will work out better this time." He laughs, a sad hollow sound the reverberates in the suit of armour. "Things in your life could go even worse for all you know."

Blair Aarix

Blair laughs.

"Oh, trust me, they couldn't." Blair takes the vial and squints at it. He seems to think about it for a long time.

"...Have it back" he murmurs eventually, proffering the vial and looking away, "Problem's not me not knowing stuff. Problem's just me. An' if your stuff's not gonna fix that, s' not gonna fix anything."

--

"Do I have a treat for you!"

Blair whips out a small bottle of inky-black liquid and holds it in front of you with a flourish. Its surface ripples, but that's probably just because Blair's hands are shaking quite a bit.

"You might be thinkin' "Blair, what's this stuff gonna do to me, why should I drink it" an' the answer is easy: it just tastes really good. It's magic and it's the best taste you ever dreamed of, right in here. Think about the best dinner you ever had. Well, this blows that right out of the water, simple as that. Nothin' shady. Nothin' un-to-ward. But I don't get to tell you what's in it. It's a secret recipe." Blair winks conspiratorially, as if that's helping his pitch.

Paquita Ambrose KittyKnight

Paquita proceeds to take the bottle from Blair's hand. She examines the bottle, shaking it and observing the liquid splashing within the bottle.

"Well, I personally would love to know what you put in it before I even consider drinking it," Paquita smiled "But, seeing as you're not going to tell me..."

She paused for a moment.

"Actually," Paquita suddened "I'll take it!! I mean, worst case it's just some weird things you put into it. Potentially life threatening but who cares!"

Immediately, Paquita proceeds to down the potion. The taste was totally worth it - far nicer than anything she or Poppy could have put together. But how on earth did he manage to achieve such a nice taste...

"Ah, well I don't have anything to offer myself. Anything that won't potentially kill you anyway," She laughs, before continuing "But I think my partner Poppy might have something of use and I'm sure she won't mind you having it."

At that point, she walks into the back. She eventually returns with a flask of a sparkling, red liquid. Upon closer inspection, you notice that there's a small gas coming out of it.

"This, is a love potion." Paquita announces "I'm sure you know how this works - Just get whoever you want to fall in love with you to drink it and they'll fall for you instantly."

She pauses, before continuing:

"Though I should probably warn you, the potion caused the last fellow to drink this to lose his personality. He kinda just became this shell of what he used to be the more he drank it. Nothing too bad until you realise that literally everyone he was close with noticed this change of behaviour, and that Poppy had to get the guy to continue drinking it. It didn't work out, they eventually got him off the stuff."

Paquita pushes the flask towards you.

"Still if you wanna give it a shot, I'm not gonna stop you from taking it. It's not mine anyways!!"

"No thanks. I don't really go into battle. I will take it though. There's probably some adventurer out there who'd want it, I'll just keep it in the lost and found's free to take area or sell it or something." They pocket the potion and ponderously think of which of their plentiful misplaced potions they could offer to the next person.

"Alrighty! Here we have a potion of stimulus! It allows you to not be bored, anxious, or antsy for about thirty minutes. It can be used to help you focus, or perhaps to distract you. Anyone want this? I mean, it's not much, only thirty minutes, but still! I don't think it expires anytime soon, so you could probably save it for your big essay or something."

Creme Nanamimo-Kun

"Oh! oh!" Creme excitedly jumps up, snatching the potion from the other person's hands.

"Maybe maybe I can finally finish reading that cookbook from the other day!"

Looking at the fluid inside with starry eyes, Creme tucked the potion away in her bag.

"I wonder if it's sweet... or at least I hope it won't ruin my appetite for desserts later! I gotta eat whatever I made from the cookbook you know!"

"hehehehe... I have something amazing just for you!"

out of no where, Creme takes out a bottle of... something...

"It's a food potion! it'll make whatever you eat within 24 hours delicious no matter what it is!" snickering, Creme turned around and whispered, "well... you won't be able to sleep within that time either.."

"Go on! it won't bite!"

Aaron Hadraniel NightAbyss

"Thank you!" Aaron gratefully and a bit too eagerly takes the potion. He was a college student after all; this was practically a godsend. Even more so since he was practically living off cup noodles and chips at this point to make rent.

"It wasn't like I was going to sleep tonight," he tells himself as twists the potion's cap off. "I have several projects and readings to go through after my shifts at the convenience store and the diner today."

He drinks every drop of the potion and sets the bottle off to the side. He decides to test if it worked so he rummages through his drawstring bag for something to eat. He finds some stale leftover chips he should've thrown away days ago and eats a piece.

It has the exact same gross soggy texture he had expected but the taste that explodes onto his tongue brings him to tears.

He stares at the chips for a moment before he continues slowly eating the chips one by one. By the time he's done only then he realizes that he's crying.

"Sorry," Aaron wiped his tears away, "it's just that...for some reason, they taste exactly like the food my dad used to make."

Aaron hums as he goes through the cupboards in his kitchen. The song is comforting amidst the completely trashed room and the sinister shadow glaring at you from the corner from the room.

"Ah there it is!" Aaron hops down from the stepladder and smiles warmly at you as he puts the bottle down in front of you. "Good thing I had some left!"

The liquid inside looked pitch black tar bubbling and emitting noxious gases but when you blinked its appearance changed completely. It looked exactly how you would imagine a potion to look like and a lot more appealing.

"It's so hard to be likable. No matter how much you be yourself and improve, there's always a part of you that people won't like. But with this," Aaron taps the bottle, "you'll be the person everybody likes. No matter who the person is, they'll love you. Not because you forced them to love you, oh no.

He looks you straight in the eyes. "Once you lock eyes with them, you'll know exactly what kind of person they want. You'll know how to act the way they'd like, talk the way they'd like, and know exactly what they want to hear. You'll be their perfect person," Aaron's pupils swirled and changed shape as he spoke, "and you'll be loved."
