The OC above is your servant for the day

Posted 5 years, 3 months ago (Edited 1 year, 10 months ago) by Gomji

(why am i IC lmao )

The OC above lost a bet and is now your servant for the day. What would you have them do? Embarrass them in public? Make them do your homework?

...or maybe you're just a big sweetheart who lets them relax in your house and hang out with you for the day.

-[A little rule change :3] there's nothing wrong with writing shorter responses, but it may be interesting if you wrote why your character decided to order the one above to do certain chores

Jordyn (Jörmungandr) Snowfallqueen

The serpent blinked, her fair countenance unreadable.

"Surely you jest?" She asked, but soon found the answer in the stranger's unchanging smile. The former goddess squinted her eyes, as if doing so would reveal the purpose behind his actions - but no such prophetic realizations came to her. At the very least, she could not sense killing intent, which meant that he was not there to kill her; for now. Which... was admittedly refreshing.

Having come to terms with the unusual circumstances, the pale lady began to circle the stranger, inspecting them. They were taller than her, which could have some uses. Lifting his arm, she saw that he had some leanness to his form that was not apparent at first glance. Completing the circle, she stared up at his face, and then the insignia on his hat.

"Are you a courier?" She surmised, her vermillion gaze calculating something.

"I have a letter I need delivered, but I've no address or location to give you; only a name..." She held a blank envelope out toward him, a vague expression of hope on her porcelain features.

"I would be grateful if this correspondence could find it's way to Fenrir; the eldest child of Loki."

"A "servant"? That honestly sounds so degrading to me. You'll be more of a helper for my library. As you may not know, I oversee a universe called the Darken Worlds. It's like the overworld, but for certain souls. Nonetheless, I already have a task I can teach you how to do. It can be quite easy once you get the hang of it.

He would look to see Jordyn's duties and what she does, and as someone who's an overlord of a universe, he's quite impressed. He would sit up from the front desk and would escort Jordyn to a computer that had the monitor showing certain buttons of payment. On the sides were a handheld scanner and a card scanner. He would use his personal login for the library.

"All you have to do for the day is to man this part of the front desk. Checking in and out books along with people paying for books. I can teach you how to do the rest of the work so you won't be confused. If you have any more questions though after, I'll be just on the other side giving judgement to the souls that pass through here."

Shaena Fraye StormseerKnight

The Warden cringed at the wording, more than a little bewildered as mismatched green eyes narrowed on the other.

"You lost a bet? That's... One way to get yourself Lost, for sure... The last thing I'd want to impose on you is servitude... Why don't we talk while we walk? I was on my way to get fabric, but we can make a detour to see if we can find your exit in a Stray Vein."

Whoever this Lost was, she was duty-bound to make sure they found their way home. She kept an eye out for the telltale shift of color that hinted at one of the Rift's ever-shifting pathways. She would definitely ask about the other, of bits of things, who they were, where they were from, what they did.

"Seriously, you don't really need to do anything, unless you got fabric recommends for sewing stuff, I'm always listening for those. When we find your exit, I only ask that you don't take up these kinds of bets again, yea?"

Sophia Gomolka Vapor

No matter if it was temporary, Sophia was more than happy to take advantage of one's servitude. After all, she spent most of her days either alone in the cabin or with two angsty children, and sure, she would have rather done housework alone to ensure it was top-quality, but there was only so much a person could do. So, when Shaena came knocking, Sophia was delighted to just... drag her inside. Even if she didn't really show how delighted she was. Her expression was monotone, and so was her voice.

"The people mentioned that you were efficient in your work." said Sophia, straight to the point, "I will be doing chores alongside you, there being much to do around here. I won't leave it all to you." Really, that was the least she could do in terms of kindness. And paying Shaena. She wasn't a total monster looking for cheap service. "You only need to do some wood-cutting for me, and then check on the traps in the forest to see if any animals have crawled in, then just kill and dress them. It may be different from your work in breaking curses, but it's a good thing for me." She then glanced over at the younger woman. "If you've rather a more 'exciting' job, then my wife is somewhere out there with the patrolmen."

"Still, a bird's told me that you like sweets, so you may as well help yourself to the kitchen. That is, if you stay and work for me. I have chocolate-covered raisins somewhere. My colleague gave them to me, but I don't much care for them. You can barely tell what's actually chocolate-covered raisins here..." She trailed off for a moment. Her eyes narrowed. "Speaking of, sweep the floors and the porch while you're here. Thank you."

He offers a laugh, completely taken aback by the situation. Having someone as a servant? That sounded a little... outdated. His vision trails down her and he tilts his head somewhat. "Is this some kind of throwback to the middle ages?" Frankly, he didn't know if the middle ages even had servants, but seeing as royalty did in games like Skyrim; he figured they likely did. When she doesn't seem to let up (for whatever reason), he glances to the interior of his apartment then back to her position in the doorway. He was personally a tidy person and hardly ever had a mess, no thanks to always cleaning up after himself. He was also capable of taking care of himself when it came to cooking. Really, when it boiled down to it, she didn't have a job here. Which seemed to be what she was looking for.

"I don't have anything for you, but if you want to watch TV for a bit, you can?"

Kiki ClayDoggy

"You're that intern that they told me would come, right? For HERE, of all places?! Why can't they just approve my vote for everything to be handled by automated machines around here??"

Kiki, frustrated, ranted for a considerable amount of time. Majority of the words that came out of the former microwave included "stupid..." and "insignificant...". Eventually, they stopped to cool down their 'CPU' and refocused.

"I've scanned your file, and shredded it. It literally does not matter and I could care less. Just come with me and I'll show you around."

Kiki pushed a door and revealed the information department room. It's filled with various bright lights and screens, several keyboards and monitors lay on the floor, and a large unidentifiable machine in the middle was printing papers into a bin labelled "ARCHIVES LIBRARY".

Additionally, the whole room was messy. Kiki rolled into the spaceous room while looking at the newest intern.

"Apologies for the whole mess, some raiders decided to trash the whole place while I had to personally show them the door. The knocked out idiots that I had to clobber are still here, by the way. You know, it's funny. Do they really expect me to clean all this up? I've rang the front desk for about eight hours now and not a single person decided to come in to clean up this whole trashbi-"

Kiki stopped and realized that a singular person that was sent to clean up the mess, was right in front of them.

"Oh, right. Well, perhaps I do have a job for you. Tidy up this place, will you? Take this metal rod to push these losers on the ground out and smack them against the head if they ever decide to open their eyes. Also, you have about an hour."

Illanya Mariold HardyLark

Illanya is quick to walk a circle around the robot, her brow furrowed in confusion. After a moment she seems to catch herself staring rather harshly. The Paladin gives a weak smile and she chuckles.

“Ah! Sorry, I’m… not familiar with warforged, particularly with ones that look like you. What brings you here?” She asks tilting her head. Once Kiki introduces themselves Illanya startles. “Oh! I remember now, you’re the one they were going to send to help me.”

“I have to confess, this was probably a bad day for them to send you my way. I don’t have any special assignments or missions to attend to beyond a few letters and some more personal errands…” The knight trails off in thought before sighing and smiling to Kiki.

“Well, why don’t you accompany me on my personal errands? I quite enjoy it and… I think that you will too.” Illanya suggests before turning and gesturing for the robot to follow. After a quick run to the kitchens, Illanya hands a basket full of miscellaneous fruits, vegetables, and medical materials to Kiki and they set off.

After a lengthy walk into the woods, with Illanya at the head, they arrive to a small clearing. The knight turns to Kiki and raises a gloved finger to her lips, and gestures for the robot to hand her the basket. Once it’s in her hands, Illanya pulls a glove off, brings her fingers to her lips and lets out a piercing whistle. Within moments, the sound of movement and a large Bull Elk steps into the clearing, plodding eagerly towards the two. Illanya gives Kiki a comforting smile. “It’s alright, it’s just a friend.” She tells them, before meeting the elk in the middle and rubbing his snout. The woman softly murmurs some words in another language to the elk, before turning to Kiki and beckoning them close.

“It’s alright, I know he’s a big guy, but Bathovian’s a real sweetheart.” Once they’re closer Illanya steps away to let Kiki pet the elk.

“He’s just the first. Hopefully soon, some more little critters will show up… do you want to help me feed them? Oh! And let me know if you see any that look hurt. I can get them all patched up too!” She says, and as if to prove her words, some more creatures begin to appear. Illanya smiles happily.

“Just stay calm and gentle and you’ll do just fine!”

N'arfi TwizzlyTwist

“It’s actually perfect timing that you’ve arrived here. You see- I have a date but the villagers told me that some minor beasts have been bothering them lately. My question is, could you slay them for me? Judging by your attire I think it will be an easy task for you.”

He smiled a little, He had looked forward to his date for weeks and he didn’t want to miss out on it just because some people needed his help. He felt greedy but he rarely got to do what he himself actually wanted to do.

“After that you can help yourself to any food or drinks at my apartment, maybe you could take a look at my plants while you’re there?” He put his hand under his nose, closing his eyes and thinking for a moment. “I think I forgot to water them this morning.” He genuinely had forgotten if he did or did not.

“Here’s the key to my apartment and I have a map here in my notebook if you need it.” He handed over the things to her.

“I… generally hate asking other people for help because I don’t want to bother them. I’m sorry if it’s too much of me to ask. Please tell me if it is.”

 Austin Gomji

"Hmm." Austin placed a hand on his chin, showing a thoughtful gesture. Before him was a small boy who appeared somewhat paranoid by Austin's presence. He didn't know why Kohaku seemed so cautious, but then again it wasn't that surprising, considering the two were in a situation where.....where the boy was to be Austin's servant for a day. There were suggestions to hunt any mice or some other pests that happened to roam around the cowboy's home, which didn't sound bad at all. Kohaku certainly did give off the vibe that he was highly experienced in catching those troublesome critters. If anything, it was an attractive offer. Normally, Austin would easily be persuaded and go with what the other party had suggested, but things were different at the moment. Getting deeper into thought, he began to consider other chores he could possibly have the boy do.

"How about you help me with a new recipe?" His blue eyes shone hopefully under the warm tones emitted by the ceiling lights. "I've been meaning to find a new way to improve the flavor of my apple pies. I guess it'd be nice to have someone taste test them, y'know?" Austin smiled, content with the help he'd be getting. At last, he could finally have a taste tester! "..Sorry, I'm not used to the whole servant kind of stuff."He placed a hand on the side of his neck, slightly embarrassed about asking someone for a favor. "...Though it would be great if you could spend the day trying out my desserts. It'd help out a lot!"
