catalytic Well for starters, that is one seriously cute icon! I super adore your art. It's so rare to see traditional artists nowadays, and it always makes me so happy to know I'm not alone! I have to be completely honest and say that I'm not extremely familiar with you in the forums, but I'll still try crafting a thoughtful response nonetheless. based on what I've seen, you seem like a genuinely interesting person, so I want to help spread the love a bit!! ^^

that asides, I have to say that it's fairly neat that you're both a writer and an artist, and you appear to wield both fairly well! I usually see users lean more towards one or the other, so to see someone who's able to place focus on both with approximately equal magnitudes is always a unique sight. on a similar note, I admire the fact that you seem to embark poetry as part of your writing, as demonstrated through this and this piece; as a person who's naturally more oriented towards prose, I can't help but respect those who lean towards more nontraditional forms of writing (as afaik, prose is by far the most common writing genre on TH), and you're no exception. your poetry definitely has a cadence that I find memorable, and it really adds to the mystique surrounding your characters - with that selection of detail definitely being worthy of a chef's kiss (revealing just the right amount of information to attract a reader's attention but not so much that it reveals spoilers).

speaking of your characters... I think the first aspect to me that stood out about them is the sheer amount of variety... I'm talking about their designs, settings, and so forth. even if there are common elements between some of them (like them being humanoids in a type of magical realism setting) that I can consider part of your trademark, there's also just the fact that a lot of your characters are just... really unique?? like... even across different settings or within the same setting, I can tell them apart with ease. a lot of that is likely due to the care that you put into your characters, making sure that they're fleshed out and not just carbon copies of certain archetypes. I don't think I've seen them around here that often just yet, but... based on what their profiles have to offer and how varied they are, I can see them becoming pretty iconic to you in time!!

You have some pretty good OCs with very creative world building. It is also impressive that you are getting a degree in English to do what you want to aid in your hobbies (I have an associate's degree in Avionics as well as Software Development, only now going for Japanese like I wanted too).

my dude..... I don't think I've directly interacted with you in the forums that often just yet, but I can already tell that you're going to becoming an active contributor to keeping threads alive and well, and I always, always appreciate that. after all, there's no such thing as too much necromancers..... but that asides!! I love how your responses have that "short but sweet" component to them that I really appreciate. I enjoy reading long replies (and writing them wheeze), but it's still admirable seeing users who can engage others with just a paragraph or two - sometimes even less - and I think you exhibit that quality of conciseness quite well! I especially admire how you're able to pack thought into a few sentences or so; it's just... really neat to see as part of your writing style? this applies to both your OOC and IC replies, the latter of which I'll go over in the next paragraph.

the characters that you currently use in your IC replies are just?? so interesting?? there's a lot of variety in their lore and designs, but there's also that signature trait that makes me think "oh, this is Lord_Karoshi" whenever I see them around the forums. in this case, I think it's the amount of care that you put into meshing realistic and more fantasy-/sci-fi-based elements in a way that really stands out to me. for example, when I looked up Myra for the "kiss or diss" thread, I found myself quite intrigued by her chaotic neutral alignment and how it differed from the usual portrayal of characters of that alignment. I also found myself quite intrigued by her lore and how she came to be the type of individual whom she is, even though I'm not normally the type of person to get super invested in sci-fi settings. ik I say this a lot for other users, but I can't help but admire the amount of care that you put into making your characters unique and... well..... you..... it's always a trait that I can't help but appreciate whenever I see people around the forums, and you're honestly no exception to that. you're a creative and passionate person, and I can definitely see that being expressed through your characters and their lore.

all in all, though I'm not too familiar with you on the forums juuuuust yet, I still respect your presence on the forums, and I hope to see you around here more often in time!! ^^

jokes aside, the effort you put into keeping forum games interesting and alive is really admirable. your posts are always so thoughtful and in depth, and always make for a fascinating read. every time you've claimed my characters on the forums it's been an absolutely pleasure tbh? you always have such interesting takes on them and honestly have led me to some really solid ideas about them sparked by reading your responses. and the same effort clearly goes into your characters; I always love reading their profiles, there's clearly so much love and attention to detail there and it makes for a really enjoyable read. and you get bonus points for drifloon, because drifloon is perfect. overall, you're such an iconic and positive presence in the forum games and I love seeing you around on these threads.

Everytime I see you or speak to you you're always such a sweet and kind person. Your characters are super lovely and creative, and I love your aesthetic with them! (You know how much I love your robots.........) Your stories with them seem genuinely interesting, and I keep telling myself I should read through them more thorougly because I genuinely love what you have crafted for them so far. You're just such a pleasant person to be around! ;v;

(Also, your icon is.... well, iconic. I always know it's you when I see that lovely color palette and I'm always genuinely interested to see what you have to say in a thread. ;v; )

Ahhh Spookers, I've known you for only a week? Two weeks? But I feel like I've known you forever! You're such a breath of fresh air to Toyhouse, I swear! You've got this great and friendly attitude, whether in a forum game or just talking to people. You're like one of those cool kids that people are intimidated to talk to at first, but when they do it's so easy to make conversation and hang out. And you've been taking care of the community, like I saw in a few threads which, if it hadn't been for you I wouldn't have known about that issue at all.

Then there's your characters, I LOVE your characters! Each one, every single one, has such a cool design and personality? And I know that every individual character is cared for by you. They have information, or they're in the works of getting information. I know that if I see a character on your roster they're not going to be ignored. Then I see them in the forum games and? They completely pop to life! Your writing skills with them is phenomenal!

So all in all, I think you brought a great attitude into the community, which was much needed with the pandemic stressing everyone out, and I really admire you!

YOU. We've interacted fairly often here on the forum games, and I've always admired you for being a positive force to have around. You've put so much thought into your characters, and it shows both here and in their profiles. I've also always adored them, from those who are just simple men, to the characters who deal with more fantastical/supernatural elements, and even... even Smiley...

And, speaking of Smiley, I've been reading Happy Together in your literatures section, and so far I've really been enjoying what I've seen there! I've read up to chapter three, I think, and I now see I have more to go now that I went to go look back at it, so I'm gonna try to keep reading... very soon... I think I like the formatting of it the most, because it sort of jogs my brain. It's new, I guess, because you don't see very many centered lits on here-- at least not from what I've seen. Although the characters are also fun to learn about. I've said this sort of recently, too, but I enjoy horror / detective stories, which I feel like it fits into. :') I don't mean to go off, I feel like literature is something pretty underrated here on Boyhouse, so I love seeing people write because it's kind of like... finding a unicorn...

If I could watch a TV show of your stories/characters, I feel like that would be awesome, too. I feel like yours are halved into "works best for television" and "works best for literature", and that's a good thing to have going for them, in my opinion.

OVERALL, it's great to see people who are just so bright around these parts. You have a good head and a good heart. You're just... super pleasant to talk to ;_;

I think you're relatively new to the forum games from my experience, or at the very least, I've started seeing you around more recently, and honestly?? it's always a pleasure seeing new faces in the forum games, but you in particular stand out to me a lot. you put time and effort into making your responses, which - again - is something I'll always appreciate in the forum games and will always point out when the time is right. as someone who rambles a LOT, I admire people who can make succinct posts - short and sweet basically - and you're no exception. I also think that sweetness reflects in your personality, as from what I've seen, you seem like a lovely person to be around, and there's no such thing as too much positive energy in the forum games.

furthermore, can I just say that I absolutely adore your art and characters??? both have such a unique flair, and though I remember interacting with your characters exactly once, they honestly made a huge impression on me as I went through your gallery and read up on some of their profiles. I might've mentioned it before in that post, so I won't go too much into detail to avoid redundancy, but.... you don't hesitate to try a wide variety of tropes while still having a few common ones throughout your characters that allow other users, myself included, to say "oh, that's batpudding's character!" when they see them. your art also equally intrigues me, for it just has that simple but ultimately lovely and unique style. I admire how you stylize your characters and don't hesitate to experiment with colors and designs; I can recognize it at a glance as well, for the way you combine a relatively hard lineart with a softer coloring/shading is honestly quite stunning. it's an approach that I don't always see when going through Toyhouse for artists to consume content from, and y'know what... that's hella valid tbh.....

I'd love to see you around this subsection of the forums as time goes on tbh hhh- also, keep doing what you're doing, because the content that you're making rn is hella cool- :0c

I love seeing how your characters interact with mine, as well as the crack dynamics some of them formed on the way hhhh- also, funnily enough, I was actually inspired by you when it comes to referring to previous interactions on repeat sets! it was a detail I always appreciated but was a little shy about adopting when I first entered the forum games, but when I saw you do it, I was like "y'know.... why not" and started to go from there fjhdvgfvdsf-
