I cant file a chargeback, which is the problem. I had given her the benefit of the doubt and eventually waited too long. I was told to do a request for money from her and I never received anything. After that, that’s when I decided to speak up about what was going on. I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled by her, considering that I was kind enough to wait. At this point, the $95 I had given her was essentially stolen from me, there’s no getting it back, nor do I think there ever will be. This could have been handled very easily if she had taken the time to simply listen to my words and made good on the promise she had made. Instead it’s come down to this. I am not an all around mean individual, but when I am upset and have felt like I’ve been taken as a fool, you can expect that a positive reaction is not going to be given. I had emailed her almost a month ago and did not receive any reply. Forgive me if I seem rude, but truthfully I’ve had enough with this going back and forth routine.

My experiences with BoiMilk:
On December 7th I ordered a commission from BoiMilk for 50$. After 5 months of radio silence I asked for an update and BoiMilk offered a refund. I was hesitant because I really liked their art so I asked if how long did they think it would take for them to finish. I got zero response and so after a few weeks did a chargeback because the buyer protection was ending soon. All the screencaps of the conversation are here.
After a while I was curious and saw that their profile had a good amount of comments asking for an update and one person asking for a refund.
Yet instead of giving responses they've just made more adopts with extras you could pay for in the form of icons.

I truly hate that it has come to this point, but I have grown frustrated with the fact that I have been deceived for almost two years now. I do not enjoy that I have to make a journal about this, since I do not enjoy speaking negatively of anyone, but alas this is my last resort.
I do not want for anyone to go to this artist and harass them for this, I merely wanted to advise others since I do not know if I am the only one who has been dealing with this, but considering I have been kind enough for as long as I have.. I do not appreciate my kindness being take granted for.
I had made orders in the past with the user boimilk.. I was given a wip of one or my order, but it ended up being scrapped and left to be redesigned. We had made contact through discord and proceeded to chat through there about what it was we should do. We came to the conclusion that it’d be best to receive my money back, but each time I went to ask for money which was over a few months I was told that it was going to be given to me soon. When I had last messaged the artist we had made a decision on requesting the money back, which was made during May 22nd. Since then I have not yet received anything from them. Before I made contact with them on discord I had left a note to them that to this day has been left unread.

I've only just learnt of this thread, but I can't believe this. I ordered a custom from them from a post they made about their cat being sick years ago and they kept saying they'd "get to it" after every few months I asked for an update and then one day they just stopped. I'd went to find their account today to ask again but saw they were deactivated: my friend linked me here to see if it'd help and I'm honestly shocked at how many people they've screwed over. I had spent all my money at the time on the commission (having just started earning my own money), so to me it was a big investment sort of thing and I was extremely excited, enough to consider making the custom a sona if it came out correctly. I was so bummed the longer this went on and I am saddened others had to deal with this as well. unu
She has to know that people can't file chargebacks at this point...this is more or less another dodge, from the looks of it, to try and extend this even longer and calm people down. I'd guess the recent reply/activity has to do with her new accounts getting linked and her having to close them down.
She can look in her own paypal history for who to refund or if that's too difficult, can ask people for the e-mail they used and do a very easy search of transactions. This is a really pathetic excuse - trying to now blame paying people back on other people trying to scam her. You're the scammer.....you're the thief.
I have gotten a response from her. I do not know whether or not I will be receiving my money, but I hope she takes the time to learn from this and better herself as a person. I do not wish for her to receive any form of hate or threats. We all make mistakes and we learn from them, hopefully.
I don’t know if my bank would allow for such a thing considering it’s been over a year now. I could possibly try, but again I don’t know if they’ll allow it.
Update: I do believe that I am going to receive a refund now. Time will tell, I do hope that this is settled for both myself and those who have gone through this.
well im glad youre getting a refund hunny. however i still think if they really wanted to rectify her behavior, they wouldnt make getting a refund such a chore and account hopping. i agree with Milesian all of this is super sketch and is making getting a refund kind of hard for people. stilll, maybe theyre getting better?
I truly don't know if it will happen, but I am hoping that I will get my money back. I do agree with the fact that if this were more of a concern, it should've been handled immediately rather than avoiding the situation and running away. Problems like this can be serious and essentially lead to law enforcement getting involved. I don't understand why she chose to go about this situation in such a manner, but I do hope she can learn from her mistakes.
I'm pretty pissed about boimilk myself. They had been looking for collaborators to help them get art done, and at the time I was looking to make money because of a bad family situation. We only sold one of the adopts I worked on, and none of the others were ever posted. So I technically ended up doing quite a bit of work for free with 0 reward. Every time I got in touch with them on discord they said they had all sorts of things going on and I felt bad, so I stopped pushing about doing anything. I still have the copies of the files on my computer. This is unacceptable.
hunny im sorry, i had a feeling this would happen, from the situaiton mintjelly is dealing with (tbh id just post the adopts anyways if theyre going to be like that) , it seems like BoiMilk is full of empty promises. honestly their excuses are so hollow, at this point i wouldnt trust anything they say. could you maybe get in contact with your bank hunny? if you explain your situation to them you might get your money back.
Yeah.. I was the person in that screenshot complaining about the being owed since 2017.. and got offered a refund back in May that I never got. Definitely too late to do a charge back and my PP isn't tied to a bank account, so it's very much feeling like I'm just SOL. I'm furious that they deactivated just to keep dodging people.
smh, she's never going to refund anyone. I still didn't get shit from her, just a bunch of bullshit lies. All I know is that I shouldn't trust people so easily, her being one of them. I truly hope no one else orders from her, because this is just childish and downright unacceptable. Hopefully, people will now know not to give her money (hopefully).
