so i figure i should make a beware after finding out they have ghosted someone else on payment for adopts they see on the trade listing and ghosting them for about over a week with no explanation as to why they haven't sent payment other than saying they have been busy.
over a week ago they offered $50 on an adopt i had put up on the trade listings
after i accepted their offer and sent them my paypal link to pay, they never sent payment.
i waited 2 days before msging them again asking them if they were still interested since they never sent payment and they said they were !
again, they didnt send payment.

i saw them offering over $100 on other people's adopts while they still have not sent the payment for mine so i msg'd them again
(btw they didnt send this person the payment either and the person sold the character to someone else)
basically a very vague answer/explanation and STILL had not sent payment so i ended up putting the character back up for offers and letting them know
to which they never responded.
recently i found out they had ghosted ANOTHER person on payment so that's what made me feel i should let other's know so they can be weary of them

DM'd me showing they were also not sent payment
and were ghosting them even though they were online
so its safe to assume they could have been purposely ignoring them

here this person got ghosted on payment on a custom tht was part
of a closed species ( mignyans ) to where they had to let one
of the mods know just in case nyu tried to get the mignyan approved anyways
even though they never sent the payment
and a person who would like to remain anon wanted to add that even after this
nyu was still actively offering on high priced designs (they offered on a design they had for sale for $110)
though a bit after they sent me this screenshot nyu has made a bulletin saying they are taking a break to better themselves
(edit: which they haven't and still continue to make the same mistakes, please just be weary when accepting their offers as they still haven't proven themselves to be trustworthy with money)
currently accepted an AB from this user before i was made aware of this thread. i have given them 24 hours to send payment, otherwise i will be moving on. ill edit this comment with the outcome, but i hope for their sake (and my own! im poor as fuck!) that they make the right decision.

Webkinzkid yup, no payment. i moved onto the next bidder and edited my message above with some screenshots as proof. sad this is still going on
mvgn I'm so sorry you also had to go through that, but glad you were able to sell it to the next bidder! I still have my notes with them saved, so I'll be editing this comment with my own experience with them. They admit to being fully aware of what they're doing in them ( + me reprehending them aksjdbsks)
Edit: Here are the notes we exchanged where they acknowledge their behaviour after failing to reply to me so we could start the payment process. Messages should be read from the bottom up to the top!
I know its been at least 2 years. I took a $200 commission from them December 20th 2020 and was taken on a frustrating ride and never paid. I can add details and screenshots tomorrow if people think it would benefit the thread.
sukoshi this has been going on for AT LEAST over a year and funnily enough, they hid that bulletin for a while after initially making it for some reason? only to unhide it recently again :shrug: but i myself sent in a report ticket a bit ago cause its been bugging me the amount of ppl they keep messing with and i'd encourage other victims do that too tbf
MontBlanc and I'd encourage you to share urs, especially if it was from a commission ! I think one other person earlier on in the thread had mentioned they had an issue w them on a commission too :<
i think adding the stories though helps other victims keep an eye out &/or to know if theyre still keeping up w the same behavior
Okay so here's my experience with this user.
12/20/2020:
They posted in the Dainty Discord channel looking for a someone to turn their Sprinkit into a CB Dainty. We agreed on $190 on a payment plan for a ref sheet and I told them they didn't have to pay until they approved my sketch.

They contact me apologizing for the lack of contact and saying they want to scrap what I've done and do something else entirely. They apologize again and say they want to pay me as soon as possible because they feel bad. I asked if they would pay me for the work I had done so far and they said yes. I told them I couldn't work that weekend because of meetings. I was actually viewing houses because I was trying to move so I could have really used the commission money. That same day they change their mind again and ask for a redesign of an existing dainty instead.

Someone unrelated (purple in SC) posted their new Dainty in the discord and I immediately recognize it as the Dainty I'm redesigning for this commission. At this point I'm sure I no longer want to work with this person and just want to figure out if they traded the character before or after I asked for payment. Purple says they got the Dainty earlier that day, so after I asked for payment. I then contacted the original owner of the Dainty (green). Green had contacted me before asking if I owned the Dainty I had posted the wip of and I said no and pointed them in the right direction. When I explained my situation Green said that this was not the first time and they had changed the commission they got from them 4 or 5 times and to just be firm.
At this point I didn't expect to see any money anyway and didn't want to damage my mental health over it so I just didn't chase it further. I didn't post about it before I felt it was my fault for not continuing to chase it. But yeah I never got paid for the work I did.
MontBlanc I highly encourage you to contact the Dainty mods on the discord about this, with all the info & screenshots.
