while usually I don’t request people spread the word, the hackers are confirming this scam IS working, so if you could make a bulletin and link this thread, it might stop more people from falling for it. Remember to stay safe and educated.
keep an eye out for the PayPal name [email protected] - report this PayPal user. It’s the one constant across every hacked account.

Please be careful. I was bidding on a character and it seems that this user is making character profiles and responding IC to people in bids to try and scam them out of their money.
Report their PayPal if you can.
How the scam works
User in question makes a character profile with the avatar of the actual seller and their username. They will reply IC as the real seller to your comments.
I also got a strange dm from the user before any of this happened - titled “1” with the message just reading “1”. Gave me the creeps, so I’m changing my password.

Got another one. Impersonating as me. They use the capital "i" to replace the "l" in the real username.
Rofeal it’s a hacked account - the username used to be towobi. If anyone can find them offsite please alert them

goatsteeth it seems that this person commented on Rofeal's bulletin saying that they indeed got hacked and are trying to fix the problem, hope this situation stops happening since it's affecting a lot of people :(

the user 8ballz has stolen one of my characters and has been trying to impersonate me
theyve been stealing others ocs and claiming them as their own
they have privated most of them but others including mine are still up
I'm going to make announcement to people so the can beware of this paypal email since it's the same person keep doing this. I hope we be able to track this person down with this email.
If you know how to report a PayPal email, PLEASE START DOING SO. we can take this person down and possibly get people’s money back.
This person was also impersonating the art collaborative account "MrSneakers" using a dA account called "MrSneackers".

ps: becareful what font wyou switch to since some have l and 1 look identical which can be confusing!
