i decided to go and find where her art is from, because it looks like two different styles were used in the separate pieces on her profile. i assumed that their name was just the default on them and that they forgot to change it, so i didn’t make a big deal.
for her first piece (her icon,) i messaged @zerokero_art on instagram, because they have a pretty similar style. they very kindly did a search for me, and discovered that the character had even more pieces of art created by a completely different person, rinihimme.
after that, i messed rinihimme to ask them about the situation. they explained to me that the character in fact does belong to them, and that the person who sold her to me is in fact a scammer.
i’m very glad that i researched this, because otherwise i would’ve accidentally owned a character that wasn’t mine!
i’ve already filed a chargeback. if i don’t get my money, i’m escalating things to a claim. thanks for reading, and stay safe!

the piece mekuum made is also in cherryguromilk’s favorites. i’m almost positive that this account belongs to them

I recognize this character of theirs that they have themselves credited as the designer and artist. He was made by this user on Coin Adopts Amino, I'm one of the more active users on that Amino and I remember them selling him, though the comments seem to have been deleted so I'm not sure who bought him
That said I'm going to second iinasmuch that they seem to have a miscrediting problem along with the theft.
Hello I am the artist who drew out the succubus character for Cherryguromilk that iinasmuch mentioned. They didn't steal the character because the design is by them. I only drew out the character for them, but if you're wondering why they didn't mention me as the artist then it's about them forgetting to source me. I believe that Cherryguromilk had just forgotten since it's been a while ago that I have made it for them and I did ask them about it recently. They told me that they have a bad habit on remembering to put the sources. Also I would like to add some of the artists don't have a toy house, so people can forget to get the link of the artist's profile from another site. (at the time I didn't have a TH yet or I think I forgot to mention that I made the account already from the code they have given me in exchange for art of their oc) but I just wanted to clear that up and it's just a miscrediting problem.
(They have told me that they would change it later, but that's why I left my signature on the side just in case they forgot)

@author that made this post....would be nice if you updated it, showing i explained myself, haha, this post makes me look like a very shitty person. i am soooo sorry this happened to you, i really really heckin am. in a message i sent to the author of this post, regrading my kittens. they were healthy and happy at the time the money was stolen. (i had a friend help me pay off the bill, along side some commissions.) i give codes out all the time. give aways, random reddit posts, god, i even give them to discord and real life friends. i have tried to track back to the place i gave away that code, to find the user, but....i cant, i cant even remember what site it was on, because i was holding two give aways at the same time, and gave away over 7 codes. i am very happt the persons account got taken down, and as a person thats had adoptables of my own resold, or stolen, it sucks alot. i am super happy the author got their money back, and i hope they dont run into the same user again. please guys, keep me outa this.
