As the last few guests filtered into the visitor lobby of the Warehouse, excited to take part in the festivities, Dr. Callosum was unfortunately rather distracted.
...So much so that he didn't even notice the large, menacing crowd of Ware-like creatures gathering at the doors... until they burst through the glass all at once, quickly filtering inside!!
A shrill voice rang out over the chaos:Â
"RAID THE LAB, GRAB ALL THE RESEARCH YOU CAN, LEAVE NO TABLE UNTURNED!! And steal that candy while you're at it!"
In a shocking turn of events, the "WARE.OS-like monsters"Â rumored to have been haunting the streets of the Revolution District turned out to be real, and they've just crashed Dr. Callosum's Halloween Party!!
The strange creatures stole countless pieces of precious scientific research and left destruction and chaos in their wake, certainly ending the party with a bang (although not in the way that the attendees would have preferred). Just as quickly as they arrived, however, the creatures departed, the lab feeling just a bit emptier than before they arrived...
Dr. Callosum quickly called off the festivities in order to ensure the safety of the guests (and to painstakingly review the security cameras to find out just WHAT crashed his party and made off with priceless research...)
SHOP + NEW SUBSPECIES: TAMPER.UX!!!
A new subspecies of WARE.OS has been discovered!! The TAMPER.UX, or Tampered Wares, are a group of Wares whose technology has been hijacked, to frightening effect! With mysterious technology of an origin far more mischievous than the Warehouse, these creatures can bypass some design rules that their Callosum-approved counterparts cannot!
Traits can also be purchased in the form of discounted bundles of two or three known as DEFIANT MODIFICATIONS. Some traits are exclusive to special themed Defiant Mods, so it's worth it to check them out!!
TAMPER.UX are a closed subspecies! In order to make one or use their traits, you must purchase them from the shop with Suspicious Blueprints, a new currency gained by completing art/writing prompts! These prompts are designed to help you to develop your characters' stories and personalities, and to be rewarded for doing so!

Its eyes swim with error popups, but that hardly seems to bother this rough and tumble "WARE-wolf!"

Beware!! MEATWAREZ.OS has elements of horror, body horror, and mild cartoon gore! Continue at your own risk!!
The winds are getting chillier, the nights are getting longer, and all the trees are starting to turn just as orange as all the pumpkin-themed decor that now lines the streets. And that can mean only one thing!! Spooky season has arrived!! The MEATWAREZ.OS species has always had roots in horror themes, so of course the Halloween event is going to be our biggest update yet!! We've planned two halves of this event, and will be adding tons of new content and activities to the world over the course of the next month!!
For part one, there will be two story paths to take, two sides of a simultaneous storyline. Don't worry, you won't have to choose between them!! You'll be able to complete both paths at your own pace if desired! Associated with each prompt will also be several smaller goals, which can be completed to earn a slight boost in rewards.
Part One will run from 10/22 to 11/6, giving everyone two weeks to complete the activities we have in store before Part Two continues the plotline and adds.....
NEW CURRENCY? NEW SHOP?? NEW SUBSPECIES??!!!
With this event comes an entirely new addition to the Warehouse world!!
Completing event prompts will earn you a mysterious new species currency (Suspicious Blueprints) to be used in a special shop which will debut with the second half of this event!! We plan to expand the world with a new, closed subspecies, which you will be able to unlock via currency earned by completing event prompts!
Rest assured, the preexisting WARE.OS variants themselves will always
remain semi-open; they will never require MYO slots, nor will they ever cost any form of currency. We never intend to change the spirit of the species or limit your creativity! Â
Additionally, the new closed subspecies will NOT
be monetized, and will exist primarily as an additional reward for participating in events, fulfilling prompts, and developing your OCs! With the shop, we also plan to release items to convert preexisting WARE.OS into the new subspecies, so fret not! World members new and old will all have plenty of opportunities to get their hands on this soon-to-be-released addition to the world!!Â

In celebration of the season, The Warehouse is throwing a delightful, not frightful Halloween Party!! (Or should we say "Hallow-Ware Party"..?)Â You're formally invited to attend this special event!! There will be food, plenty of games, and tons of scary stories to share!! And don't forget to dress to impress with a scary cool costume!!
Speaking of scary stories... it's no secret that Dr. Callosum threw this party to distract the public from all the bad press he's gotten lately. He claims that the recent rumors of "mysterious, broken, monstrous WARE.OS" lookalikes roaming the streets and scaring people in alleyways are false, but... it wouldn't hurt to imagine, for the sake of a story!! Live a little, it's Halloween after all! If you can come up with the scariest story, the mascots might even tell you more about what they heard about those rumors!
HALLOW-WARE PARTY PROMPT:Â
Draw, or write a description of your WARE.OS, or one of the mascots, dressed up as one of the scary monsters spotted around the city!
Maybe even imagine what exactly this "scary monster"'s origins/motivations. Was it sent by aliens? Is it some sort of cryptid?? IS IT CARNITAS' LONG LOST EVIL TWIN???
It's just for a scary story, so feel free to break the species rules to make your spooky creation really pop!! Use your imagination!!
Drawings must be at least flat color/fullbody. Writing entries must be at least 250 words.

It's been ages since a proper Halloween Party has been thrown at the Warehouse, and after all the recent buzz in the news following the break-ins at the abandoned Sunhalo Facility, crowds have flocked to the Warehouse to see just what Dr. Callosum is up to to save his image⊠and perhaps to get a taste of the famous autumn apple pie he was known for back during his lab intern daysâŠ
However, some WARE.OS have chosen to skip on the festivities and take their time enjoying the classic Halloween experience: trick or treating!! Two longtime WARE.OS friends, Amend and Banish, are taking their time adventuring in search of all the best candy-giving houses!! On this quest to grab as much candy as possible, theyâre asking every household they visit: whatâs the best way to spend Halloween? Share your candy-collecting secrets!!
TRICKS AND TREATS PROMPT:
Draw or write about your WARE.OS preparing for the perfect Halloween! Are they dressing up and going out? Or are they handing out candy?
Are they making a haunted house of their own? Or staying in and watching scary movies, saving all the candy for themselves?
