Hello there! Welcome to the Winter 2023 MYO Event for The Caffae Café!

Firstly, just what are Caffaes and Decaffs?

Caffaes are brownie-like creatures that are born from coffee! Their unique traits are their bean halos, the grind dust on their wings, and their catalysts.
They have the unique ability to shift between inches tall to average human sizes at night, while their catalysts allow them to channel their abilities into magic, which allows them to clean more efficiently.
They will often mimic the cultures of their homeowners, both to better clean and to assimilate with the lives of their homeowners.
Meet our Caffae mascot, Maxim! Other NPC Caffaes include our shopkeeper Penny and our head of gambling Audrey. You can also see user-submitted Caffaes HERE.

There is a darker side to this species, though, and that is the existence of the subspecies Decaffs.
When a Caffae directly harms their homeowners or the invited guests of them, their bean halos are instead replaced by bean spikes.
With the contract between man and fae broken, Decaffs gain an assortment of visual traits that could stray into body horror. Extra eyes, limbs, and even seeping darkness have been sighted on these creatures.

What does this MYO event entail?

During the month of December, you are able to claim a free MYO of Rare or Super-Rare, with the option to add Legendary Traits!
When claiming a slot here, you can select one Event-Only trait below; additional slots purchased will normally have the additional Event-Only Trait randomized, so this slot is good for any plans you may already have.

Christmas Tree tail (visual trait): A tail with the potential for maximum customization, this is sure to make you the trendiest Caffae on the block!

Candled wings (visual trait): Some say that the hottest Caffaes have candles on their wings! Whether that's from the fire in close proximity or how cool they look, this trait is the key to both.

Snow (add-in): Complete your perfect winter brew with some snow added into your coffee. Great for chilly drinks!

Yule Log Pieces (add-in): This add-in really delivers the "Yule" in "Yuletide coffee"!

MYO Claim Period: December 2nd-January 1st
MYO Expiration: March 2nd, 2024

You can claim your free MYO slot in this thread, as well as claim your free first-time owner slot on either the Toyhouse World or within the Discord server. That's two Caffaes for you, for free!
However, do note that this thread's slot will expire on March 2nd. That gives you two months to finish your slot!

Being a member of the Discord server will also allow you to request an extension, if the two-three months isn't enough.
