Eatharyians are an ancient humanoid race hailing from a world of the same name- eatharyia- within the universe of Kito.

Biology

Overview

Physical features

Stature and Build: "Eatharyians share their height range with humans, but tend to be far more physically and mentally enduring. They can not only easily take hits that would render a human unconscious, but also remain functional for far longer. This remarkably perseverance far outclasses humans and sacarans* [*need to fix what examples I use here.], but is nothing when compared to the endurance of an Uktari."

Complexion: "Eatharyians possess the same skin tone range as humans, as their world of origin is diverse enough to allow such. Due to the passage of time and interbreeding, most display a light tan- tan complexion. [*A logical occurrence that may not fit with my own trends of character design.]"

Hair: "Their hair color range is very extensive, and can practically be whatever color is desired. Hair can also possess a natural two toned quality. Examples of the extent of range: Pink, black, brown, peach, dark red, green, silver, white."

Eyes: "Similarly to their hair, an Eatharyian’s eyes can range in colors, as well as posses a metallic, iridescent, or multi-toned aspect to them. Heterochromatic eyes are more common, though still rare. Examples to display some options: Copper, fluorescent green,  brown and green, green-blue iridescent, silver."

Physiology

Physical and Mental Endurance:

Telepathy: "Eatharyians have a rare chance to be telepathic, and their skill cap is roughly equivalent to humans; perhaps slightly below."

Genetic Abilities, empathetic links, and Magic: "It is impossible for an eatharyian to manipulate energy on their own, posses a genetic ability, or be a part of en empathetic link."

Intelligence: "On average eatharyians tend to be more intelligent than humans, likely due to the ability to distinguish patterns quickly and effectively. They also are somewhat better at pseudo-multitasking, though this boost is nothing in comparison to the likes of many Valgets.[*/Evles. Bone elves? They're all crazy half breeds….]"

Immune System: "They have a more effective immune system due to the hostility of viruses and the like on the planet of origin."

Alcohol Tolerance: Naturally low alcohol tolerance.

Other

Handedness: "The number of left handed individuals is more or less equal to the number of right handed individuals, and being ambidextrous is far more common than in humans."

Genetic Similarities: "Due to shenanigans* the genetic code of the eatharyians contains traces of many of the other races including: humans and their related offshoots [*Do this later] , onixars, sacarans, and pixies- though pixies display far less of this genetic similarity due to more shenanigans*."

Psychology and Behavior

Curiosity, Creativity, and Resourcefulness"Eatharyians possess a natural curiosity far greater than humans. This curiosity could be considered instinctive and universal, though the amount of curiosity in an individual can vary." These traits are all intertwined and play well with one another, but curiosity is the main culprit.

Curiosity: Eatharyians are naturally curious, often to the point where the otherwise positive trait becomes something of a vice.

They will ask frequent questions-often unimportant or trivial-, instinctively mess with stuff around them, and occasionally do something stupid twice just to see what might happen.

This over-curiosity can occasionally be inaccurately seen by outsiders as some sort of attention issue on the part of the eatharyian, as it will often manifest itself in quickly shifting thought processes-thoughts quickly abandoned to ask or ponder other questions- and unnecessarily thorough or predictable investigations of objects or environments. The cultural line between acceptable curiosity and something that could actually be problematic for the individual differs wildly.

Desire for Control: "They also have a tendency to desire control and understanding over and of their environment, though this is less prevalent than their curiosity."

 Author's notes

  • They are maintained by Myota.
  • Tips on playing an average eatharyian:
    • They are naturally very curious: they will ask frequent questions-often unimportant or trivial-, instinctively mess with stuff around them, and occasionally do something stupid twice just to see what might happen.
      • This curiosity leads to them being surprisingly resourceful and a little bit nosy.
    • Eatharians are often uneasy when in a situation in which they have little to no understanding or control, though naturally, this varies by individual.
    • They are a hearty race, able to function despite sustaining a good deal of damage. This combined with their just barely sub-human levels of stubbornness lead to many eatharyians simply not staying down, to the frustrations or everyone else stuck with dealing with them.
  • Eryx is the sole reason that eatharyians ended up having a low alcohol tolerance.
