@fluffynap currently no feature exists to change a full character into a tab (I wish it did though!)

Instead of reuploading all the art, what I do is add the tab as a character in the image and thrn delete the original character. Still time consuming but slightly less than reuploading entirely.

What awesome items on that todo list! Ooo, I'd love all of them! Except toggleable everything. That sounds like such a super hassle for the coders of the site. xD Good thing I'm a premium member... Y'all better be getting paid well. This site is beautiful and packed with features, so I hope it's very successful for the whole crew!

I don't know if this is the right place to put a suggestion but making a way to automatically sort images by date would be AMAZING. I have a character gallery who accidentally got messed up months ago when I was transfering images between tabs and I really don't want to go through hundreds of images and manually figure out how they should be ordered based on date. |3c

coldioc you aren't going crazy, we don't have any way to auto sort images other than the most recent image being placed into their gallery at the front or manually moving.

Having sort options would be p cool tbh 🤔

I also have a suggestion. How about adding the search bar? It will be different tabs for art and characters. It's just that now we only have stuff like "popular", "recent" or "random", but what if I just want to find a character, but I don't know the name of the profile. It will be so much easier.

DASH there is a search feature (scroll down to the bottom of any page) that lets you by tag, designer, or keywords. It doesn't allow you to search artworks though

this thread was make almost a year ago, when shall we expect to see some site updates?

jev - this thread is constantly being added to and updates are made semi-regularly. Nonstop's Update Thread shows a list of updated features that has been added over time so they aren't doing nothing... They're just slow at it.

They have fixed a lot of tab bugs, as well as confirmation buttons prior to deletion, along with other QoL features (updating watchers that you've updated a character and even being able to list a reason to name a few).

_featherweather I noticed these updates and I was confused why they weren't in the Announcements Forum, if I recall correctly they used to always announce what site updates they made but this time they didn't???

jev honestly I don't know why they didn't announce these new features because that would have been nice. I found a lot of them by chance :/ 

Hello thread, since it's been a while I'll be quoting your comments so you guys have an idea what I'm responding too. Sorry for the delay!

i would reeeeally like to see a "request artist credit" button on art pieces whether they're already credited or not -- and then maybe you have an option to link your own th or input a specific link, the owner of the character gets notified of course and has a chance to approve/deny in the case someone decides to mess around and credits themselves for random art for whatever reason

there's people here that have uploaded my art n despite clearly asking haven't credited my toyhou.se and there's one or two who have just.. not credited me at ALL. ((not in a malicious/intentional way they've just.. forgotten to update despite asking a few times)) and i would really like to change that! it would also help with unknown credits too, if you see one you drew you can add to it ((ALSO would be cool if you could attach a message to the credit request so if you know a credit that's unknown but you didn't do it you can specify that but leave a link to the artist!))

MaiCometShard I can tell you that this has been something we've been working on for a while but the major problem we're trying to figure out how to deal with it is how to "verify" artists so to speak.

Imagine that you're the artist that drew a piece. You request credit from the user who commissioned and uploaded that piece to this site. But then for whatever reason someone with an account name similar to your online handle also requests credit and the commissioner OKs the wrong person.

That's just one example but basically, we're trying to figure out a way to make sure that we don't run into these kinds of problems.

also maybe a page to see all art done of your ocs? just like the "art" page that shows all the art I've done - one to show all the art that includes any of my ocs!

For art categorization on character pages we are working on something that will help you highlight certain art pieces. The intention was to highlight references but it'll probably end up being fairly flexible and could be used to achieve the situation you described I think.

It's probably been suggested before, but increasing the character limit on folders would be fantastic. 20 characters just feels way too short, and I have to resort to either chopping up my folder names or smashing words together. Maybe that's the limit because any bigger would stretch out the folder button's box too much, but I'm sure something could be done about it without making them look ugly and remaining uniform in shape.

TheLadyAnatola Did you ask about this before? Because I feel like I gave this answer to someone before and I'm really sorry if I'm just repeating this information... I wish I had better news to tell you. : ( Unfortunately it probably won't happen unless we overhaul frontend (unlikely at this point). Our frontender said that there's no decent looking way to do it.

What is the point of having WYSIWYG mode if it just... kills custom formating/coding? 

_featherweather We didn't code the WYSIWG base code! So unfortunately the answer is "thats just the way it is". The slightly longer answer is the WYSIWG is one system for inputing text and HTML, and the other HTML coding is a seperate system we added for coders so they actually 100% cross-compatible because they weren't built together.

I know its a pain, but I think our current WYSIWYG is a lot better than alpha TH so I think that's here to stay. Sorry for the trouble it causes. : (

I can't wait for literature submissions! I'm always looking for writers and it would make things so much more interesting

No idea if it has been suggested before but a possibility to turn existing characters into tabs? In my early days of TH I never realized Tabs were a feature and some of my characters have multiple AU's with a ton of art, posted as separate characters, which I'd love to sort properly. Reuploading +60 pics all over again is like a nightmare @ v@

destructopop Thank you for the support! We don't actually make any money off TH. The money generated from Premium Membership goes into the server upkeep and any overflow we're lucky to have goes straight into the server-upgrade piggy bank. We have no intention of turning a profit of TH and are just grateful we no longer pay server costs out of our own pocket!

And toggleables actually aren't that much of a hassle in that they represent QoL updates that would benefit everyone. We're glad to do them even if things happen slowly.

@_feathereather jev The reason you guys don't get a feature updated announcement is because, to paraphrase lulu: those are small updates and announcements should be for major things because it automatically sends out a notice to everyone and thats kinda annoying.

No pings sorry about that! These are popularly requested features that we've already spoken about multiple times and basically - we're working towards them but they are sticky features that require a lot of work and also troubleshooting.

Any chance we could get a ballpark, hopefull date for lit submissions?

(I actually want to use them for "more info", really... I was going to use tabs, but when I click "IC" in a thread and have to swim through all my characters AND all their tabs, it's a nightmare. So maybe a "show characters" and "show characters & tabs" toggle in the IC thing would be a possibility? Either that or lit submissions... idc what comes first, I just want a place to put all the extra crap info that nobody but me cares about xD )
