Astrid
Some of Astrid's tension left her shoulders as Nigel assured her he was fine. Her years in the Sunless Jungle had not only made her hypervigilant and wary of everyone - she'd become rough and downright feral. Even though she did her best to smooth down her hard edges, it was a long run she had yet to achieve. Still, she nodded in a quiet thank you for the kind reassurance.
When Nigel mentioned the Wights, Astrid followed his gaze. She'd almost forgotten about it. There was no more long, creepy hands against the window ; only moonshine which lit floating specks of dust. Astrid grabbed the book still laying on the ground and, after one last drop of nostalgia thinking about Erast, she placed it back on the small shrine.
"We could leave then - unless you want to stay for the night, I think we're allowed to take shelter. I usually travel at night to avoid witchfinders and hum... Because I'm most powerful then, if I ever have to fight. But I don't mind waiting tomorrow if you'd rather. I'm good eiher way, magic or not."
Astrid dared to wear a cocky smirk at that. She did love a good combat after all, she was born for it. Risking being caught by the Order though ? Not as much. She focused back on Nigel, noticed his split eyes as she did so.
"I'm led to Erast to visit family, but I'll probably stop by Faline after that. I have to... make amends," Astrid winced at that. That was one way of saying I cheated in illegal fights and should own up to my bullshit. "What about you ?"
