Chapter 1

"Oh gods, we're almost there!" - exclaimed Tyrique happily. The three flitz have been travelling for almost three days just so one of them, their youngest, could prove that what they called The Cave of Treasure really existed. It wasn't his first quest with the other two flitz, but it was the first one that he could choose the objective of. And of course, he chose something that could benefit him both in ways of bringing home something valuable and proving that his insticts in navigation are in fact quite useful.

Dindel scoffed. "And there he goes again..."
The eldest of the three, though only with a year or two, never liked the idea of going after things that had no concrete proof of being true; he just doesn't want to waste effort on things that don't exist.

"Come on now, Din'. Give the kid a break."- said Cigryd after a sigh, -"It might just turn out to be real in the end! And then, we can take home all that sweet treasure too."
Cigryd, the songfilch with an endless supply of support and tales of good and bad times, just couldn't let his friend bother the kid. Sure, Dindel may be right about the cave not actually existing, but they promised him he could choose the next destination, and the time for that has come.

"Yeah, real, like all the things you sing about."

Cigryd stopped for a second and made a motion like he was deeply hurt by the words of his brother.

"Well, I can assure you, dear Dindel," - said he in a dramatically hurt voice, -"that the stories I tell are as real as the queen's dear long dead dad."

"That... made no sense."

"But it sounded good, right?"

Too caught up in their bickering, the two failed to notice Tyrique in front of them, who had stopped and was staring at something in front of him, resulting in the two bumping into their youngest friend.
The flit flashed a smile almost as bright as his sparkling mane. "We're here! This has to be the cave! I can feel it!"
The other two finally looked at the place Tyrique was talking about.
The cave was nothing more than an ordinary cave carved into the side of a hill on the outside. Some vines from a huge tree on top of the hill grew over the entrance, making it perfectly hidden from those who just happen to pass by.
Even Cigryd became a bit more unsure about this whole thing now.

"Ty,"- he started, -"are you sure that this is THE cave? It... sort of looks like... an ordinary cave, you know."

"I'm pretty sure it is, yes!" the excitement of the flit was undeniable, tapping his foot like a child who just can't wait to arrive at a playground. "Well, what are we waiting for? There's only one way to know the truth, right?" And with that, Tyrique lighted his lamp and set off, squeezing himself through the vines and disappeared into the darkness of the supposed Cave of Treasures. He reappeared a moment later at the entrance again though, and shouted back at the other two: "Why are you two still standing there? Come on, come on, let's go!"

Dindel sighed. "The kid's going to get himself killed one day."
