Introduction

Lycans (New Feronite: el-Lyosi, Drakine: Koushitairo; lit. Prana-Wolf, Scientific: F. lyocis) are a species within genus Fyrocinus comprising sapient, bipedal canines and other canids, and one of the four known native races endemic to Ferona (with the others being Felidi, Ithzon and Thenast). Individuals range in phenotype and morphology widely, from those resembling a common grey wolf, to far more exotic and naturally-impossible morphs such as the golden wolf (a golden-pelted variant of the standard red wolf) as well as standard varieties with unnatural underlying skin colors (such as what has colloquially been termed the ambassador wolf; a blue-skinned variant of the arctic wolf of which only one is currently known to exist), though these variants are more often categorised under their base morphs.
