Tidepool Treasures (MYO-Painted-Satyr-027)
The waves softly crashed onto the sand and rolled up the shore. Sand castles and beach towels of the past were long gone from days gone by since the summer festivities had ended seasons ago.
Still, Irukandji stood nearby in the tidepools while the water rolled up and down on the beach. Ankle-deep, they began to forage around for whatever useful things they could find. Creatures, treasures… anything that might prove helpful or worth a pretty penny was on the radar.
Sea urchins… that was a good find. The uni would taste amazing.
In the bucket they went, spines slowly shifting in circles.
Crabs! The little arthropods would make for a great feast - that is, if there ended up being enough of them around. Maybe a lobster wouldn’t be so bad either…
A sudden glimmer under the ripples caught the painted satyr’s eye as they reached down into the water. When they pulled the item out, they found themself to be staring at a golden bracelet with expensive looking stones embellished into the sides.
Surely an item like that would be the biggest find of the day!
Happy with their finds, Irukandji grabbed the bucket full of sea creatures and their bag littered with a few treasures before they headed back home, an empty stomach on the mind.
