Following PHB's idea of doing a daily writing challenge (Located here: https://toyhou.se/~literature/22011.daily-scraps) , I figured it would be a way to get me more writing practice while simultaneously getting comfortable with actually sharing my writing with people. So basically I'm going to to my best to write a paragraph or two with a random prompt using a randomly selected emotion and character every day.

6-9-19 Crowl - Content

It was getting late in the evening, (or rather early morning as it was now past midnight) after closing the Nameless Saloon's bar for the night, and Crowl had one last thing to check up on before he retired to his chambers. As he got to the end of the hallway and reached the door, the person he had been intending to check up on had rushed around the opposite corner. V stopped short when she met the gaze of the unsettling Lupaux, her heart jumping into her throat knowing that she was barely making it back in time for her curfew.

“Hmmm...? This is late for you V, what are you up to?” Crowl questioned, raising his eyebrows at the anxious Allura as she moved closer to the door.

“N-nothing...” She answered hesitantly, turning her own brows up at him. “I.. Just wanted a bit more time out of my room today.” She was lying, as she had been meeting with her new Vehema friend, but she wasn't going to tell him that.

Crowl didn't respond but merely stared at her for a moment, causing her unease to grow by the millisecond  as he noticed the new adornment around her neck. He slipped his claws under her chin to lift it up and admire the orange bow she was now wearing. “Now where did this come from, my girl?”

She locked up for a moment between being touched and desperately trying to find a lie so he wouldn't know she had a new friend that was giving her gifts.

“A-a customer left it...” She started. “ I really liked it, so I thought... it wouldn't hurt to keep.”

“I suppose it does suit you...” He turned her head with his fingers to look at her at a couple of different angles, then let her go. She tried not to sigh in relief. “It adds a new flair of charm to you.” His lips twisted up in that grin that she hated and he opened the door to shoo her into her room. “Now go to bed my dear, it's late and you need to get your beauty sleep.” He winked at her before ushering her in and closing and locking the door behind her. He twirled the keyring on his finger as he walked down the hall, content at the exchange and the rest of the day's work.
