You Know Too Much

Eri: There wasn't much interesting going on these last few days at the Watering Hole. Persha sighed as she watched the ice melt on her side making an annoying dripping noise, it was very hot these days which was rare to feel in these icy lands....

The tigress took advantage of the small movement to clean some containers where she kept the herbs and the blood of the animals with which she made her drinks.

She was officially bored with the current situation. "This looks like it's going to be a long day... I can't wait to go home." She thought with irritation.

Soon after, she heard some footsteps approaching. "A customer! Finally something interesting to do!" She then stopped what she was doing and turned towards the cat with a huge smile on her face.

PeppaNova: The heat never used to bother him so much, but now that he had a full set of hair on top of his head and neck, he found everything much more annoying. How they were getting a heatwave in the freaking ice caps of cliffs edge he would never know. The constant dampness as well made it hard to sneak around well. He had to take longer to do anything to make sure he wouldn't slip.

Seriously, screw the weather.

He had managed to at least catch a rabbit, quickly eating it down. But now he was tired and warm. He needed to cool off.

So he made his way to the watering hole, to cool off. He didn't expect to see a white tiger running towards him at full speed screaming about a customer.

"A what?" Novak raised an eye brow at her, unsure of her. "A drink? What?"

Eri: Oh no. This one was stupid. Or at least misinformed. She thought as she watched the newcomer. The tigress had not yet interacted with this one, that was for sure.

A drink, my dear! A liquid other than water to brighten your day and refresh your tired body. I'm Persha, the Watering Hole Tender, serving drinks here is my job.

She introduced herself as she pointed to the containers where she kept her ingredients theatrically ending with a wink.

And....You are? What's your name? she said as she moved her striped tail softly.

PeppaNova: Novak looked skeptical. A liquid. . . that wasn't water? Get real. That wasn't something her trusted at all.

"Water will be just fine, thanks" He grumbled, making his way down to tge watering hole, lapping up the water. It was cool from the ice, But you could tell it was going to heat up soon.

Persha the water hole tender? He'd never heard about her. He hadn't ever seen her around the place either, and he was sure he'd remember someone as pushy as her. He looked to where the containers were, an unamused look on his face, before turning back to her. "Why do you need to know?"

Eri: Persha was quiet just watching him with a look of disappointment as she gave room for the lion to pass. "As you wish. Water is still free, at least for the time being..." What an annoying prude, she thought.

"Why? Well, I don't charge a high price for my services, however nothing good in this world can be free, right?" The tigress said as she gave a smile. "My price is information. False or true, this can always be checked later." She said with a sinister glint in her icy blue eyes.

"BUT!" She said clapping her paws abruptly. "No information. No drinks. That's the rule." The tigress continued with an air of casualness.

"If one day you would like to know the drinks that the adults consume around here... come back and talk to me. I'll be happy to hear anything."

PeppaNova: "Making others pay for water is only going to make them steal from you, or find a better water hole to drink from" Novak grumbled. What an annoying female. He may have to try and steer clear from this watering hole now, which only dampened his expression.

He stared at her as she went on her ramble about how things couldn't be free in life. Duh, he was a bandit. he already knew that part. And she was after information? Pah. That was also something he couldn't give her. The only cat he knew around here was Elsi, and even she still had secrets he didn't know of yet. not like he pried or anything. Novak just wasn't like that.

the glint in her eyes made him somewhat nervous, squinting his eyes slightly. Just what kind of information did she want? Was she looking for something in particular? was she on the townies side, trying to find information on where bandits went most frequently. If that were the case, she'd get no information from him.

His eyes wandered to the bottles behind her, squinting more. just what were they? They obviously weren't water.

"Your drinks. what do they do?"

Eri: Persha sighed irritably "Water is free. Don't compare my drinks to water boy." She said as she stared at him intently with her icy blue eyes.

I hate these young cats who think they know everything. She thought.

The tigress's tail swung from side to side. "I'm not stupid, I know that very well, they could steal my ingredients if they had the guts, but they would continue without the drinks. After all, the only one who knows how to make them is me."

The white tiger was about to leave when she caught the young lion's sudden curiosity. "Oh NOW are you interested?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Well. Depends on the drink. Some have a calming effect, others leave you energetic and refreshed. Each one has a different taste." She said casually. "Let me know if you ever want to try them. Or you can keep drinking water... Anyway, you're free to do whatever you want."

She said turning her back to the lion showing indifference. "Good luck.... Novak." The tigress said with a cruel smile, purposely emphasizing his name, which she already knew before he told her.

PeppaNova: Novak's lip curled back a bit as he grumbled, furrowing his brow at Persha.

Seriously, What a strange female.

He gave her the time of day, however. Listening to her prattle on about drinks. So, She wasn't scared because she was the only one who could make drinks? Could that be true? Surely not. There would have to be someone else. If she died, they'd have to replace her quickly, right? Surely that's the way these things are.

He was thinking through the drinks, Before the sound of his name coming out of her lips made him tense. The hair on the back of his neck raised up, as he bared his fangs.

"How the HELL do you know my name?!"

Eri: "Hey, calm down." She laughed.

Persha placed one of her fingers over her own lips in order to try to look innocent. "Hm. Let's say I have a lot of friends. Friends talk about things. Especially when they're drunk. And that's all." The tigress said with a strange gleam in her eyes. "I just listen and pour my drinks. No judgments involved."

The tigress yawned "I know all the faces and names that frequent this godforsaken icy place, honey. Don't worry, you're not a special case." Persha said as she casually looked at her own sharp claws.

"It's part of my job."
