★ [Seth] Morrow Manor

Craning his neck up, Sylas may have spent most of his life in a tower, but he hadn't even seen a place quite as grand as this. Admittedly he had his doubts prior that this Seth person was able to supply a lifetime's worth of new books for him to delve into. The more he saw of this property the more he came to believe however. Maybe this wouldn't be a huge waste of time.

Passing by a beautiful garden that would make for excellent experimental potions, hopefully he'd be given permission to wander as he pleased. Admittedly Sylas had been eying that first book that was offered next to the signing papers. For one reason or another, it seemed the master of the household was most interested in a willing slave, not just some pretty fairy that didn't want to be there. Which made sense he supposed, with the promise of rare and exotic books, the magical being wouldn't be likely to attempt escaping.

With emphasis on the pretty, mind you. Not that Sylas cared, as long as he got paid properly he didn't mind being some old person's trophy husband. He had an endless lifespan to enjoy living off of someone else's high life. "What was the master's name again?" He questioned what seemed to be an older butler that was leading him through those wide double doors.

“Seth, the master’s name is Seth. Try to act behaved with him. He is... reckless at times.” The older gentleman told the much younger slave as he sat across from him. Looking out the window as well as they approached the gates again.

This entire ordeal did leave him nervous, the last servant Seth received was taken away from him as he grew fond. But this was many years ago now, the young master has since then moved on and became more independent from his parents after growing bitter. Still full of hate at his father for many more reasons than that.

The castle was currently busy though, making everything perfect for their arriving guest that may become a permanent resident to the manor. Gardeners were trimming rose bushes and arranging other flowers to look lovely aside one another, guards were making sure their uniforms were orderly and in pristine conditions, maids running around washing clothes and walls, butlers helping cooks in the kitchen. It was a beautiful chaos for them.

“Welcome, to Morrow Manor. The Master will be most pleased with your arrival.”

Leaning on the arm of the throne chair, Seth was letting his single eye read over the text in the book. It was one of those novels about a young madam who wanted nothing more than to be whisked away into the arms of her true beloved. Adored until the end of her days, or maybe a week later. These sorts of novels weren’t realistic but with it being a gift from one of the older maids he wasn’t about to make her feel as if he didn’t appreciate it. Once it was read he’d put it into the library of other books. Hearing a guard call that the carriage had arrived, Seth nodded as one of the other butlers came to collect him.

This one was not older and well adored like his more favored butler was. BUt he was raised alongside him, and though often he made mistakes he understood he really did try his best and never would betray him like many others were.

“Is the bath ready Johnathon?”

“Y-yes sir! Very hot with bubbles in it just how you like it.” Nodding, Seth was off. “Make sure to question the new darling, and don't get smitten with him. I heard he’s very pretty~” Giving that smirk, the dark haired male nodded, feeling a bit more nervous now that he knew one of the guests was a pretty one.

Humming, Sylas blinked for a moment before looking back at Simon. "That's rather gay of him," Granted, he should've paid more attention to the contract and actually read it instead of the back of that book clutched to is chest, but it was too tempting.

"But of course, I'll be the perfect partner for my future husband," He didn't want to lose his new book or future collection of course. Even if he might have to dress up now and then, or even perform some magic spells for a party, Sylas had a small obsession over the grimoires filled with so much ancient magic. "Thank you, I can't wait to meet them as well."

Taking what time he could as they walked through the main entrance, the young fairy couldn't help but be even more impressed with the inside of the mansion. Castle? It was perhaps a castle. If he were lucky, the books might even be stored up in a tower where he could hide away from the world, just like the old days with his master. A bunk bed all he knew from his youth, he wondered if he could get away with such a request if there were actually a tower.
