Snacks For Rosalie

As the time flew by for the pair of riders who were still learning their new place called home, it had been a week total now since Malphas had arrived at the theater that needed so much love and attention no one else but him wanted to try. With rumours of a haunting he now thought as cute and just annoying at times, the demon had his work cut out for him well before he even arrived. Malphas had done quite a lot in his short time there, the building needed more TLC but he had started and the work in progress was progressing steadily. The peeling wall paper was all removed from the walls that were left barren. The hall swept clean and entire building dusted after a new air system was installed, walls torn down that were too decayed to stay, floors replaces and covered to keep their beauty hidden from the world, and the kitchen was complete renovated and replaced with working appliances and pipes so that he could actually cook for himself while here.

With so much more to do, he was currently having a rest and reading up on how to build walls while he was feeding treats to Rosalie. One of his newer companions who was found and kept safe and sound from his other housemate who was at times a pain. Purring away as she nibbles on the jerky, she would wait once she was done and give Mal the biggest of puppy dog eyes until he’d dig into the bag and give her another. Chattering away at the rabbit who didn’t talk but was more than happy to listen.

"Okay, okay, but let's say if I wanted to find one bigger than my head?" Roaming around town outside, Zeph was currently taking a human form. Complete with shirt and pants, he was wearing actual clothes that he had examined other people wearing, but he had yet to learn that shoes were not feet. Therefore, the 'shoes' he were wearing were an actual part of his body. There was a rather lacking amount of underwear as well, but that part didn't exactly matter as much. It made the voice snort when he was 'dressing up' but Zeph didn't understand the why behind it.

Searching out the biggest carrot he could find, the mission was a lot more difficult than he first imagined. It took hours of searching around until he actually found a farmer with an award winning carrot from the fair. They weren't exactly willing to let go of the head sized carrot, but the voice had the marvelous idea of simply grabbing it and running.

A short chase through the alleys later and it turned out to be a great idea! Thank goodness his body wasn't actually living even if it was made to look like it, he still didn't get tired in the physical sense. Zeph did sort of want to find somewhere to hibernate for a quick nap however. Something he'd have to hold off as he ran over to offer the carrot to Rose. "Look! I brought you something extra special to celebrate all our hard work!"

“I think next we should work on the stage, it’ll be the biggest project and from there it should be easy going. Though getting the basement fixed up would also be nice...” Still talking outloud to himself, Rosalie was more than happy to just close her eyes and rest once she had her fill of snacks. Mal was left wondering where in the world has Zeph run off too but he left the shade to his own device most of the time and only sometimes called for him to come out to sit and keep him company or watch a movie with him.

Flicking to the next page on his phone screen, he was wondering if he should maybe look up how to keep shades contained when a familiar voice came calling through the halls. Perking up at the shouting, Rosalie was back to her feet and out of her loaf form by the time the human Zeph had returned. Not looking anything like the shade version of himself, Mal stared at the voice that came from the body and then looked over the male as he wondered was this his cute little shade.

“Zeph?” He questioned. For once, Rosalie was the more curious of the pair that went to investigate. She wanted that delicious carrot that was currently held a little out of her reach. “You look.... A bit odd I must say.” Stretching out, Mal wiggled his toes as he set his phone down. Questions of where did he get the carrot from ran through his head, but he learned long ago it was best not to ask questions he may not like the answer to. “Well, come sit I guess. There is room on my bed.”

Rosalie followed after, waiting for the carrot to be offered to her as she followed and gave her happy purs once it was rewarded. It would be enough to fill her up until late dinner time. SItting around in the quiet, Mal hummed away as he spent time with the human shade, leaving Rosa to enjoy her meal that was probably stolen from a human in town. Even if he knew the answer, Mal left it a mystery for himself.
