Rosalie's Siblings

Arms wrapped around his brand new possession, Zeph was enjoying wiggling his new toes on the couch. Feeling a strange pull outside of town, he had wandered off on his own again. Heading after on his instincts as usual, they brought him to a rather strange little wagon. Strange.. odd.. and weirdly familiar. 'It's the home of that incubus you first met waking back up.' Letting out a long ooooooh Zeph suddenly recalled their first meeting. Such a nice fellow!

It looked like they weren't home today though. Or at least weren't home yet as he phased in and through the house. What he wanted was definitely there though, something he actually found when exploring the bad to find a mountain of eggs. Two in particular were calling him. One that was absolutely his, another that wasn't quite his. Without a second thought, he grabbed both of them.

An action that soon found himself back on the couch where he had his new toes. Mal's had fascinated him, not having such things in his shade form. After about half an hour of playing with them, he had a pair of his own to wiggle around! Hopefully Mal would be back from that shower thing he was doing too. Zeph really liked to go out on short adventures when they were, since the voice in  his head often told him he wasn't allowed to play in the water with Mal.

“Darling, you can’t keep pulling back the curtains. You’ll get the floors all wet.” Mal told the dragon as she stuck her head into the shower again, staring at the darker skinned male as he showered.

Still not on talking terms, all he got was a damp dragon head with big eyes and a wiggling nose. Leaving him just sighing as he pushed her back out and shooed her off. Zeph had to be home by now, he could keep her preoccupied for a moment as he finished rinsing off and then getting dressed. Only a few more minutes after the rabbit dragon was herded out of the bathroom did Mal come out, skin still glistening from the dampness as he exited into his room that was one of the more fancy dressing rooms. It still needed more work but currently he was just working out how to set up his life and had given into inviting some of his friends to come help him with the work as it was easy and cheap labor.

“What do you got there Zeph? Did you find some eggs you want to eat?” He asked, noticing the eggs before his eyes even set on them. It was like he just knew there was at least a single egg there, figuring there was two as Zeh did try so hard to bring him something if he got himself something. He was cute like that, like an undead puppy.

Leaving the pair of eggs together on the couch, Zeph turned to lean his arms on the back of the couch. Rose had come along just in time for him to introduce her to their two brand new eggos! "This is thing one, and this is thing two," he smiled at her, holding up one than the other. "They're just temporary names. The voice says they need real ones, so we'll figure it out when they hatch what they really are." Used to having a one sided conversation, there was no rabbit voice in his head, but that didn't mean he couldn't make one up.

'Please don't make up anything else in here,' the evil side pleaded in what could only be described as a sarcastic tone. "Don't worry, you're still the only disembodied voice for me~" he smiled, but inside the other one simply replied with, 'that's pretty gay,' going in and out of that resting state as the boredom was starting to kick in.

Just in time at least! As Mal soon emerged to apparently entertain the both of them now. Zepher taking over just briefly enough to make a cat call at the demon. It was brief and quick enough that Zeph simply shook his head and waved Mal to hurry over, perhaps a bit of a misunderstanding with the action together, but he wanted them to see the second egg he had brought for them. "I don't think they're for eating but they're definitely eggs! I even got one for you!" Look at them with big eyes, he was clearly expecting some sort of praise for his thievery. Maybe a reward if he was lucky.

Still drying his hair as he came out, he paused as he heard the whistle, going towards Zeph before he even waved him up and was staring at the boy for a moment before remembering the much lewder side that may have taken over just for a moment to confuse him. Well, at least both were happy to see him for once? Tossing the towel off to the side to bask the shirtless glory as he dried, he wiggled up close to the egg he felt a connection to and stroked him. Already loving it even if it was just a round lump that just felt like his.

“They may be dragon eggs, did you get them from a breeder?” He asked, getting those big eyes that always demanded praise for the good job he did. It usually meant things were stolen, but Mal could only give that sigh as he leaned over to give Zeph a small little kiss, smiling as he wiggled so excitedly and latched onto the other egg. “Well, you did a lovely job, let’s go move them to the bed so they can be safe. Eggs like to be warm usually so lets go wrap them in some blankets too.”

Picking up his egg, he was surprised at first by how heavy it was but aside from the initial shock it was easy to carry for him. Off they went to bedroom, where they both helped in making a nest for their pair of eggs, curling on on the bed after for their usual midday lay where they’d watch some videos on Mal’s phone and maybe Zeph would get read to until Mal grew tired or bored and either had a nap or went off to work.

“I wonder what’s going to hatch from them, hopefully something cute like Roselie. Or you, I think you’re pretty sure for an undead even if a bit annoying at times.” Which there were many reasons behind that, with the obvious being Zepher’s pranks pulled to try and scare him away. Along with the less obvious, he missed his free time of being alone. He missed just laying or sitting along in a room for a few hours, taking in and enjoying the silence that came with it, no one to disturb him from his recharging moment, just him. Having a new house guest along with a dragon though, he supposed it couldn’t be helped. Now there was even a new pair of eggs, the big home was only getting a bigger pack living there so soon he believed quiet and alone time may fade away, leaving him sad. But he had his wonderful dragons, and he supposed that would have to make up for it, letting it lie as he laid to watch the show with Zeph.
