Dragons must undergo thorough courtship traditions before others will be interested in breeding with them. The Grand Display pushes their skills to the limit, ensuring only the finest of Dragons will go on to breed. Each element has their own traditions to impress others of their kind, though this same practice can dissuade their opposing element from breeding. Regardless of this, achieving their own element’s Grand Display is a dream of every growing dragon, and they are eager to enter into the ceremony as soon as permitted.

Show your dragon traveling outside of their normal terrain (in example, if they are a Storm dragon, they could travel through a desert. there should be no sandstorms or anything that would make it cozier for them.).

Flexibility Trial

The grey spectre of the city had long since vanished into the distance behind them, windswept plains before the two dragons, the terrain not exactly suited for them, but nor was it difficult to traverse, wide open spaces meant Argus could easliy slither along, and Aki fluttered easily next to him dotting to and fro. Strength had been proven, Byakko and Noodle having left the city before them. Aki glanced up as a large shadow crossed over him, the green wings of the storm/wind dragon at odds, Tehvah was his companion.... meanwhile a small avian dragon flew above Argus, occaisonly drifting in front..... Mistral was her name. Still... surely this trial was meant to be more difficult.

After the fierce battle with Byakko, Argus was humming with energy, and as a result he found this one.... bland in comparison... He narrowed his eyes as Mistral drifted in front of him her eyes glinting. Just at that point the ground below him shifted, and he hissed as the earth gave way... but not into a chasm, rather the land itself was unfurling, vine covered clumps of rocks rising into the air, a cold breeze rushed through the floating plains, and from below, fog rose, obscuring the dragons sight from all but Mistral who landed on his head. "Well?" She asked; slowly he spread his wings as if to fly, but immediately it brushed against floating earth.

Aki watched in amazement as the land fell away, unlike Argus, though he wasn't too affected by the now floating plains; but the fog, the cold ice touched fog had him shivering, Yelping he crashed into a rock, falling until he caught himself; visibility gone, though he could sense Tehvah hovering above him, she would help if she thought he needed it. Loath to leave Argus, still Aki fluttered upwards, aiming to go above the floating plains, and the cold fog... clearing it he sighed in relief... only to dive as the storm surged above, the thunder splitting the air as lighting angled towards him, his horn acting as a lightning rod, he hid under the topmost rock, and felt the thrum of power as the lightning struck.

Argus heard Aki yelp and could just about feel the lightning, though several clumps of floating earth and ice cold fog was between him and the open sky, and on his head his companion waited. Unable to fly, he folded his wings tight and 'floated' before starting to slowly weave through the fog obscured floating pieces of earth, it felt odd to not use his wings, and he felt... ungangly... but at least only Mistral could see, it was slow progress, and more than once he 'floated into one.

Aki had descended deeper into the fog, ice forming on his curls, rather the ice touched fog than the lighting that was arrowing towards him, so far he'd managed to avoid most of the earther clumps, simply due to how he tended fly, by fluttering here and there, finally the fog started to ease and he could spot Argus slowly weaving his way through the floating plains, his wings tucked tight.

Finally the fog eased fully, and far above the storm eased, sunlight filtering through the last few floating rocks... roaring, Argus flared his wings as he passed the last one, before landing, though he eyed the earth warily, he felt Aki land on him, panting as above the two guides weaved around one another before departing, their task done. "I don't like lightning." Aki muttered, meanwhile Argus puffed out his chest, they were so close to completing it their Display, just one more trial. "That was easy." He boomed, Aki rolled his eyes but said nothing.
