Dragons must undergo thorough courtship traditions before others will be interested in breeding with them. The Grand Display pushes their skills to the limit, ensuring only the finest of Dragons will go on to breed. Each element has their own traditions to impress others of their kind, though this same practice can dissuade their opposing element from breeding. Regardless of this, achieving their own element’s Grand Display is a dream of every growing dragon, and they are eager to enter into the ceremony as soon as permitted.

Providence Trial

Argus dove deep underwater, letting the coolness of the ocean soothe him; his wings spread wide as he descended deeper into the murky depths, he'd tolerated the trek through the plains, and though loathe to admit it, it had been a challenge, but here... here he was in his element, he bellowed, soon, it would all be over... soon he'd of completed his display. First though... to explore the mysterious submerged city, one he hadn't even been aware existed; he narrowed his eyes at his small companion, who was capable to deep diving far beyond he would of though for a metal dragon; still it had been Aki's information that had led them here, his own rider an adventurer... there a faint grey glint as what little sunlight caught something. The metal tingling along his senses, interwoven with that of the ocean.

Aki moved slowly, pacing himself, all of Isa's dragons had learned to hold their breath and dive deep, sometimes it was only way to reach some of the harder to explore areas, but this dive he knew was at the very end of his capabilities, but all informations Isa had gathered showed that though the metal city was on the ocean floor, it had pockets of air inside....... He felt Argus shift infront of him, making the dive easier; though he could feel his lungs burning from the lack of air, they wove through the glimmering metal towers, and into an 'opening', the dark metallic tunnel winding and weaving, before they started to ascend.... artificial light glimmering as they broke the surface.

Argus crawled out of the water, shaking himself free of the water, behind him he heard Aki take a deep breath, then another, slow and steady; leaving him to it, the large male looked around the area with interest, the metal pressing against him, lights flickered back on as the city stirred, the sound of metal shifting in the distance; the room itself was large, with elaborate metalwork that both provided the structure of the room, and yet was decorative at the same time. "It looks like they just left everything." A small voice sounded, and Argus turned to look at Aki, the small dragon fluttering now he'd got his breath back; taking a second look he realised aki was right, tables pushed to one side, still covered with plates and glasses, cutlery placed as if the meal had just finished, yet anything organic had longs since disinteragrated. "Lets see what else was left." Argus grumbled, slithering out of the room, and only just fitting through the door.

Aki followed, though interesting, it wasn;t what they were looking for, treasure.... such treasure that would support a family unit (though all of Isa's dragons could gather this was different), humming he darted down some of the smaller passgeways, though things had been left, none of it was treasure really... A faint glint caught his eye and he flew down a larger passageway aware of Argus following him, the door was jammed, but proved easy enough for the large male to budge..... an dthere beyond was truly treasure; chests of gold and jewels, scatterings of silver and other precious metals... as well as an immense forge.....

Argus wasted no time, overturning the chests, and gathering as much as he could, he didn't care why such a city and its former inhabitants were collecting such things, all he cared about was the fact it was an 'amazing deep sea treasure' and Paith would have a use for it.

Aki though was more picky, he went for what he knew was more precious, could be traded for more silvence; for he simply couldn't carry alot... finally though he fluttered away slowly, his jaw carrying what he needed.

Returning to where they'd entered the city, Argus slipped back into the waters and was away, the display complete, Aki waved a wing, before he too headed out, slowly rising to the suface far above, below, the metal city vanished back into the depths, hidden again though Aki was reasonable sure he could find it again, but for now he concentrated on holding his breath, until at last he was above water; breathing around his haul, he slowly headed towards land... and once he had his breath back, he'd return to Isa, his Grand Display complete.
