The Booming Voice Said Yes, Proceed

Tilting his head at the counselor as she told him this, the gears in his head started turning as he looked at Rayman, it starting to click just what they were doing. Even if the partner to be was throwing a hissy fit of his own, he wasn’t bothered by the tame words and just grinned at the other who was a bit worried what Adam was thinking and realizing that made him smile so.

“I could call you Mr. Noodle. If you prefer?” He offered, that more devious tone rolling off his tongue so easily, either way going to get his way when it came to a sweet pet name for the other.

“Now boys, you know you shouldn’t be fighting. Let it go...” Shaking her head, she was at least unbothered by the odd dragon and pat it’s lack of solid shape as it came to ‘speak’ to her, in the form of moans and shrieking.

“We aren’t fighting miss, just merely aggressively talking. Isn’t that right, Mr Noodle?” He did leave it be for now though, holding up his dragon and wiggling him slightly as he bit gently at Adam’s face, before licking his face like a strange lizard dog. “Are you okay with this, Rai? Do you like the pretty ramen boy?”

“Yes, pretty boy is pretty. Fine.” The rather deep voice came from the small dragon that was usually full of small screeches. His apparently normal voice as Adam returned him to his lap.

“It’s settled, Rai agrees this is a great Idea. But what about your totally not an independent dark dragon?”

Squinting at Adam, Rayden gave a very quick, and very firm "No thanks" to the offering of that oh so popular Mr. Noodle nickname. As soon as they were outside and away from the teachers eyes, he was going to punch him in the arm. He'd take Ramen over Mr. Noodle, especially if the other teen was going to be taking a single step inside his house for studying at some point. Both this ginger and their spade tailed dragon were starting to get on his nerves more and more the longer they were in each other's company however.

Click clacking on the wooden desk over to Adam, the darkness shrieked at him as well in a slightly more upset tone as it attempted to communicate. It hadn't had a lot of opportunities for conversation in the couple days since its hatching, and only Rayden's shadow had been its companion. The little dragon didn't seem to appreciate being called a not independent dragon though, knowing perfectly well what it was and not catching on to the sarcasm yet.

Tilting his head slightly, Rayden could only huff at Adam too. "How should I know? Isn't there supposed to be some sort of bond that lets you talk to them even with independents. I'm not getting squat from the little freeloader I tell you, it's just a wild one right now." Looking between the three with its eye, it at least did at least nod its approval at them.

“Aw, such a shame. Guess you shall be Ramen then.” Adam teased.

“Adam, be nice!”

“I am!” He hugged, growing annoyed by this insistent adult who wanted him to have ‘a good and fulfilling life’ but didn’t seem to grasp those silly frivolous things most teens worried about weren’t usually on his mind. He cared not to make friends, and understood the consequences of sleeping around clearly and practiced everything safely. Yet they still felt the need to remind him every time.

Getting shrieked at, he grinned at the strange dragon as he held a hand out for it to examine, before stroking the soft feeling cloud with hands. Much nicer to dragons, he set his down in his lap to pet the shadow that was darkness and cuteness. A bit scary, but he didn’t mind it and found it charming in it’s own way.

“Well it’s a baby, it needs time and long like any other dragon. Do you think Rai just hatched and i suddenly felt every need and want? Or understood every screech that was spit at me? It takes tiiiiime. It has to like you for some reason though, even if neither of you know why yet.”

“That's... insightful. Though I’m happy you two are getting along, the world doesn’t revolve around you Adam. Is everyone in agreement for the bonding?”

“I am.” Adam said simply, leaving the dragon be for now as he leaned back in his seat.

“Agreed, AGREEEEEEEEEE!” The deep, screeching voice called from the comfort of the warm lap, biting on some loose fabric and tugging, though not ripping the cloth.

Deep sighing, Rayden was pretty good at taking the lesser of two evils in life, dealing with Adam was apparently no different as he seemed to be accepting enough of one nickname over the other. Shrugging again, Rayden wasn't sure why the other kid was assuming he knew all these things he was apparently supposed to. They probably went over it at some point in class and he slept through it. Plus, how was he even supposed to know if it was actually a baby or not? He had only seen it hanging around him the last couple days, maybe it was a grown ass adult that liked to shriek.

Rubbing at his temples, he was starting to think this might not be a great thing to agree too, but he was a good son that liked to get praise from his parents when he actually did well on a test. "Yeah, I guess I'm in." He finally agreed. Of course The Darkness agreed as well, having already nodded its head.
