Meeting The Family AFTER Is A Bad Idea

Nodding off quite a few times during his classes as usual, Rayden was actually surprised when Adam started coming over to bother him before and after some. The guy had left him alone for so long, he figured he simply hadn't been on the list of possibilities for them. Apparently his looks matched their radar though, so it made him wonder what had changed other than the bonding.

"You know you can be friends without sleeping with them right?" He suggested, thinking maybe that was just how the red head went about life. Their sassy nature was annoying at best, but he could put up with and ignore it well enough if they'd just stop flirting with him. He had plenty of friends that he'd call assholes every day of the week, but they were still fun to hang around and get into trouble with.

Having rested most of the school day in Rayden's shadow, The Darkness was back out again once that bell sounded. Joining in to curl himself around his chosen rider's neck, he rumbled gently enjoying the warm, tender area and listening to the other being alive. Ah, it must be so nice. It being the perfect place now though, Rayden had even taken his collar off for the dragon to be comfy with. Simply used to having something around his neck, as long as the dragon stayed curled there he didn't feel too naked without it.

With the start of the first period and bonding done, and the rest of the day left out before them, Adam was if anything a persistent teen. With his eyes on the prize, Adam knew he often saw Rayden in his classes but he never realized just how many they shared together every day. 8 classes a day, and they share 7 of them. Much to the dismay of Rayden who didn’t like this at all. Their health and art classes just appeared to be switched, which was fine. Even Adam needed time away from his new desired chase. He grew so tired of his nodding off and inability to pay attention. Not that he was one to talk, often getting distracted by birds outside so easily.

“I do, I have plenty of friends I have never and don’t plan to sleep with.” Wiggling his fingers as he was off to health while Rayden was off to art, he thought nothing of it.

With the final bell going off, Adam was not unlike many other teenagers and wanted to be free from the educational prison given to him even if unwanted at times. Tossing his paper into the tray he slipped right after that blond haired male, wrapping his arm around him gently to not overcrowd the dragon but still wanted to latch on.

“So are we heading to your place today? Would love to see where my new partner lives.” His own place of staying was uneventful, though a teenager’s dream as he lived alone with just his dog.

Absently stroking the dark collar, Rayden was trying a little hard to listen to it since it seemed to be wanting to stick around and was coming out into the light more to keep him company. It was a strange, slightly frightening looking, but cute creature in its own right.

Both of them were slightly startled when a sudden arm joined Darkness on Rayden's shoulders. The vapor dragon poofed into a cloud and slid up to rest itself on the top of that blond head instead. The rider less than amused, he wasn't going to turn down his brand new tutor right off the bat. That arm he could turn down all he wanted though as he grabbed the hand and moved it off. "Yeah sure, you can help me with history after dinner. Just sit on the couch and try to keep your mouth under control, I've got much younger siblings that'll be home."

Whether it was thankful or not, they didn't live too far from the schools, so it wouldn't take them long to arrive in front of an impressively sized apartment building. Specifically chosen for the large family of six and two parents that were hardly ever home from overseas jobs. "The landlord is super nice and brings the kids sweets sometimes, so don't cause him any trouble. If you start flirting just cause he's cute I swear to god I'll kick your ass out."

Awing as his arm was removed, at least he got to follow the other home as Rai sat proudly on his shoulder to enjoy some of the sun before it went away. He loved the warmth, and with school out that meant he could get all the attention he wanted if he made big enough eyes at his rider who adored spoiling him as he was when younger.

“I do love kids, so I’ll be on my best behavior. How many of them? One? Two?” Being an only child, he didn’t know many bigger families as much of his childhood was lost, that was all on him though. He knew his parents tried so hard but he was a terror from the start. He wasn’t sure why at this age, with many of his memories gone from the years. “What if he’s into that though? Have you asked or tried yet?”

Not that Adam planned on doing any flirting, he wanted to get closer to a very specific someone, and flirting with someone else when in their presence was a turn off for sure. At least to him, and Rayden was far more picky than he was.

Riding atop Rayden's hair for a bit, Darkness wasn't as big a fan of the light, waiting just long enough to make sure there was enough room back around his rider's neck that he could slither right back down. Turning into that collar they were so fond of, the only difference between Darkness and the original was that the skull on a loop was now a bony hand. Aesthetic matching, but a little off.

Not that Rayden was about to complain. "Little more, but I'm sure you'll do fine. They're good kids." He wasn't sure whether he was suppose to answer about trying to flirt with the landlord seriously or not though. "I... guess not? He's not married, but pretty young." Tilting his head this way and that, this was one of the more normal conversations he had with Adam today he supposed. "Guess I'll try to swindle some more treats out of him tomorrow." He decided, holding the elevator open for his new tutor and heading up to the fifth floor.

The very first door, Rayden unlocked it, then threw it open with a practiced ease, stopping it right before it slammed into the wall. "ALRIGHT SPAWN, WHO HASN'T TAKEN THEIR BATH YET!?" he shouted into the opening that looked directly into the living room and kitchen area. Five heads popped up, three boys looking like they were frozen in the middle of a tussle, and two girls drawing together on the table as if the boys didn't exist. All five screeched and ran for the hills after Rayden took a step inside. "That's them, we'll do introductions during dinner."
