Started Off With Shake, How Did It End Up This Way

“Wonderful, you two talk out any finer details as I go get the witnesses and paperwork for you to sign at the ceremony. Behave now.” DIfferecting the last part mostly at Adam, he watched the miss go as he kept stroking his dragon who was starting to doze off in his lap and was moved back into his pocket until he put him in a safer spot once he returned to the gym. Like his locker or maybe on a nice rock until he went to gather him up before heading inside for the next class. Glancing at the clock though, this had taken some time and most of class was over. Leaving them just enough time to probably return to change before heading away to their next class more than likely.

“Shame, gym is almost over. So, are we going to kiss to finalize the bond?” He asked, maybe a little interested in a small peck but nothing too fancy. This was going to be his bond partner, he wanted to know what the gay side of that felt like.

Pouting when he followed Adam's gaze to the clock, The Darkness scooted over back towards Rayden to do more gentle rees at him. He had sighed more times today then he had all week, adding another one even as he reached out a finger to poke the dragon. Grabbing the offered finger, Darkness clung on to it with all three sets of hands. He even curled his tail around it, the eye closing so he could grab on with that one too. It was like Rayden had suddenly put on a black glove that slowly changed shape and oozed around his fingers. He knew dark dragons could shape shift, but this was new as he examined the starry dragon glove for a moment. Well, as long as they were comfy.

"Huh? Why the hell would I wanna kiss you? Fuck that, just shake my hand or something." Holding out the other hand as offering, those knit eyebrows were definitely a clear sign that he thought Adam was pretty full of himself.

“Wow, you’re just no fun at all. I guess a hand shake will do though. As unfun as that is.” Squinting at the other, he wondered if there was any fun part to this guy aside from his nice butt. Granted, one that he doubted he could touch any time soon without getting huffed and cursed at.

Feeling his pocket wiggle around, he wondered why the dragon was so antsy today, taking him back out to raise to his face for small kisses and touches before he shook the other’s hand, unhappy with the arrangement but as they were boundes study buddies there was going to be plenty of time spent together in the future.

“Come on boys, lets get this finished before next period starts!” Miss Montague called, Adam letting the hand go as he led the way.

“Of course miss, would be a shame if we missed chemistry and was left to bother you all period. Suuuuuch a shame.”

“Why must you be so sassy on such a wonderful day, Adam?”

“Sorry, force of habit with people I find annoying.” With still pep to his step, he grinned as he walked past her, heading to the bigger open auditorium a bit down the hall where the secretary was waving. That had to be the way, right?

"I'm plenty of fun, just not your type of fun," Rayden snorted, pleased with himself for getting squinted at by the other. Not particularly caring how much Adam liked him, they only had another year to go before they'd be free of school, the bond, and each other. He could deal with this until then, then he'd be able to use the free time to pick up a job instead of trying to cram random facts in his head.

The bit of sass towards the teacher that was one of the bossier ones Rayden had the pleasure of meeting was at least entertaining to him. He was more than willing to miss chemistry to play with the staplers, draw on hopefully important papers, and try to toss paper balls into the teacher's coffee cup. Some of his favorite activities while sitting in the principal's office or the waiting room.

Rayden was pleased enough to let Adam take all the heat for bugging miss Montague this 'wonderful' day though. Simple getting up to hurring on past towards the auditorium. They even had the secretary leading them like one of those people that helped the planes fly in with red and blue flashers.

Getting a little dizzy from the back and forth motion from his new rider forgetting about their nice new glove, Darkness unfurled itself to wiggle up towards Rayden's shoulder. Trying to find a good place to rest that wouldn't jiggle too much, he eyed the skull collar around their neck. That might work, but somewhere darker out of the light would be nice too. Reaching out with one set of hands, he weaved the bones through the blond hair, but found no piercings or even a good spot to weave himself in to. Hmm, there had to be somewhere nice to rest while the boys did their bonding ceremony!

“Oh, you are plenty my type. Don’t you worry your pretty face about that one.” Off to be away from the angry miss who rubbed her face at Adam, he knew he was in trouble if he stopped to look back at her and decided the best course of action was just keep going forward. Throwing open the door, he smiled at the grey skinned female who stood so nicely in her pretty dress. Only waving a bit at him as he enjoyed the warmth of the close up lights on his skin.

“Too bright!” THe booming voice told him, but was moved up to his shoulders where Rai could bury her face into Adam’s neck as the redhead enjoyed his antics of fleeing from trouble.

“Hurry up now, Rayden. Can’t take alllll day now~” Not caring how long or how short this was, as he was already having fun and was curious how the second bonds actually felt once it happened. He only heard about it from books and other people, but they tended to be in love and happy to be together. Not pushed together because school work.

That was probably the last thing Rayden wanted to hear, and he was slightly questioning this guy's sanity for thinking he was giving off any sort of reasoning for him to be their type. If that's what they were into, he supposed the easiest way out was to feign interest and go along with the flirtatious attitude so they lost their own interest but... that wasn't gonna happen.

The Darkness might not be able to feel or connect well to the rider he was currently claiming as his yet, but it wasn't hard to tell that they didn't seem to enjoy the red head's company. Which was a shame, as far as it could tell, Adam wasn't baaaaad. He just needed pats and dragon kisses apparently. And a short lesson on independents! Just the dragon for the job, he simply needed to learn how to pronounce his words quickly, that's all.

Knowing nothing of his tiny dragon's secret plots, Rayden hurried on through to see what was probably a little freshman girl waving at them with dark skin. She seemed to be one of those beastly erre people? He couldn't remember the proper term for it, but they were blessed by a god or something. The thing that caught his attention more though was the box behind her waving as well. It looked like it had just come out of the rain, slightly damp, with a piece of tape hanging off of it. But it was so happy looking with those void eyes and a big smile. He knew there were some odd dragons out there, but this was his first time seeing a box dragon. Part of him was tempted to try and open the top of it. The other part did not want to know what was inside. "uh, let's just sign these papers and go change, I think there's a question I suddenly wanna ask the chemistry teacher."

“Yeah yeah, get up here to sign the papers then.” Having less fun as this went on, part of him debated feigning sickness and heading home, though with the responsibility of having become a personal tutor he knew he wouldn’t just be guilty of what if Rayden actually needed help and he wasn’t there. It wasn’t as if they exchanged numbers or anything, and he didn’t think that was going to be a thing with the uptight male for a while so he’d merely suffer to keep to his agreed to job in the name of gay.

Waiting on the small podium for Rayden to join him, he signed the paper and slipped it over for Rayden to sign. Waiting for the other male to write surprisingly neat on the paper, before they shook on it and it was done. It was simple, not fun, but not gay. Much to Adam’s dismay as he just wanted one small peck. He was just a curious boy in a not as curious world though it seemed.

The two witnesses, the young girl and what appeared to be a sentient box clapped. Happy for the pair as the counselor and secretary also did their clap with them. It was done though, and after hanging over the paper they were dismissed to return to class.

“Head right on down now, no skipping or running off to the pizza parlor down the road.”

“Of course Miss M, not really hungry at the moment.” A lie, but he’d deal and grab some chips on the way down. Getting the tired yawns from Rai, back into his pocket he went as Adam waved Rayden off once they were both out of sight. “You head on down, I’ll see you in our next class together.”
