'Better Not Tell You Now.'

Myxuki swore she felt a few droplets of rain on her face, and holding out her hand to test this theory only invited a definite drizzle, and then a full-on downpour. She supposed that’s what she gets for not checking the weather... Such seemed to be a con of spontaneity. Luckily she spotted a bus stop to take cover under just a little ways away, and after a hasty dart through the rain, she had her shelter from the elements. But, she wasn't alone; a stray cat, sitting by the bench, was also avoiding the rain.

Slipping into her long-dead native language, she made conversation with her furry companion, “...You don’t want to get wet either, do you, cat.” But true to its nature it paid her no mind, content to sit up tall, crooked tail curled around its feet as it watched the rain.

Despite the cat's disinterest, Myxuki continued to talk to it, and seeing as it couldn't understand her anyway, she didn't bother to use English. "...It seems as though you’ve been dealt an unfavorable hand in life.”

She slowly approached the cat, reaching a hand out towards it, only receiving a glare and tail flick in response. She moved closer to pat it on the hand and in a brief instant it swiped it's paw at her and uttered a hiss. Myxuki pulled her hand back and stepped away from the cat, "Ow." Turning her hand over revealed a sizable scratch, and looking back at the cat showed that it looked even more disgruntled than before, it's bent tail thrashing behind it. "Not fond of being pet, I assume..."

She took a step away from the bench and outstretched her arm past the awning. Rain droplets splattered against her hand and arm, washing away any blood. "...I suppose that I was dealt a poor hand as well..."

A good player can still make progress with a poor draw, however. But her decisions haven't been those of someone determined to 'win' at this game of life.

“...You don’t care, though, do you." Myxuki's words cut off her wandering thoughts, "You’re just a cat. I wonder if it’s better or worse that way.”

The rain finally let up, becoming nothing more than a substantial drizzle.

Without warning the cat leaped out into the rain and darted off down the sidewalk. "What- where are you going, cat?" Obviously, the cat wasn't going to be giving her any answers. Unless, she followed it, anyway. She didn't even ponder the thought any longer than was required to have it; she simply dashed out and followed down the sidewalk. These puddles had accumulated quickly and she found herself trying to dodge them, but she simply wasn't as nimble as her feline companion.

Myxuki's pace slowed, then she came to a stop entirely, having to catch her breath. As if noticing, the cat stopped and took a seat, looking directly up at her, tail flicking slightly. "I'm... I'm not meant to be running..." She spoke to it between breaths. After a moment she walked towards it, and the cat continued down the sidewalk at a more reasonable pace. "If I didn't know any better... I'd think you wanted me to follow you, cat."

The cat suddenly took off again, headed directly for... an auto repair shop? Myxuki picked up the pace to follow it without a moment's hesitation.
