  • base their days on constellations
  • base their time w/ the position of certain stars (for Devoured Sun)
  • 12 month and 30 day system
  • 24/7 time
  • "The Rising ___" for the first 15 days
  • "The Falling ___" for the last 15 days

Month Names

  • the year would just reset to 1 from the start of the devoured sun since humanity found this apocalyptic event as a "reset"
  • Devoured Sun Era would be D.S. and New Star as N.S.
  • ex. January 1st 2021 would be 1st day of The Rising Ram, 21 D.S.
  • ex. January 16th 2021 would be 16th day of The Falling Ram, 21 D.S.

  • the day the city's celestial being fell is a day of celebration/ a holiday
  • Every city has a different "Celestial Fall Day"
  • during that day, everyone "fasts"
  • they refrain from eating/ drinking for a set amount of time for the day, and refrain from using any appliances that uses some sort of power
  • this is to give the celestial being a day to "rest" as it gave the people a new life and hope
  • another day people observe is the Devoured Sun, the day the sun was taken for whatever how long
  • it is a day mostly for mourning, praying for safety, a new sun, new hope, whatever to pray and give good luck for the year live
  • people in the second era observes that day as both a day of mourning (for the old sun and for the ancestors who passed from the struggle)
  • and a day of celebration, thanking the new sun for its existence
  • maybe some sort of burning offer?
  • day of mourning is modern day equivalent of december 31st
  • day of celebration is modern day equivalent of january 1st
