Archived RPs back in 2017-2018! A lot of these play a big role in what some of my squid children went through to become who they are today. So it's a nice context to have! I've probably missed a lot of scenes and even authors and characters to add here,,, I'm not really in touch with a lot of the members anymore as the group died a while back. That being said though, there are A LOT of characters here that don't belong to me. If you find yours, lemme know lol

Test Run

Camp Triggerfish! The stupid camp she, Paisley Mai, was forced to go into! Okay, it was "highly recommended", but in the end, the turquoise inkling was being packed up and shipped off to the islands.
Once the registrations and meeting with the leaders were settled, her aunt and uncle were helping her bring her things to the assigned cabin.
There weren't many things she brought. Just several trunks, nothing big~
But seeing the space she decided to cut back a trunk or two. She wasn't gonna be able to make friends quickly if she hogged up the space, now would she?
She had some help from the relatives but they eventually left and she was left to finish up the unpacking.
Paisley took a quick look at the names on a clipboard. Supposedly the other names of her cabin mates... Jackie... Lucile... And lime. A counselor-the heck do they need a counselor with them, for?
She jerked away from the notes, returning to her cleaning. Could have sworn she heard someone outside the door..

Oh boy, oh boy! It's  hot as carp, but this little squib doesn't  have a care in the world!  A bag on her back, anda bucket being kicked by her legs as she walks to the cabin. All the fun she's gonna have here at summer camp!
"Tra la la la~ !" She sings to herself stepping inside. Her gear all set down, and she turns to the squid inside with her. "Oh, helloooo~. You must be a cabinmate? I am Lucille! <3"

Paisley had turned from her 'cleaning,' really just resetting her picture frames on the night stand, "oh! Well nice to meet you!" She said all chipper-like with a smile, hoping to meet the same level of cheeriness as this one.. "And yep, you've got that, right! My name's Paisley."

Lucille giggles into her hand before holding it out. A cute little hold to her bucket as her head tilts. "It is nice to meet you, Lays Pays."

Paisley blinked. Kinda a wtfffff look right about now. Nonetheless she took the other's hand and shook it, "um.. n-no it's Paisley." she stepped back from the hand shake, wearing a bit of a pensive smile, and venturing her hands as she pronounced the name, "Pay•slee"

"Oh! My apologies. I'm sure we'll have a grand old time!" Her hand drops to her side as she sways her hips around.

Paisley smiled more politely, "Say uh, need any help bringing your things in? I'm practically all moved in~" gotta keep up the conversation, right?

"I'm all moved in as well, Paisely." She moves over to hte bed placing her bucket down. Seems she gives it a little caress before sitting next to it.

Well, she was attempting to get the name right, straight away! Paisley's smile became more genuine... until she saw the bucket caress. Cue that anime sweat drop. Just.. who was she dealing with? "Well, doesn't seem like you have a lot huh. Great for survival I guess! Haheh..." she turned to her belongings, giving her time to rest her false smile, but she kept up her tone, "well then, you're one! Guess we have two to go.."

Lime, who was already there from previous years at the camp, already had her stuff unpacked as she never really moved cabins. While the cabins were officially named by numbers, the campers took the habit of naming to cabins by the counselor that was in there. Hence the terms "Cabin Lime" and "Free Cabin" existed.
She had just returned from a meeting at HQ regarding the flag hunt, and had her usual resting bitch face as she entered the extremely cramped cabin. "I'm top bunk," was the first thing she muttered as she saw the other two squids there. "If any of you try to take it I'll cut you."

"Well aren't you chipper!" Paisley winked. She was only hoping she played her cards right.

She tilts her head turning over to Lime. "Oh?  You threaten people as well?  Oh, you must certainly take all the joy in doing so!"  There was...an almost devilish smile on her face.

"Don't even bother." Lime spat, rolling her eyes. "I'm Lime, the counselor of this cabin, so if you guys are gonna do anything dumb, I'm here to stop you." She paused, then continued. "If you guys wake me up for something that isn't important I will enjoy cutting you," she hissed, glaring at Lucille.

Lucille didn't budge. in fact, she seemed to grin even wider. "That sounds positively delightful, dear! You are going to be such a  swell counselor, Lemon."

Not a bad reaction, certainly a lot better than she was expecting. Though hearing the comments from Lucile made her think even more of just who she's dealing with. Gotta keep tabs on that one.
"Well the name fits ya," she mumbled, then brought up a still cheery tone, "hey I like my beauty sleep too dontcha worry," she shrugged

The green squid cast Lucille a glare that would put Satan to shame. "I don't like you already, Lucille," she growled. Mentally she debated whether should threaten her with her swiss army knife but remembered the amount of pushups and situps Tris made her do the next day the last time she tried that. Too many. "Remember, I can subtract or add house points as I wish. I'm a grey so I don't give a shit which house wins, and since I'm surrounded by sharks I can easily make this camp hell for all of you, got it?"

Jackie walked in at the worst possible time. "Well, talk about tension."

"I love you too, Lemon."

Lime had to resist the urge to punch her with every fibre of her being. It was already bad enough that she woke up earlier than usual for her meeting at HQ, but now she was a whole new level of pissed. Using all her willpower to refrain from starting a fight, she seethed, "Fuck you."

Sounds like finally someone with sense came in. Paisley waved happily at the orange squid, "hi there! Betcha you're Jackie!"

"Oh? You play that field? I'm sorry, Lemon. I do not roll like that as the kids say nowadays." There was nothing but a polite grin on her face. The gaze locked on Lemon the entire time.

Paisley glanced at Lucile questioningly. 'kids nowadays' wasn't she a kid, herself?

"Ten pushups, now." She pointed to the floor, staring daggers into Lucille's brain. "That'll teach you not to be a smartass with me."

"Oh, my favorite!" She got down to the ground smiling gleefully. 5 push ups later, and she seems to not have any fatigue at all. Is she a supersquid? Probably not. The 10 pushups were nothing, and she got back up with the grin facing Lemon again. "My camp experience is already so much fun thanks to you, Lemon!"

"If you like them so much, do twenty more then."

Jackie frowned. "Isn't that kinda harsh?" She questioned. Lime whipped around to glare at her too.

"No. She's being a smartass to a counselor. I can do that if I want."
The orange squid crossed her arms. "Yikes. Grumpy counselor."

"Get on the floor and give me twenty."

That is when Jackie made a mental note in her brain - in bold, capital letters - I do not like this counselor.

Paisley gave a low whistle, leaning against the bed with her arms crossed, "you're not an easy one, are ya?"

Lucille was already doing the pushups as she reprimanded Lemon. Nothing's getting that smile off her face any time soon. Once she finished the 20 pushups, she sat on her bed caressing the bucket once more. "So much fun again! Thank you, Lemon!" She doesn't even seem tired. What even is this squid?

Once Jackie finished her twenty, sweating, she sat on the bottom bunk opposite to Lime's bed. "Sooo... who's getting the other top bunk?" Jackie asked, panting. Lime was lying in her bed with one hand behind her head and one hand using her phone.

"Ugh, the reception here is shit."

Paisley shrugged a bit, "I kinda claimed the bottom one, so it's totally up to you guys!"

Lucille crawled up to the top bunk bringing the bucket with her. "I believe I shall take this wonderful bunk!" She said before giving the bucket a smooch.

"That's kinda creepy," Lime deadpanned, not even looking with her whole head.

Paisley cringed a bit. Not just from Lucille's odd activities, but from all of it in general. It just seems so.. uneven somehow. She wasn't sure how to act. Just best to retreat for now. So she pushed herself off the frame and stretched her arms up, "well! I'm hungry, so I'll just see you guys later, yeah!" She was almost at the door before she stopped, forgot to cover her tracks ugh! The squid turned around with a smile and a rub behind her neck, "oh, unless someone wants to join!"

"Can you get me some coffee while you're at the mess hall?" Lime called out after her.

Wow, being trusted with getting a counselor coffee on day one? She felt like she was getting somewhere, couldn't mess this up... entirely anyways. So she didn't bother to ask for how many creams or sugars, gambling this squid hates it black and she could just get away with it. She piped up, "oh sure of course!!" And after waiting for another moment to see if anyone would tag along, Paisley left the cabin with a hop and a skip.

"Oh, Paisley~. I'd love to join you on this harrowing expedition~"  She hops down rom the bunk keeping the bucket held in her grasp. "I'm sure we'll have ooodles of joy together!"

Paisley heard the notion when she was out the door already. She waited for Lucille to join her outside, though she'd rather have gone with Jackie. This one seemed to have had a couple of screws loose if she was carrying that bucket so cautiously and doing those push ups without breaking a sweat. Still, she kept up the nice-girl act. They were cabin mates. Not exactly smart to make enemies out of those living in the same proximity.
So when the soda inkling came out, she smiled.... which quickly turned into a pensive one when she saw that bucket again. "Oh, well I'm not sure how much fun getting food and coffee can be but sure..... you could have left that bucket behind y'know? Eheh"

The soda squid follows alongside her very closely as she caresses the bucket. "Chester gets lonely. He doesn't think Lemon would be good company for now, but he'll love her just as I do soon!" Yup, she's bonkers.

If just being sent off to camp wasn't bad enough... she was cooped up with this lunatic. But paisley only blinked to her reply as they walked, stepping a bit to the side.. only because Lucille was rather close, she didn't seem to have anything against Paisley yet.
"Well.. if ya say so.." they continued their trek to the mess hall, Paisley decided to keep her yap shut. Just to see what the other inkling would bring up. If anything went wrong, she could easily redirect the conversation... she hoped.(edited)

"Oh? What's that?" She put the bucket to her ear creating a nodding motion with it. "I see..."  Is she ok? "I too love seeing the colored liquid flow slowly. It's my favorite part." She giggles as she sets the bucket in front of her again. "Lovely talk, Chester~."

Yep. Lunatic.
Already Paisley was thinking of the precautions she'd have to take around this one. Like playing along when she needed to or just to not ask about the bucket. Simple enough.
Gotta keep it up.
She clapped her hands, "so! What brought you here? I was 'highly' recommend to come so I can fend better in close combat haha!"
Of course she was good at close combat.... just not with a charger.

"Oh, mother told me that I should make more friends instead of only Chester. I couldn't  leave my buddy behind, so he came along." Her grin turned over to Paisley. That bucket was getting pet again.  "I was also told to not be physical with anyone."

That one word could mean anything.
Paisley gave her a thumbs up, trying to ignore the bucket getting affection like it were a squishy, "well that's some sound advice there."
She headed up and through the doors of the mess hall, grabbing a muffin and something to drink before sitting down at a table. She'd get the coffee before they left.
The turquoise squid casually scanned the area for the other inklings. Noting color and appearance..

Lucille wandered about the mess hall. Often seen talking to the bucket in her hands. For a bucket, it sure does have an insightful conversation. "Oh, isn't this just grand, Paisley?" She says approaching her once more.  There's no escaping this one.

Welp here we go, Paisley pulled off a genuine smile at the squid... who's insane... but hey, didn't seem very anything at the moment other than happiness!
"What is, Lucille?"

"The selection of people! Each one is oh so different! Doesn't that amaze you too, Paisley?" Her head titled as the cheery tone rang through. You know for sure that tone is suspicious as hell.

'selection'
Just... what did she mean by that? It couldn't be that- no no no. Paisley quickly dismissed the thought. Even if it may be true it would only falter the act she has going now.
And right now she needed Lucille to think this turquoise squid was a bit ditzy.
She took a bite out of her muffin and nodded, "well there are certainly different kinds! I'm just excited to meet them all!" She shrugged with a smile.

"Indeed!" She sits at the table caressing the bucket. You can swear that you hear her whispering to it as she does.

Once again Paisley chose against asking about the bucket. Giving it acknowledgement would only lead to worse things. But she couldn't help wonder just what things she was hearing from the thing.
Quickly finishing her muffin and drink, the inkling went ahead to dispose the trash and head to the coffee maker.. brewer... thing-whatever. Pushing the button to serve the coffee into the cup and capping it off.
Then she turned to the soda inkling with a tilt of her head, "you're not gonna eat anything?"

"I've had a hearty meal before arriving at camp." She started skipping along now. Ok, she's beyond bonkers.

She smiled, "well if you say so! Kinda good you thought ahead!" Just keep at it, Paisley.. keep at it...
she traversed back with the cup of black coffee and Lucille in tow. She opened the door to their cabin and cheerfully sang out, "we're baaaaack!"

"Thanks for the coffee," Lime grunted, hopping down from her bunk to collect it. "Here's two house points for Sharquynn." She placed two tiny fang charms in Paisley's hand. "Bring these up to HQ and put them in your jar."

Her green eyes sparkled at the two little charms in her hand. And to bring them to HQ? Hopefully she wasn't running errand girl... But Paisley looked up innocently and asked, "oh, how soon should I bring them there?"

"As soon as you want those points to be added to your total," she replied gruffly. "Those are your house points in physical form."

didn't need to be so cranky about explaining that
but she bit her tongue. Instead smiling cheerfully with a nod. "Wow thanks! I'll go right away then!" And with that, she was out the door once more. buttering up to authorities was a thing. and despite losing her gamble, she at least got something out of it... and managed to ditch the lunatic. Not that she didn't like the girl... she's just veeeerrry cautious.
good luck in there, Jackie. ya might need it she thought
idk get some lucille and jackie interaction going? XDD

Lucille wandered in slowly going over to her  bunk. A stare was given to Lemon with a kind smile on her face. Not meaning any harm at all! At least, you hope so. The squid caresses her bucket giving it a few smooches as her eyes survey the cabin/

"So uh...you must be Lucille," Jackie began, trying to not look creeped out and retain her friendly grin.

The grin turned over to Jackie. The creepy gaze now fixed upon her. :Oh, yes I am! You must be Jackana! It is pleasant to meet you!" That bucket is still being pet. Why is she petting a bucket?

"It's Jackie, but I suppose that isn't as dumb as Jacquelyn." The orange inkling shrugged. She just really hated the name Jacquelyn.

Just Lucille's existence in the room was frustrating an already grumpy Lime, so she simply stood up and left without saying a word.

"Toodles, Lemon~." She gave the counselor a wave before placing another smooch to the  bucket.

"Wow, you really piss her off," Jackie chuckled. "Please don't lose points for Sharquynn. We're all sharks here except her grumpy ass."

"I only do what's  best for everyone. Who doesn't love to see a smile? It must be glorious to see one as the final image." She seemed to  sway around as she spoke.

"Uh...what?" Jackie tilted her head to one side.

Paisley opened the door again, depositing the house points (not sure if there was anything really needed for that except dropping them off lol) "well that was a pretty good walk!" she cheered. Taking notice that Lime wasn't there, she plopped into her bed, "ah, well, who chased out the bitch?"
