Archived RPs back in 2017-2018! A lot of these play a big role in what some of my squid children went through to become who they are today. So it's a nice context to have! I've probably missed a lot of scenes and even authors and characters to add here,,, I'm not really in touch with a lot of the members anymore as the group died a while back. That being said though, there are A LOT of characters here that don't belong to me. If you find yours, lemme know lol

Hat Delivery

She really needed some kind of sleeve for this thing.

Paisley was walking along twirling a blue takoroka mesh on one hand and holding onto her charger with the other that laid across her shoulders.
She was about to start a new day of training but.. Maybe it was wise to return the hat. He.. wasn't exactly stable to go on a wild goose chase anyways. Though she was running a slight risk by showing up unannounced. She only hoped Nick was actually resting like he is fucking supposed to.
knock knock knock on Cabin Ethan's door..

For once, yes, Nicholas was actually in bed.
He had his arms crossed and covering his eyes as if maybe to keep them closed and make sure he was going to rest, though soon enough her removed them as he looked over at the door. Who could that be...? He didn't remember anyone other than his own cabinmates coming by here, but they wouldn't need to knock to get in... Nick sighed a bit and was going to get off of bed- He stopped and kept himself in the middle of the bed before he could accidentally fall down again.
Being a bit more careful, the yellow inkling soon got down without falling and went over to open the door. "Paisley? What are you doing over here?" He seemed surprised.

She had stopped twirling the hat even before she knocked, trying to listen if there was even anyone inside. She couldn't waste too much time even if she wanted to...
A small smile trailed on her face once he opened the door though. good. he was resting. .. or well, if any indication of him actually being in his cabin led to such a thought. The usual confident smile came back as she held out his hat to him, "I did say I was gonna think about it," She winked. "Figured I should do it now before I forget."

He couldn't help but give a little smile back and take the hat before it could possibly be taken away again for whatever reason. "Huh, why, thanks." was all he said even though he was thinking of something more to say, like a light and playful insult maybe or... Nick's eyes went over to the charger she had. Oh. She was going to training...
The smile fell and he sighed a bit while looking away. Still can't train, still can't do much, it wasn't great at all yet it's a thing that he needed to rest and heal before any of that could happen. "... Well uh- guess you need to get going now? Since you have your charger with you I'm assuming that you're gonna go train?" He asked her.

Sweet! Hat returned, she could just.. wait what's with the look.
When he looked away her own smile faltered. And then he asked about the training. Right. right.. he couldn't even do this stuff till he was fully healed. Paisley glanced at her weapon before looking back with a small shrug, "ahah.. yeeeeah I probably should. I technically haven't been late yet but. y'know. Don't wanna find out what would happen if I did come super late!" She tried to be lighthearted about it, trying to show he wasn't missing that much if she was getting to these places so late lol
She turned away, ready to take her leave.. but paused before turning back to him, some concern on her face even though she tried to sound like her usual self, "Though I think I can spare some minutes, phht. ..er.. How're you feeling?"

He looked back at her and went nodding slightly at what she was saying, but it still wasn't really putting his mood up from this. Nicholas went to putting up a somewhat tired looking grin when she mentioned not wanting to know how it would be if she was very late...
But, what's this? She looked like she was gonna leave and yet still... Staying for a bit longer...? She looked a bit concerned even, and that question... "Oh, I'm feeling alright so far. Other than previous times of leaving the cabin, I've just... Been drawing a stuff while in bed... Mm." He seemed to shrug as if it wasn't much of an important thing to say.

He was nonchalant it seems. Paisley set the butt of her charger to the floor, loosely hanging onto the top part of it, "seeeee? That's why you've gotta stay in bed!" She was half teasing, referring to his leaving the cabin. She was curious though. Just what he was thinking that night. But.. "Any idea how much longer yer gonna be out of commission? We've gotta get a fight in one day, y'know?" She laughed. Course she was talking about a splatmatch than an actual fist fight.

He chuckled a bit. "I guess. I just... Really don't like staying in one place for a long while eh..." Nick went over and sat on the bed nearest for now, but went to looking over at her when responding and listening too. "Oh uh... A week or two more maybe... ... Hahah, I wonder how we would be on the turf. That'd be fun probably." He smiled a bit.

Paisley put a fist on her hip with a smirk, "I can tell that much." She followed in, they were talking.
It was fine to just invite herself in right? Of course it was!
She set her weapon aside temporarily, leaning on one of the beds. "Oh definitely! Gotta warn ya though, I've got a trained eye~" she chuckled. She stood quiet for a moment though, averting her eyes just.. thinking about how to go about the question.. she didn't want to ruin the little light hearted moment either.

Nicholas chuckled again when she went going in after him. Of course she'd do that haha... "We'll see about that I guess? Though I haven't actually been in a turf war before... So there's that for me." He shrugged. And then she went silent. What's with that hm? "... Is there something you want to say or maybe ask or something?" He tilted his head, looking at her a bit curiously.

Her eyes went to look at him, but it only turned into a glance damn head tilt. She crossed her arms and kept her gaze looking away, maybe at some random spec on the wall or just.. something. Just gotta rip off the bandaid. "Why'd you do it? ...It was almost as if you were askin for it.... that fight...." Paisley looked at him then, a slight frown and concerned eyes, repeating the question she asked that same night, "What were you trying to prove?"

Nicholas went silent. Of course she'd still wonder about it. Though they've been able to not talk about it so far, it was obviously not going to last forever... So... Answer it truthfully or not... What would you choose, Nick?
"... The fight..." He looked back on what happened right then. He went in there to actually fight that time and hopefully lose... "... I... I honestly wasn't trying to prove anything- I..." Nick looked away and sighed. This didn't sound good to hear but he... He didn't want to lie her again.
"... You and I weren't on the best of terms, I hated myself since I really liked having you as a friend and thought I just broke it and turned that friendship into pieces and well... Since the counselors or Trevor and Cooper would stop the fight anyways if it gets too bad... I thought... Why not, after I did all that..." He then went back to being silent.

Paisley opened her mouth to say what a stupid idea that was but.. the reason was because of their friendship. She had to think about it. Did it really mean that much to him to get physically hurt over it?
...yeah as stupid as it was it was also kind of touching. In a morbid way. Seriously, "I think there were better options of beating yourself up over it than actually getting beat up, dummy" letting her thoughts speak aloud again, she gave a little chuckle.

"Yeeaah but, hahah... I don't know what's with me- deciding that getting beaten up would be better than straight up confronting you about it, hahah..." He joked a bit. "Really, I guess I don't seem to need any sort of painkiller or whatever stuff to be 'crazy' huh..." He sat straight and looked at her at that point though. "... I got too scared, that's all, haha. I swear I won't try to do something like that again..." Nicholas gave her a smile.

Paisley rolled her eyes, wearing a small smile though. Geez. Being crazy without a pain killer.
"Good." She said after his promise, pushing herself off from leaning on the bed to collect her charger. "'Cause you mean a little too much to me to see you get hurt like that.." she stopped herself at the door, looking at the handle for a moment. She said that aloud too, whoops. Just play it off, girl. He's your friend after all. Why wouldn't you care? The turquoise inkling looked up at him again then, flashing a friendly smile, "I should get going," which contorted to a more determined one, "and you better get better soon, Nicky!" She let herself out. Dang she was gonna have to double time it to that field.

Nicholas's eyes widened and he ended up staring at her for a while when she said that. He... He meant a little too much to her...? Did she... She couldn't possibly mean...
He blinked a few times and gave another smile and waved goodbye as she left. "Oh- goodluck with training then, Paisley...!" Nick yelled out a bit, going to the door and closing it but... Couldn't help but lean on it for the meanwhile.
No. She doesn't... Would she really though... Mm... He held his chest, not that it was hurting but... Hah... Why was he getting hope for such a thing... There's... There's no way that she likes him... Like he likes her...? Nicholas sighed and went to going back on his bunk bed. Rest, get better, yeah he'll do that... Just... ... How is he supposed to sleep now hahah.
