Androcles' Character

Androcles first name means 'Glory Of A Man'. Within the particular area he was born in, the village of Setra, and the surrounding countries under that particular monarchy, children are often given ancient Greek or Roman names to match the given theme of the area. It's commonplace for most people and their children to have such sounding names, even if how they dress looks anything but Greek or Roman.
