Land 1b

This ship, at its heart, was not all too different from home. The waves still rippled all around, the smell of salt and fish still filled the air, and the crew, although not waterbreathers like Alessia, were most at home by the water. She sat at the helm of the ship, able to look out at the crew of the Wanderlust, and found herself quite glad that she had been sent to such a friendly bunch. The perfect group to hone her strength, to make connections, where she would be free and welcome to learn. Or so she could tell, so far.

She never really had stopped thinking since she was able to, always pondering the dangers to every situation. And this place, although full of potential, was also perhaps full of betrayal. Alessia was an outsider, a wanderer, sent by someone who - to these cats - was a random lion who dropped out of the sky with a prophecy. Surely they wouldn't trust that, wouldn't expect that.

But they presented her with gifts to liven up her dull fur and simple clothing - a headband, braided with beads, and a spear that felt like home, and Alessia came to realize that perhaps the distrust was on her side moreso than on theirs. There were a few odd looks, a couple of questions, but overall everyone wished her well, asked how they could help, showed her how things were run on board. One of the smallest cats, Sven, brought her to see the crow's nest, and a kindly old fellow who went by Tederick offered her a flower as she walked past. Golden, beautiful, a gesture of kindness she was not expecting.

No matter. Even if these cats held no ill will, she would still prepare. Plot ahead for any future danger, both from out and in. So during her first few days with the crew, that's exactly what she did. Oh, on the outside her smiling face and cheerful outlook betrayed nothing, but internally Alessia thought. Thought and plotted.

To be truly great, to achieve whatever destiny was set before her - would require nothing but the best. So she would waste no time while with these sailors, use even casual conversation to her benefit, and gain all the knowledge she could.

And if any dared to betray her, or if enemies came on board - well, they would be wise to not underestimate the darkest parts of the sea, or those that knew them well.
