Terms of Service
By purchasing a Berrian, you agree to follow the rules listed below.
For any questions or inquiries regarding the Terms of Service, please message lordofthefuzzys or Octo-Hedgie. You will receive a warning and be added to a watch list the first time you break a rule. The second time you will receive a reminder and the third time will result in a permanent ban.
This system can be adjusted depending on the circumstances, however stealing another person's character will result in an instant and permanant ban as that is a blatant act of theft. These terms were last updated January, 30, 2022.
Automatic rights given to all Berrian owners
- Owners can give their adopted Berrian a name, background, personality, relationship and treat them as their own OCs
- Owners can make commercial products based off of their Berrian (eg. stickers, soft toys, posters) provided they credit Berrians, lordofthefuzzys and Octo-Hedgie
- Owners can resell/trade official or guest artist Berrians for whatever they desire regardless of the original purchase price; this can include real life items as well
- Owners cannot resell MYO Berrians for more than they were bought for unless they come with extra art, in which case simply add the cost of the commissions to the MYO price
- Owners are allowed to turn their Berrians into a non-species, but this process is non-reversible meaning that once they've been reverted, they are not Berrians anymore and therefore cannot be advertised as Berrians
- Protection over the ownership of character is a given; we will make a masterlist entry and go the extra effort to make sure that your character belongs to you, and you only
- Owners' characters will never be revoked even after a ban; in the case of a ban, they cannot claim their character as a Berrian anymore nor participate in group activities with their Berrians
General Group & Gallery Rules
- Please always remember to be nice and respectful towards others; that means constant harassment is a big no-no
- Please credit the designer of your Berrians the first instance you draw your character as well as lordofthefuzzys and Octo-Hedgie, owners of the Berrians, whenever you repost or draw your character
- If you see or hear of someone breaking a rule please note us with evidence (eg. screenshot) and we'll see what we can do
- Please don't purposely cheat in events by entering with multiple accounts such as DTAs and raffles
Ownership & Adoptable Rules
- Berrians are a closed species which means you are not allowed to make your own without permission from lordofthefuzzys or Octo-Hedgie
- Stealing another person's Berrian and claiming it as your own is not allowed
- Small changes to a design is allowed provided that you contact the team about it first
- Please also read the personal adopt T.O.S of the designer you want to buy an adopt from
- When ownership changes for your Berrian, please respond to the comment under the ownership log of that Berrian's masterlist entry with the new owner's name
