WHAT ARE ATHENAI?
Athenai are humanoid librarians with mechanical arms and the ability to bend the laws of reality. They reside in the Library Eternal, a realm said to be filled with infinite knowledge.

HOW DO I GET ONE?
Every now and then, we'll open a free MYO event for you to make your own Athenai! Alternatively, you can participate in free raffles... or buy a MYO slot or buy an adopt from a (Guest) Artist through flat sales or auctions.

DO ALL ATHENAI HAVE TO FOLLOW THE OFFICIAL SPECIES LORE?
Not at all! Even if you do follow the official species lore, there's nothing stopping you from accessing the Quiet Worldgate and entering other worlds to explore.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NORMAL OR AN ERUDITE ATHENAI?
Normal Athenai start off with no augments or braidings and can only gain special traits by using items purchasable with Axial Engrams (AE). Erudite Athenai, along with starting out with a maximum of 3 items, may also make an Athenai with special Erudite features (denoted with stars in the MYO trait guide).

WHAT ARE AXIAL ENGRAMS?
Axial Engrams are a type of currency traded amongst the Athenai - fragments of knowledge encased in crystalline shards. They're used to trade for Memories (special kinds of Engrams which make buying certain items easier), Braidings and Augments (items that modify your Athenai's design), or even Cores (they're MYO slots, but they take a lot of Engrams or Memories to get). Certain events also grant special items, so keep your eyes out for those if you see them!

HEY. SO ABOUT REDESIGNING, VOIDING, AND APPROVING ATHENAI...
You might want to check out the guide for instructions on approving and redesigning Athenai, and the TOS for guidelines about voiding. I'd type it in here but space isn't infinite, sooo... heh.

CAN I MAKE AUS OF EXISTING OCS INTO ATHENAI?
Of course! AUs of OCs are allowed - just make sure you own them and we're good!

HOW LONG DOES APPROVAL TAKE?
It can vary! Usually it'll take a week max, but you'll have a much faster time of it if you join our Discord server.
