Kaoriyume Visual Traits Guide

Kaoriyume basic Anatomy
This is the basic anatomy of a standard Kaoriyume!
Please note: Kaoriyume do not have any reproductive genetalia, organs or nipples.
Wool
All kaoriyume have wool around their necks! There’s no limit on how big the wool can be, as long as there is a little bit.
Horns
Standard Kaoriyume usually only have 2 horns.
With a rare trait however, it’s possible for a kaoriyume to have only one horn,
or even 3 to 5 horns!
And with a Unique trait, it’s possible for your Kaoriyume to have up to 8 horns!
Horn Shapes
Standard Kaoriyume usually only have naturally shaped horns! This could be regular goat/sheep horns, or even antlers.
However, with a unique trait your Kaori could have horns of any shape!
Eyes
Since kaoriyume eyes are very sensitive to light, they usually have their eyes closed!
Please note; Your Kaoriyume must have closed eyes on the Main ML image, however you are allowed to have a seperate open eyed version if you wish.
This doesn’t mean they can’t have open eyes though. In fact, Kaoriyume eyes are very customizable! There’s no real limit on what you can do with the eyes.
And with a rare trait, your kaoriyumes eyes can even glow!
Ears
All Kaoriyume have at least 1 pair of sheep ears, while a rare trait can allow your Kaori to have another pair of ears!
The extra pair can be any land mammal, and doesn’t necessarily have to be sheep.
Kaoriyume always has at least 1 pair of sheep ears.
The only time this can be overwritten is with event traits.
Legs
Standard Kaoriyume usually have hooved legs, while a rare trait can give your kaori pawed legs instead.
Standard Kaoriyume usually have really short fur on their legs, however with a rare trait, your kaori can have fur as long as you’d like.
As shown here, all kaori must have some sort colored fur beneath their ankle wool! Max amount of fur can reach up to around the hips.
Tail
Standard Kaori can have sheep tails, or just any land mammal tail.
With a rare trait, it is also possible for your kaoriyume to have any type of aquatic tails, mythical animal tails, or reptilian tails!
With a Unique trait however, your Kaori can have mixed tails! These tails can be a mix between any types of tails.
An lastly, with a different unique trait, it’s possible for your kaori to have non-animal tails / any tails that don’t generally have fur or is made from other materials than flesh & blood.
Please note; the shown tails are only examples, and the non-animal tails trait isn’t restricted to these tails alone.
Amount
Standard Kaori usually only have 1 tail, Rare Kaori can have up to 3, while a Unique trait can allow your Kaori to have up to 10 tails.
Lantern Placements
All Kaoriyume have at least 1 lantern!
These lanterns can be placed on any of the shown places.
Shape & amount
Lanterns can be any shape! They aren’t restricted to just these.
Typically, a lantern is made of glass &/or metal.
Kaori can only have up to 3 lanterns! They must have at least 1.
Active Lanterns
When a Kaoriyume's lantern is active, it can turn into an object, weapon or familiar.
All lanterns are required to be visible on the Kaoriyume's object(s)/weapon(s)/familiar(s)!
One lantern can only house one object/weapon/companion.
However, an object/weapon/companion can have more than one lanterns attached to them!
Extra lantern traits
Optionally, it’s possible for the lanterns to have jewelry or accessories attached!
This is a Standard trait.
And with a rare trait, the lantern can be detached from the skin, but must still be attached by something (ie. an earring or thread).
This also counts if the lantern is on top of clothes & not directly on the skin.
Dream Mark
All Kaoriyume have at least 1 dreammark!
The Mark can be on any of the shown places.
Types
Dreammarks usually take the form of patterns!
A standard Kaori’s patterns have to be identical, if they have multiple.
Other than patterns, a solid color is allowed as well!
And with a Rare trait, the Dreammarks can be mismatched instead of identical.
Amount
Standard: 1 - 2 Dreammarks
Rare: 3 Dreammarks
Unique: 4 - 5 Dreammarks
object, weapon, & companion
There are 3 types of Kaoriyume.
Their type determines if a Kaoriyume has an object, a weapon or a companion.
The first type are called guiders, who guide dreams.
All guiders have an object of some kind.
Any objects are allowed as long as they do not lean into a weapon. Inappropiate & NSFW objects are not allowed.
The second type are called protectors, who protect dreams.
All protectors have a weapon of some kind.
Weapons are any thing that can cause damage, both with sharp edges & blunt force.
The third type are called tamers, who tame nightmares.
All tamers have an animal companion/familiar.
Any kind of animal is allowed!
No matter the type, the lantern must be present on a Kaoriyume's object, weapon or companion!
A Kaori cannot have both objects & weapons or familiars, it's one or the other.
These are not required! Depending on the rarity, you can add these traits to your Kaoriyume!
